This is basically FREE in 2024. My God what an amazing bike. I just got a 2004 Vulcan and have yet to ride it, so I'm looking forward to the day I get to since it's in the shop getting a once over.
Awesome to see someone else put Harley bags on a Vulcan.
I did the same thing with my VN1500, it came out pretty good, but the shocks wont allow you to put them too far forward, so the overall bike it quite long now! A set of Progressive 11" springs brought it down a bit too since the bags have to sit a little high up as well.
How did you add the bags? I have a 1600 nomad that I am trying to put HD bags on.
what kind of saddle bags do you have to you have an part number for them i have the same bike and i would like to do the same set up
thanks in advance
could you tell us exactly what bags are they? and how do you install them?
The bags I used are just typical 90's Harley units, I think they came off a Road King. The tubular mounts are also typical Harley and they bolted up at the rear fine. The front had to be rigged with some custom made brackets I ran down from above. As stated, the rear shocks on the 1st gen 1500 don't fit up to the shock cavities in the HD bags, so on the first round I just ran them back behind the shocks. They stuck out the back a bit, so I mounted my license plate to the lower crossbar between the bags and it filled in the space nicely. Last winter I tore the whole thing off and rebuilt it with new front mounts coming off the passenger peg mounts (again using custom made brackets) Using a die cutter, I trimmed new recesses into the inner wall to clear my shocks and installed a carpet kit to hide the epoxy. The Zeus quick disconnects for each box still work and I also hung my new oval mufflers from the exhaust hardpoints under each bag. This will never be a simple bolt on job so long as you have piggyback dual shocks, and even with a single central rear shock, you will likely still need to make some custom brackets at the front.
@@84gssteve that sounds amazing!
Nice bike, mine is a 2002, but two up seats. It needs too much work. pipes are louder than stock. I like this ones saddle bags! and fairng, alittle high lookin. but price is right!

OMG! Someone please tell me how they put Harley bags and Fairing onto this Vulcan! I have a Drifter 1500 and have been looking for this!
They slide on and bolt down very easy
Law abiding biker has a video
I had to customize brackets for mine.
Love this bike!
I do not know if I miss a detail or you are hiding something. the classic 1500 does not start at the first attempt. For that you have a fuel priming mechanism that is clearly seen behind the second cylinder on the left side of the engine. I own that motorcycle so I know I'm talking, you just have to see the image at 2:54 minutes.
I bought a 03 custom with 24000 I paid $1990 to sweet a deal. 1600 custom. Down side they have a recall the tank leaks back on seam under seat.
nice Bike! I want my by like that too!! I have 1500cc classic too

Can someone point me out on the rite direction on how to install bags like on the video
How can I get in touch with someone on the availability of this bike? Hope to hear a response from you
This video is 5 years old man lol...now it's almost 6 years old.
is this bike still for sale
Gorgeous and so fucking cheap... Here in the Netherlans this would be at least 6.000 EUROS
I bought harley hardbags and brackets and they need alot of modifying to get them to work can anyone give me advice on how to make them work
I mounted the bags from the E-Glide with a bracket vor dyna (craftride). The bags are a bit higher than the one in the video but u only need to modify one stanchion to fit it on the bike. Took me 1 hour of work.
Sold....??
Nice...
So ya gonna ride it?!
Where the hell are all the Drifters!?
No carburettor on this model mate Get ya facts straight
Then why is there a choke sitting in front of the left side cover then?
@@hunterxander2075 it's called a running choke. This is fuel injected. My 99 drifter has one too.

2004 is fuel injected
Robert Jeffery not all are f.i. early 2004's were carbed.
All injected in Australia from 2001
How many horsepower are these 1500. 1600 cc bikes. ???? The 900cc. Vulcans are only 48 horsepower. !!!! No wonder everybody wants to get rid of them.!!!!!
That's what I thought!! Because mine is.
@@markbaade725 FI stands for Fuel Injected
