I love what you said at the end there. I have curly hair and a small forehead and for years I never tried straight across bangs because I thought they wouldn't be right for my face shape. I'm so glad I eventually got over that, because I've found a style now that feels more like myself than I ever have!
I still wear low-rise jeans. Look at Cher. Wow, I really appreciate your channel you are extremely good at what you do you're an absolute master in your craft very nice yes I'm subscribed thanks Ellie😊 again thank you so much for all the information
Everything looked absolutely delicious & BEAUTIFUL 🎄❤️⭐️🤍 God’s blessings for good health, love, peace and happiness in 2024 & always. Love, Joy from Staten Island NY 😊
I love the warm brunette even a inbetween of warm brunette and cowboy copper is pretty. Also love the milk tea brown color from instagram. It's like a cool tone ahsy medium brown.
I always had long hair, then at about 18 I decided to cut it and when I did it was short like a short bob, no bangs. And I kept it died blonde from a box. This was in the 70's. I was born blonde then dishwater when I started coloring it. About 3 years later I started letting it grow again. I'm 67 now and I keep it medium length with face framing layers. So funny how traditions come back in style. Oh, and my husband told me years later he really didn't like my hair short...LOL. Didn't have the nerve to tell me while we were dating.😁
@kathystclair9485 I feel like we lived similar lives….add 3 husbands to equal 4 and its closer lol but I do NOT wish you that, ever!! My 1st Husband always wanted my hair “Like Dorothy Hammel” (spelling?) so I had that ‘bob’ but I called it a Tupperware bowl cut! Then #2 who Had to have my hair LONG LONG as LONG as possible which was fab however that marriage lasted far too short, RIP. He was a good man.💔 Then along comes #3 who said “I LOVE SHORT HAIR on women” and I cut it short into a cute pixie and as a Nurse Practitioner, loved that he loved it but I hated the look on me (I SHOULD have KNOWN when I met his mom. She has SHORT pixie Hair to this day and I LOVE the woman with all my heart but once a mommy’s boy, always a mommy’s Boy. RED FLAG.) then along came my Final GIFT from G-d and not a day goes by that I do not thank Him for my Husband. 23 years and I would take a bullet for this man. I had hair almost to my waist, long red (I’m a Ginger, By blood not box as we say LOL) hair and he would brush it when our shifts worked that we actually saw each other (which I think may be the secret to a HAPPY 23 year marriage?Hmmm?) and then, …. I became ill and was what we call “On the OTHER side of the Stethoscope”….. I lost all of my beautiful long red hair that even as a child when it was past my waist, my Grandfather who had hands so large that as an adult, MY adult hand FIT IN side the PALM of his hand when he opened it as if to ‘high five’ to give a visual. He raised and bred Clydesdale Horses and his hands were HUGE and he was an incredibly large man, not overweight, he was 6’ 6” and 250, solid. He would plait my hair in alllllllll of these beautiful styles that we have seen over the years where girls have done the ‘Fishtail” etc, THAT would have been “childs play” to him. My plaits were up to 6-8 across. He had a Grade 3 education and he was one of the most brilliant and caring souls I have ever met to this day. When he passed, I never braided my hair again. Ponytail, sure, braid, NO. Still won’t. When I finished treatment and my hair started to come back, by the Grace of G-d, 🙏🏻….. it grew in (not sure if you can see my photo?) PLATINUM WHITE, and I mean ZERO PIGMENT as I have heard from every Hairstylist since it grew back in. I have had it down to the middle of my back but have been keeping it just past my shoulders with some layers but the LOB was great for ME, as I kept a long Lob so that I could still wear a Ponytail for work but it was what someone called a ‘Slide”…Elle? Where it is quite short at the back and then looooooong at the front but I could pull it back to make a ponytail and it has stayed Platinum (Yes Elle, I listen, purple shampoo and some blue every now and then to keep it shining like a beacon) up until me watching this and I have NEVER wanted to go and get some BLONDE high/low lights put in more than I do now!!! Elle, my husband is not going to be happy with my new Hairstylist invoices LOL!!! I have been approached on the street about my “New” hair color so many times since “Platinum” became the IT color and a Lady actually said to me “Excuse me but may I ask who does your hair because I am paying $300 every month for my Daughter to have her hair look like your color but it is not nearly as beautiful! Please tell me WHO does your hair color!”