Pretty solid overview of your experience in interviews. One thing I took note of is that even thought you did come prepared and answered questions well and thoroughly, there were one or more that you weren't as prepared for but still landed the UX Research role, which I think is awesome!

Really appreciated this video, Kristen! I found myself nodding to a lot of the questions you were sharing-- I remember being asked some of these in a prior interview that didn't work out. Wish I saw this video sooner to prep!
If you did have a downloadable list of the questions, I think that would be super handy for us to use as a guide for interview prepping. :) Looking forward to seeing more of your tips!

Curious to know if you submitted a portfolio with your resume? (Since so many job posting require a portfolio for ux researcher positions)

Thanks for the feedback. Do you prefer no music at all or just a different style?

    • @emmalynramos8304

@@Fearlessly-Kristen I personally thought the music worked fine in the background. It felt more personal and set the mood of the video, it sort of felt motivational in a way. In some videos with other people that don't include music: I notice echos or background noises more and ends up being a distraction. This is just my opinion, I'm sure other people will have their own feedback. But I suggest lowering the volume of the background music.
Other than that, your video is super helpful. I'm currently preparing for my first UX research interview. I've had UX design interviews, but what you mentioned is definitely relevant and relatable.

It's helpful to know the experience level and specialization of the folks who interview you. It gives you ideas for questions and conversation starters to learn more about them. Plus, many people become flattered by the fact you took the time to research their skillset.
