- A quick video showcasing all Undertale Musical References in Deltarune Chapter 2. I have not included the apparent referecnes to "Your Best Nightmare" as I don't think that they are intentional.
I also had to shorten the full name of "Chill Jailbreak Alarm to Study and Relax to" as it wouldn't fit.

What is a Homestuck?
@@churro1201(spoiler light) homestuck is a webseries made by Andrew Hussie, which features 4 kids as they do such activities, as get stuck at home, get unstuck, and prepare to meet their makers. Homestuck is indirectly related to undertale/deltarune bc toby fox worked on some of the songs
Giga Size also incorporates elements from Asgore’s theme which itself includes the Heartache leitmotif.
Now that I think about it I guess it does. Not the melody but the rhythm. Same with Burn In Despair from Undertale.

"Chill Jailbreak Alarm" would be more closely compared to "Pathetic House", since it's just a club remix of that tune.
I think they're generally in order of OST appearance

The fact that Dummy of all things is used in reference to Spamton is insane. Literally making me shake and cry.
Ok that snippet of the undertale transition in welcome to the city makes me think its gonna show itself more and more leading up to chapter 7

Welcome to the City sounds a lot like Snowdin Town sometimes, pretty sure it's just a coincidence

I think “Digital Roots” has “Your Best Nightmare” in it. It’s kind of hidden as ambient noise in the track, but if you listen to that, and then play the start of “Your Best Nightmare,” they both have the same tune-
Fun fact: that one interpolated part of "Undertale" in "WELCOME TO THE CITY" also appears in "74" by Itoki Hana, which Toby Fox composed and did guest vocals for, while the chorus of "74" is itself interpolated by the intro to "WELCOME TO THE CITY".

In the Queens basement if you listen closely you can hear Omega Flowey's theme but it's slowed down using a lower pitch instrument. Just thought it was interesting since this video is going over Undertale motifs in Deltarune
cool "christmas" easter egg at the beginning
hi! great video, i just wanted to come here to mention one leitmotif you missed, in giga size the drum beat that kicks in at 0:15 has the same rhythm as ASGORE at 0:34 (the main melody at this part). It also appears in heartache, but i find the asgore one more clear.

Shouldn’t count that one if we’ve spent 6 years not counting “Burn In Despair!” for having the same drum beat as that part of ASGORE
and no one ever talks about how they missed a dummy letimotif
You forgot "Asgore/Heartache" in Giga Size and "Your Best Nightmare" in the Queen Castle basement ambience
Edit: You also forgot "SAVE The World" motif in the "Begining", and obviously "Gasters theme" in "Another Him"

I hadn't even caught that one riff from Track 71 in Welcome to the City but now I can't unhear it
There is also Home in You Can Always Come Home, and the jingle in Undertale/Welcome To The City also appears in Hopes And Dreams
Knock You Down !! also uses Enemy Approaching's motif I believe.
There's also burn in despair near the beginning of giga size

the main melody is using The World Revolving leitmotif and the one behind it is Battle Against a True Hero/Power of NEO leitmotif, I don't hear anything that sounds like CORE

It makes sense that Spamton's theme has a sample from Dummy... because on a certain level, he does turn out to be a puppet!
I noticed that descending set of seven notes in Welcome to the City because when I listened to the track "Undertale," I would always wait for them to appear and sometimes sing them in places they didn't.
This video and the one for the first chapter were awesome! I really hope you do this for future chapters. If Tobey uses his theme in future chapters I’m gonna cry

Burn In Despair also seems to appear in the song that plays when everyone joins the Thrash Machine before the Giga fight.
And of course all of the "Your Best Nightmare" leitmotifs such as the bass at the very beginning of Big Shot.
The songs in Honksong.ogg are relevant to the situation, for Spear of Justice Undyne is there, Dogsong because the dog caused the accident and kinda Metal Crusher (cars are basically robots) the outlier is Your Best Friend. Any theorys what this could signify welcome!

"Undertale" in "Welcome to the City" was the first thing I noticed on this track. I even wrote about this under the video about minor motifs in Undertle (in which you also missed the Hotel and Can You Really Call This A Hotel).
I thought of doing this vid back in the days, cool that someone did it !

In Flashback (Snowgrave) the melody for gaster's theme can kinda be heard in the background.
I'm not sure that counts as a leitmotif, I feel like it's more that they both use descending scales?

It still uses the notes in the same places as they were originally, having all seven placed at the last measure with the first eighth note missing
It's different from saying that any four notes are Gaster's theme

THANK YOU for pointing out that UNDERTALE is im Welcome to the city! I've seen no one point it out yet noticed it when the first version was posted on twitter 2 years before chapter 2 came out.
I also think that the start of welcome to the city (2:56 to 3:08 in the above vid) sounds very similar to the undertale title theme and i was convinced they shared a motif in that portion for a long while (but i think the notes are too different). one part that i think does match up with part of undertale/title theme is 3:04 to 3:05 (the three notes played fast)

Power of Neo and Battle Against a True Hero have the same main melody, but I just put Power of Neo as that's clearly what it's referencing.
Battle Against A True Hero and Power of NEO are the same leitmotif. They just use different instruments.

interesting that beside from the joke songs and welcome to the city (which i thought was a bit of a stretch), the song that has undertale references in it also happens to be the one that plays when you fight a boss whose connections with strange entities are talked about often

Not super on-topic but this is the most recent Deltarune leitmotif video so figured I'd ask it here, and also mentioning it to you since you're good with this music stuff: Think there's any sort of hidden connection between Bluebird of Misfortune, and Flashback Excerpt from the Weird Route? Since it's called Flashback Excerpt, and in the game files Bluebird of Misfortune is called Berdly Flashback, I thought who knows, maybe they have a similar sound if you do some speed/tone messing with them, kinda like Undertale Main Theme and The Choice, though they aren't exactly the same, neither are Welcome to the City and Welcome to the City (Weird Route Version), so who knows.