……and me being someone that doesn’t THINK BEFORE she SPEAKS…..er hem….. and being a Nurse for almost 3 decades has given me a bit of a twisted and dark sense of humor……so…. My response without thinking was quick and short.. “G-d”. Then the longest pregnant pause I have ever had and I was thinking “OH TOVAH, KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE! OOPS” and the lady finally looks at me after digging in her purse and says “I don’t know that name, can you write that down for me?”……..Oy Vey…..🤣🤣🤣…… I just walked away……I couldn’t even speak because I was laughing SILENTLY so hard and I was so gobsmacked!!!! That was only about a year ago and that photo is about a year old as well and getting closer and closer to 60 (57) I feel somehow that we have been forced to cut our hair ‘short’ when we get to a certain age of retirement, whatever that is for a person, as that is just what you do. Ummmm no. Thanks but no. So, Elle, if you wouldn’t mind thinking about a request…and I KNOW you have spoken about this before but…….how about some styles and colors for those that are 60+ or - a few as it is REALLY HARD to know what to do. I have this Platinum WHITE hair that my husband is continually teased about by his (Retired) Cop Colleagues that they are going to tell his wife about his new Girlfriend because they think he is dating a “little Blonde” behind my back (not many have seen me since I have started to become healthy again. I am a bit of an agoraphobe and prefer my Dog and Husband and 3 BFF’s to anyone else TBH) thinking that they are super funny. Then OTHER TIMES when I have NOT done the Purple/Blue shampoo toner trick to give it a POP back to sparkling PLATINUM and it is a bit dull but not ‘yellow/orange’ just dull, I feel like I look OLDER and haggard. I KNOW I am not and not having wrinkles (thank you Mommy for my genetics) everywhere or having short hair or dressing like I am 80 (which most of THEIR WIVES LOOK LIKE) I am not FIGHTING getting older, I just believe I do NOT have to CONFORM nor LOOK my age. I do not do filler (THAT IS AN ENTIRE NOVEL OF WHY NOT as there is a study in Australia about filler NOT dissipating but rather it is migrating in the skull into any crevice that it can find so until that is done, NOPE) and yes, Botox is fine as I get it for my Migraines so why NOT stave off the dreaded “11”‘S and furrowed brow but not the ‘crows feet’ as my husband says that “Laugh lines are beautiful and they show how happy you are so please do not make them disappear.”…….how do you say NO to that and yes to pure ego? I love him far more than my own ego. That being said, I do not want to continue being this ONE COLOR or NON-color without depth or dimension….so as much as some women are paying to have what I was gifted (I kinda feel like i earned that one, sorry, but I do. And yes i said SORRY so I am BUSTED….I am 🇨🇦LOL!) in pure Platinum White Hair which is also Genetic on both sides so it was inevitable but when I became ill (I will NOT say that word to give it ANY power, just FYI) and it started coming back I was thrilled that it was coming back at all because it doesn’t always for everyone. Blessed, absolutely. I am not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth as they say but I would LOVE some ideas and thoughts on what does an ALMSOT 60 year old do for cut and color that does not want to give in to peer or social pressure on what society thinks a 60 year old SHOULD look like. This is NOT my Grandmother or my Mothers era. There is NO reason to look or dress old and frumpy. I do not wear makeup often and that is a Nurse thing, I do wear lashes though as those were not quite so blessed LOL, and my brows are Microbladed which again ANOTHER challenge for Platinum hair. Elle, please help. I look for ideas and while I trust my Stylist, she is young (in her late 20’s young) but experienced as she has had her license since she was 16 so she is talented! However, life experience brings so much to the table and ELLE, YOU HAVE THAT as well as GREAT TASTE in your own fashion sense AND knowing what works on others. I