Today we are learning UCLA gymnast, Katelyn Rosen’s floor routine! If you’re new here, I was also a UCLA gymnast back in 2020, so it was pretty wild being back on UCLA’s campus for today’s video. Be sure to keep an eye out for PART 2 (coming next week) because I will be teaching Katelyn MY perfect 10 floor routine next!! I love you guys + thanks so much for watching!

I honestly think Katelyn’s floor routine is the most innovative I’ve ever seen. Awesome choreography & musicality. And I love the slight difference in the movement when Gracie does it.

For anyone wondering, the music in the first section of her routine is Scars by Basement Jaxx, recognised it immediately! I loved that album when I was a teen 😁
I can also hear parts of Santogold-You'll Find a Way (Switch and Sinden remix). :) I want to know the specific remix they used tho! its so gooood!

I can teach you my floor routine too. It’s sitting on the floor while leaning against the couch, with my dog on my lap playing PS5 and eating snacks. Really quite easy to master. Yours are way cooler though.
This is the most artistic floor routine I’ve ever seen! It’s actually like dance, not just the weird twitches of most floor routines.

In this video you can clearly see how specific to the athletes themselves the floor routines are made by the choreographers! Gracie could do a perfect routine, it will never look as good as when Katelyn performes it.

Start with journaling, prayer, worship, turn off bad music, verses, living like the fruit of the spirit each day. Nobody is perfect except Jesus. It’s okay to make mistakes, we all do. Feel free to reach out and talk for anything. ask God for wisdom in every situation. God loves u and so do i. Have a blessed day friend. Some of my fav verses: Matthew 19:26, John 3:16, Isaiah 30:21.
