Have watched all of your vids. From the first big adventure and all. You are both so likeable. And it’s also great to see Fran evolve over the episodes. She used to be pretty quiet, and in one early vid, I recall her saying “I don’t wanna talk…they won’t like my accent” , or words to that effect. Now Fran is a completely equal contributor with info and her confidence of camera is evident. Great work you two. Big fan here. Keep these vids coming. Rob, Koonya, Tasmania
We get to explore a little right along with you. The scenery in and out of the water is fabulous. Top notch cinematography. The affection between you two is obvious which makes for an even better viewing experience for your fans.
My first job at a steakhouse had a secret seasoning. It was 50% sea salt, 25% granulated roasted garlic and 25% ground black pepper in a simple metal shaker. It works perfectly for fish if you are looking to expand your cooking kit. It goes on anything. Cheers!
This is nuts. I am so happy to find you guys concentrated on your channel with just you guys. The theme of showing us the beach and their inhabitants is marvelous. I am back. Love you both; thank you for this. So happy.
I could watch you guys for hours on end!!! I love the island life!!!!! Spent 2 months on an uninhabited island when I was young, shouldn't have left !!!!!
Y'all always visit the most beautiful places, aside from all the rubbish. Blessings and much love Strick and Fran! Always a real pleasure watching! 🙏 ❤
Fran your English is so good now. Your goodbye was so flawless, it took me a second to hear your beautiful accent! Speaking a second language is not something most Americans take the time to perfect. Good for you. Love your shows guys. Jack - I would love to see you attempt to build a stone oven with materials on island. I always wondered if it could be done.
Fran, I know most posts are about how pretty you are and I agree , but you also seem to be a super sweet person. I hope you two continue for a long time.😊
I love watching you both Fran is the perfect partner to be stranded on a tropical island. I have been wondering if you guys have run into World War two recks. Or abandon stuff on any of the islands you have been on. By the way I don't blame Fran for ducking from those Birds. Being attacked by large birds isn't very fun.
Hey guys love your vids . The way to cook in under ground oven its called Lovo in Fiji is to dig a pit light a fire then put the rocks on the fire to heat the rocks ones the fire turns to coal and rock is hot you then put the fish that is wrapped in banana leaves coconut cream and lemon also goes good with the fish . As soon as you put the fish in you have to start covering the pit 1st with green leaves, banana leaves are the best as it gives good flavour then cover with soil or in your case sand until you don't see any smoke excape usually it will cook roughly same time as oven would but the end result is yummy and Amazing , hope you try it enjoy and stay safe 🙂
This is the way I saw them cook on the beach in Okinawa while I was stationed there in 1970. Build a fire in a sand pit and when it burns down to coals, cover it with about an inch of sand or pebbles, lay the fish wrapped in banana or palm fronds, cover with an inch of sand and build a fire on top. When the top fire dies down to coals, scrap them away and remove the fish.
Great program with two great people in "paradise" .. Really enjoyed your frankness and willingness to explore and enjoy the fruits of the Earth and share with us. Aside from the sad constant trash, I love how these two not only clean some of it up, they repurpose it so a two for one. But this kind of lifestyle is beautiful. Amazing surroundings, sights, sounds and experience you can't find on a screen. Too bad my wife wouldn't wanna go with me if I went lol!
I love the fish knowledge and the cooking of Fran. She is a master chef and I love the way she adapts her cooking to whatever is available. Good on ya Fran. Good job Strick on finding and winning Fran. Would that I could do as well. A cook that looks good. Wow. One problem, my mother said, never trust a skinny cook. But there Fran is doing well at cooking and as slender as a healthy woman can be.
Another amazing day. Thanks for bringing us along. Try heating up a flat rock first, put it on the rock bed than add your fish and a top fire. Thanks again for sharing your time with us.
We are going shopping! I love that Fran is talking more...so much better now. Run Forest Run..... all the trash is just so sad. " i am glad you like it because it is going in the hut"
I really enjoy your channel ...... for future adventures with open fire zero cutlery you might want to consider a couple of bush craft levelling up options ..... surrounded by coconuts weave simple basket/wrap to cook fish/food in coals or ground oven style, you can make a pretty easy set of tongs from a split mid vein of palm frond or green branch ( just rough bind end, jam rock or stick to wedge open tongs and rough bind just in front of the wedge) this makes a springy pair of tongs that you can manipulate food, coals, rocks in a fire without getting burnt. You can also whittle some chop sticks which also make eating hot food a little easier.
Really enjoy your show. I lived there in the early 1970s, but never got to the high islands. Nearer the equator. Was at the bearer reef and Cains, but mainly lived in Sydney and Perth. I subscriber. Enjoy how you are comfortable in the environment and know your animals. Nice people. 💜❤🧡💛💚

I'm always taken with the colour of the water when you pop a drone shot in. The degrees of Turquoise to Azure Blue that the water appears is just spellbinding to me. I was lucky enough back in the late 1980's and early 1990's to be able to vacation with and dive with my parents in a small town outside Guaymas Mexico called San Carlos, and compared to the dark green waters of Canada's west coast where I have dove for years, the gorgeous blue water of the Sea of Cortez was very welcome. That deep blue of the Sea of Cortez, as beautiful as it is, honestly is miles away from the myriad of blue shades you have where you are. Absolutely stunning!! Fran, I was thinking if you could build a decent sized "A" out of slabs of stone or broken coral, you could build the fire under the line going horizontal on the "A" and use the triangle top bit as your oven. I remember many, many years ago in the mid 1970's being in Cub and Boy Scouts and building a similar structure from river rocks to cook a trout, and remember it working fairly well until the moisture in the large horizontal rock we used cracked due to the fire. Another slab like rock and we were back in business! Maybe the design will help you out too?? Take care, your mate - Dave
