I can’t imagine how wonderful it would be to see them live.
I saw them twice in 2023. They are amazing live; takes you to another place.
With all that is going on in the world at the moment, that was so beautiful and uplifting. Praise be to our Lord.
So well said 🫶
Oh Jeff, I want to see that "behind the scenes "video too!!! This awesome group never ceases to amaze me.
This is just one of the most sublime pieces of choral music in existence 🥹😍 We are privileged to be able to sing it in our next concert with Rheinstimmen having one of Tenebrae‘s low basses supporting us, so this will be one of the most memorable performances of my singing career 🥰
😃👏👏👏
Have a marvelous performance!! ❤Teu! Teu! !Teu!
Beautiful! An unexpected surprise! Perfect for a cold Sunday morning! 🙏 ⛪️
Yes indeed!
It's always very emotional to hear these perfectly composed, arranged and sung songs. Thanks Jeff, this piece carries me into the German night 🎶🫶🏻💤💤💤
G.morning Jeff! This performance touched me in a very special way...tears actually! It was stunningly beautiful!! Thank you for sharing this....your just the best Jeff!! 😊♥️
Sir William Henry Harris was a British organist and composer. For 30 years, from 1923 to1953, he was a professor of organ and harmony, at the Royal college of Music. From 1956 to 1961 he was director of musical studies at the Royal School of Church Music. In 1933 he was appointed organist at Saint George's Chapel at Windsor. He was most productive during his time at Windsor. he retired in 1961 and passed away in 1973.
I just watched this for the first time, what a great window into how Voces 8 does what they do. Outstanding! The brother I couldn't remember is Paul Smith, who is now the leader of the Voces 8 Foundation. Voces 8 is not only a concert and recording group, music education is a huge part of what they do. Elinore, the blond soprano, left the group about this time, and Molly joined as the second soprano. It is my understanding that they tour, either performing or educating MOST of the time, and it is a demanding schedule. Voces 8 is the pinnacle of choral music, so there are always applicants to join.
That "Amen" is glorious, one of the best.
I follow everything they do. Their music brings me sensuous and celestial vibes all at once - Heaven and earth. ❤Thankyou for reacting to them! ❤
More coming!
Wow! That was gorgeous!
Thanks, Jeff. Another flawless performance from VOCES8. Love that last chord change.
So loved your reaction again - it's one of the Voces8 pieces I play on a regular basis and it never fails to uplift me. 😊
This one really runs deep. So incredibly beautiful. 👏👏👏🫶
A British wonder
Do not forget that Blake Morgan, lead tenor and monster arranger is from Michigan, USA
For Jeff and anyone else that is interested, I am posting a link to a Voces 8 workshop from 2 years ago. The actual work shop starts 9 minutes in, and you will meet Barnaby and his brother, whose first name escapes me just now, and all the singers from that time. The workshop was sent all over the world and had participants from al over the world. You can learn a lot about how they do what they do.

THANK YOU, RICHARD! 👏👏👏
Two 4 voice "choirs" in this piece? Beautiful
check out their exquisite version of misere mei
I have a theory that it is being so tall that enables Andrea to reach those high notes ...
Don't forget the high heels.
Hahaha this is great! 😄👏👏👏
Jeff, I need to request this one. Please do "Shall We Gather at the River" by Voces8 and Ringmasters. The incredible arrangement is done by their very own Blake Morgan. I promise, this on will blow your mind, and I would love to hear your thoughts on it. Please???
As you wish…

Thank you Jeff. I enjoyed your reaction and your thoughts. Such an incredible arrangement done by such incredible musicians. I am a latecomer, but do enjoy your videos very much.
There's a couple of behind the scenes videos I've found:
VOCES8 & Eric Whitacre: 'Sing Gently' Singalong (7 Jul 2023, 60 min)

It seems like a lot of volumn, for just eight people.
