He had 4 daughters. One unfortunately died aged 2 of septacemia. Another, Sarah, became an actress and was a lively character and spent some time on remand in Holloway prison.
Lady Soames, the first Patron of the International Churchill Society. She had a wonderful spirit and is greatly missed.
She sounds like the Queen in her younger years if you listen carefully
You are so very right! Both speak The Queen's English!
That's because it's the Queen's English 😊

She looks so much like her Grandmother, Jenni Jerome
Interesting. Jennie was apparently a great beauty I do not think photos capture this
@@pennydreadful5217 Is your remark about Jenni or Churchill’s daughter? Have you seen pictures of Jenni Jerome in her 20’s and in her 50’s. She did not age.
@@janebeatty9472 Jennie. I do think she was a beauty, but this was probably more evident in real life more than photos. In her biography many friends and acquaintances remark on her beauty.
She's on her book tour for bio of "Clementine" which btw is very insightful into WSC's life
Mary, Churchill's daughter, is reminiscent to this ear of Nancy Mitford and some of the Mitford sister's pronunciation and voices generally. This was, one would think, due largely to the broad likeness of their upbringing and social "class". An interesting coincidence is that in their adolescent years several children of each family were fairly close companions, as Lady Redesdale (Sydney Mitford) and Clementine Churchill were related.
Thank you
The was Mary Churchill who was the youngest of Churchill's daughters. She died in 2016 aged on 31 May 2014 aged 91.
Willy she can't die twice.
@@stevebbuk They don't call him Spinney for nothin'
wonderful to hear a true British Accent...sadly, while it was quite common to hear what was termed a "cut glass " accent back then...Inc my own Mother...Those have gone...(or gourn 😃) no one talks with those vowel sounds these days.
Well, it says 1979 in the title. Also the interviewer is Hana Gartner.
Mary Soames, Baroness Soames, LG, DBE, FRSL (née Spencer-Churchill; 15 September 1922 - 31 May 2014) was an English author.
CBC must do a better job of commenting these historical clips. When was this recorded? Who is the interviewer?
this interview is pretty interesting, but who's the interviewer?
I kept expecting those glasses to swallow her face.
Is she Sarah or Mary?

It’s Mary. Winston’s youngest daughter.
Mary Soames, Baroness Soames, LG, DBE, FRSL (née Spencer-Churchill; 15 September 1922 - 31 May 2014) was the
She had 5 children.
Is that Edwina?
@tarnishedmercury I think the interviewer was Anna Maria Tremonti and according to Winston Churchill's daughter hairdo it must have been around the early 60s...
I've heard a lot of Anna Maria Tremonti - who is very forceful and blunt - 'the Mike Wallace of Canada.' But - I dont think it's her. This interviewer was well-known in Canada - but I don't know her name.
Mussolini was in no way a bad person. He was a skeptic of parliamentary democracy; and the financial dictates this system inevitably falls under

Churchill´s daughter looks so very much like every, single so-called, European `Royal Princess´, male!

Winston Churchill was responsible for 10 million deaths in Bengal
All bengali dies due to starvation
Because Churchill decided to transfer food supplies to Europe from India
So for some people, Churchill was hero but for 1000000 bengalis. He was a living embodiment of devil.
(Just imagine you have ample amount of food in your plate but you are not allowed to eat it and someone forcefully took that food and become a national hero..
........ this is the world we live in )
Rest in pieces mr *Churc hell*
This ridiculous lie is being relentlessly sold to generations of Indian schoolchildren. It is complete rubbish. Bengal suffered a Famine following a typhoon and bad harvest along with hoarding by greedy Indian grain speculators. In normal times the Imperial government would have brought food from Canada and US but there was a war on. They did bring grain shipments from Africa at great risk from Japanese submarines but sadly it was not enough. One reason for partition after Independence later was that the Muslims well remembered how the Hindu states had refused the Viceroy's rationing scheme which would have made much food available for their predominantly Muslim neighbors in Bengal.
