I used to be a tour guide up there. The abandoned camp is in silvergull Creek. The couple that live there were wonderful who we used to go visit every trip, the would make a sell jewellery and other bits and bobs and also allow the guest for a swim in that pool. Absolutely beautiful place of the world. There's some amazing aboriginal art at raft point and also a wonderful view of the archipelago when your up there.

Wow! The people we bought the boat off had some funny stories about the old couple as well.
Watch the next ep we check out that art work, incredible.

About 15 years ago we followed a croc slide up croc creek that went over the boulders and through the long grass into the furthest water hole .We knew it was still up there because there was no slide out and the grass had been pushed down 2 feet wide towards upstream. So remember that for next time that they can get up into those holes as well.

I used to manage a game farm in South Africa and one morning we found a crock in one of our waterholes which was 15 km from the nearest river where crocks were found. It must have climbed a 9 meter electrified game fence and travelled through the bush to get to the waterhole on its way to the Jozini dam in Northern Natal. They are amazing animals and very clever.

I’m absolutely loving this series. I likewise grew up watching Malcolm Douglas.
It might already be on the cards, but I’m hoping you do a bit of an after trip video and talk about the logistics. Be interesting to hear how you cooked, how much fresh water you took, what sorts of food you took, what went well and what didn’t, what you’d take next time, and how 6 people in 2 tinnies made do without a loo etc.
    Thanks for sharing your adventure

Great video, I love that you all think that the way you climbed up to the top pool meant that saltys wouldn't be there LOL. 🙈🙈.That spa was amazing, but the oyster faces were epic! Thanks for sharing the video, a ripper. Stay safe, have fun, enjoy life! 👌🍻👍

I worked on Koolan island for many years and on a high tide you can drive a boat into the pool , so always a chance of a crock

Amazing tidal currents and there is a crock always 👀 lurking somewhere up there . Stay frosty!

I wish I had a group of mates that would be up for trips like this. I'm just stuck in Perth waiting for the day to get out of the 9 to 5.
