Considering that Diana was in her early 20s dealing with all these expectations and pressures, it's amazing that she withstood it, and with such composure, grace and kindness. A true testament to her rare quality

It does seem like that generation was more mature earlier. You never would’ve seen photos of them leaving a bar drunk where as the generation after did so publicly. It will be interesting watching the children now grow into their lives especially since they have 2 boys and a girl. So much perfection was expected from Diana at 19 that I don’t think she began to enjoy herself until the end.

It was purely Charles' fault!! Had he not let Camila to be around, even uninvited, the marriage would have survived.
They were in love in 1981, as I sat across the whole family and Ch &D were holding hands, giggling and deliberately dropping something on to the floor so they could both bend down and tickle each other unseen by others.
There were no cameras, so they were very relaxed, the queen was chasing a bee which had got into the room somehow. Philip took his tie off and put it back on again. They were just like us.
I wore black and red outfit and so did Diana. They were so similar it was uncanny. Black flat shoes.
I was so young but an adult and this was an adventure for me. 😊

the good things he does is preserving his family's embarrassing wealth going to billions and billions of pounds, some open to see, but majority hidden in the offshore accounts, in a string of firms owning other firms and the string is so huge, no one lives long enough to unravel this string!!
William has inherited 1 billion of the visible wealth. He'll faint when he sees the rest after his father's death! It will scare him enormously to see that he has the responsibility of caring for this wealth which is in shares but vastly in property !!
He'll be able to take Kate on a long journey around London and countryside to show her hundreds of acres they own, the mansions, the hotels, shopping centres, restaurants, theatres, whole streets like the Regent Street and many, many more!!!
He'll show her the land they get 40 % of income from , although they don't even own it. Poor taxman is scratching his head how this is even happening and Charles is not even paying tax on his earnings from it. I've read about this one from The Guardian and the author was absolutely correct!!!
How did the royal family have managed to amass so much wealth?
Can they show the provenance of their possessions?
I would like to see it.
Russian oligarchs have to show the provenance of the money they have used to purchase the mansions in London.
The same law should be applied to everyone.
Let's start with paying the inheritance tax.
It's a democratic country and democracy we want, for everyone!!!
Charles must've been grateful his surgeon hasn't inherited his title from his father !!!
They should've joked, just before the operation and should've said " my father was a surgeon too, so I have inherited his title as you did sir" 😂
I'm a ceremonial surgeon only!! Nurse-scalpel please, and you sir, you can put your crown on the chair. You're in your own private wing and no one will nick it.

Diana was so lovely. The part where Charles explained about being a vegetarian was awesome. He said if you only ate meat no one would complain at all but if someone eats only vegetables then all hell seems to break lose. Of course this was 1985 so vegetarianism is much more accepted now. Then he was asked if his interest in alternative medicine means he's mildly eccentric. He said he imagines that people who don't think alternative medicine has any relevance are seen as eccentric. He prefers looking at a person not as a machine but as a whole person in the classic, ancient sense. Charles was definitely ahead of his time.

Sign of the times that Diana was constantly asked about her appearance and dress. She was very loyal and devoted to Charles, referring to her “husband”. Such deference. I’m not sure if he fully appreciated Diana and what she took on. I’m fully appreciative of Diana’s attitude and professionalism despite her young age. What an absolute tragedy that their marriage didn’t work out. In hindsight she was suffering with her mental health and her eating issues. Yet she managed to keep a brave face.
RIP Diana. I’m sorry you didn’t attain that much deserved crown.

I still think C did break that up. She had her own husband and 2 children , she could have put the carnal needs aside and stopped it. Totally eradicated it, no hunting parties or communication. Charles and Diana needed time to learn to evolve . The marriage could have worked , but it didn't and I suppose history had other plans . She was fabulous.

Seeing this breaks my heart. Even though Diana never stood a chance, and knew from the beginning that her husband loved another woman much more than he could ever love her, she fought hard and desperately to win her husbands love. To the point where she put up a brave facade, pretending to be the happy and fulfilled wife. In reality the marriage had broken down right after the wedding because C couldn't get over his infatuation with Camilla. Diana's life was a sad one.

Diana was so brilliant at connecting with people from all walks of life and forming an instant connection. Her eyes were literally mesmerizing, and her voice/accent is spellbinding. It's no wonder everyone was in love with her. She seemed so genuinely interested in everyone she spoke with. I've really never heard her speak before, such a shame what happened. Charles was a good speaker, but more meandering, brooding, and less affable.

Indeed ! The very accurate reason based on my experience is that when you have this art of contacting with people in a very enchanting way as Diana does at her times is because she is speaking to other ppl, and these ppl didn't hurt her. While she would feel too preserved to talk in the same way wit ppl she lives with. It's basically a seeking love matter. Couldn't believe she died at an early age, she's a legend ❤
