- "The Royal website will, I hope, encourage you to make full use of the world wide web."
On 6 March 1997, Queen Elizabeth II visited Kingsbury High School in Brent to launch the new Royal website, www.royal.gov.uk. It would, the Queen hoped, encourage older people in Britain and the Commonwealth realise the full potential of the internet and the world wide web. Touring the school, the monarch met students who explained and demonstrated how computers and the internet were helping them in their studies before unveiling the new royal website before an audience of pupils and staff.

My favourite website! I remember almost every change it had gone through and marvelled at every redesign.
How good Her Majesty was still looking back then.
I remember thinking 'a royal website' - is this really appropriate?
Blimey
She ended up using Zoom at 95 more than I did at 35
No, Britain should be a republic.
@eightiesmusic1984 why a Republic specifically?
Never have, and never will - certainly not in this life. The UK has remained true to itself in its way of doing things in a world where others have not.
That website! 🤣
I thought that was john cleese at 0:30 😂
And it’s gone downhill from then.
???
Why he used right hand but mouse was on the left
