I love how this games music have two different emotion, for each track. One for combat and one for out of combat and it flows from one to the other seemlessly. I always thought that was amazing how it does that. Also how it could change at almost any part of the music depending on where you triggered combat. The effort for that deserves more attention I think.
Even when you understand how it works mechanically... it's still impressive musically. Each area's music is broken up into 6 second segments, for part 1 and part 2, and then there's also 6 second "transition" tracks going from part 1 to part 2, and also 6 second tracks going from part 2 to part 1. I know some other games have dynamic music systems but they're usually adding or subtracting instruments, rather than transitioning into another song. I.E. LittleBigPlanet
This song perfectly captured the mood of Red Ring Rico's story and the reality of the ruins and what awaited inside them. It's such a great melodic example of a horror song
Rico was the adventurer who left the message pods behind… And who is also basically taken over by Falz, and you end up fighting at the end. Remember when you win, and the Red Ring drops in the cinematic? To be fair, the story was not emphasized at all in this game.
Paul Reed lmao. Dude, I played two 2P mode with a friend and it lagged so bad in a funny way. She usually killed the Delsabers while I was basically live bait for them to come and murder. 4P sounds atrocious lol
This game changed the gaming industry, everyone that tried this game Online at its release know the feel. It should be recognized as such next to zelda occarina of time and super mario bros. It legit revolutionized the way we were gonna play console game forever, and was a prelude to years to come. So much underrated in every top 10, it's criminal
Slashing your way through the twisted halls of the Ruins. You've become a veteran of them. You've even fashioned a sword and a shield from the countless Delsabers that have fallen before you. Who's the boss of the Ruins now..?
Low and behold, the Dark Falz. The God of Destruction of whom governs the MENACING inhabitants of the Ancient Ruins (Belra, Delsabers, Chaos Gunners etc.) And a ridiculously large three part area to boot. This theme is such a reminder of these things
Just came to mind that the Gran Wizard is somewhat a homage to Lashiec.... He did that electric attack in the original and so did that monster. Not to mention this stage was where all the evil power was coming from. Gotta love all the nostalgia!!!
Ha, this brings back the memories of trying to beat ruins on Ultimate difficulty, never managed to beat the final boss; never got past the 2nd phase with my level 120 ranger (I think, it's been at least a decade since I last was able to play on gamecube, and my brother put away the Wii) due to that cheap freezing attack before getting rekted by three of those bits simulaneously for an instant death except only one time. Still, all of the attempts were fun, running through ruins with this music playing.
Yeah leveling was such a grind. I never quite beat ultimate mode either, with a Lv116 FOmar and some really good gear. I'm sure it'd be doable at 200 but, who has the time for that? Haha
Love this song, very similar to Pray for IDOLA, I love the chaotic dark feels this song has, pretty damn good for a final dungeon, just like Abyssmal Ball -Banquet-
Trudging through the ruins, fighting through Dimenians, La Dimenians, So Dimenians, Claws, Buclaws, Dark Belrose's and of course who couldn't forget being ambushed by 2+ Delsabers at a time. I couldn't accept that I was this close to Dark Falz for as little time as I spent playing through PSO: EP 1&2 Plus but I managed to grind my way through and eventually take out Dark Falz at Lv28 with a HUmar (even though I had to use a Lockgun the first few times I killed Dark Falz.)
That moment when you realize that the monsters you have been killing in this dungeon... Were the people of Pioneer 1. Delsabers are Hunters Wizards are the Forces, Claws are Mags. And so on and so forth, with some of the Casts being back in area 3. They were all gathered by the one the all IDOLized most, a young female hunter, who became a hero because a hero was needed. Because your in rehab after realizing what you have done.

He probably means that when the US version of PSO2 comes out, it's probably not going to have all the things that were added to PSO2, such as the new classes, weapons, items, etc right away, like as soon as you purchase the game. it may take some time for that to happen to the US, much like it did on the JP version. That's my assumption lmao