would normally say “I’ll owe you a kidney, please help!” But then I would have none LOL sooooo, anything I have 2 of that are HEALTHY, and I am willing to part with, is yours!!! (Go for the PRADA, not the LUNGS!) I would just LOVE YOUR INSIGHT as I have been following you since before “it” hit the world with a Sledgehammer. Girl, YOU have what I would call “IT”. Call it a gift, call it being blessed with great fashion sense, don’t care what name or title but YOU HAVE “IT” so when you can, you go to the best….I am asking. I do not plan on anymore husbands nor do plan on ALLOWING MYSELF to listen to a man tell me how to cut my hair EVER again. I WILL listen to YOU however. Thanks for all you do for us Elle. Truly. I appreciate YOU. All of the work it takes to put your vids together and how much WORK you have done over the years to build this following (I CAN NOT WAIT FOR YOU TO HIT THE MILLION MARK and trust me when I tell you that I recc’d your Channel ALL THE TIME!!! Even though I am more of a ‘homebody’ now I am still talking on the phone or on SM a bit so I will go and share this vid to my X acct as well. YOU DESERVE THAT MILLION because you DO have something to say and teach as well as listen to your followers. Not manyYT peeps do. They just throw their vid up and on to the next one. You actually pay attention to what people say.) There is my Novella for the day!❤ Thank you for sharing your story Kathy❤and yes, it all does come around….think about all those clothes that are back in style and if we only kept them!!! (Of course I am not quite confident that they would FIT but maybe 🤷🏼♀️🙏🏻LOL!). Be well Ladies and stay HEALTHY and I wish you ALL HEALTH, HAPPINESS and PROSPERITY (in whatever that word means to you!) and may 2024 be YOUR BEST YEAR YET and only go UP FROM THERE!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Tovah
We had it custom made on etsy. We order s simillar one from RH and it was so yellow we retuned it and got this one for a fraction of the cost for a much more unique piece.
LOVE all your videos! I now layer my own long locks after watching your video. WHY is link to ‘your Hair care line’ not working?? I really want check this out & buy! 🤗
Same. I had really blonde hair and now I cut it long bob and colored it my natural color and hopefully it will grow healthy. My natural hair just looks the best on me
It’s been awhile since I saw your channel and your hair. I LOVE your dark roots and what I thought was short piecey layered look before you pulled it out of the jacket. Still it looks good long but I thought shorter was so youthful❤
It irks me how hair trends always repeat. I think once you reach a certain age you start to see the trend for the third round 😂 the space buns for example. My mother wore them I wore them and now gen Z is wearing them. It's like we're stick in the matrix. 'Ok now it's time to wear this!"
Oh Lord I need help. I have been with my hairdresser for over 13 years and I love her. I am naturally a very dark brunette. About 7 years ago, I said I wanted blonde highlights, the more blonde the better. What a complete ordeal we had ahead of us. My roots run hot and I mean brassy orange hot, while the rest of my hair lightened beautifually. In the meantime, I started wearing my hair naturally curly and she is not a cury hair specialist. Completely off point but, I am 53 and have alot of grey coming in. After years of trying different techniques (being lighter helps hide the greys) we ended up doing a bayalage with foils and doing the roots more of an ash blonde so it would help with the brassiness. I am beginning to think I just have the worst hair in the world. I have literally sat in her chair for 6 hours and her look at me and say she wasn't happy with the way it turned out and she wanted me to come back in a couple days to rebleach. She is very good to me as far as charging. I walk out paying $150 at the most and she owns the only full service salon on the Syracuse University campus. Her normal price for a bayalage is $250 and that does not include cutting or anything. But she always says she gives me the family duscount. She is in her mid 30's and she has an excellent clientele. I don't doubt for one second that she isn't as knowledgeable as possible. Every woman who works there tells me they have never experienced hair like mine. It is fairly course, high porosity. I just feel there has to be something to fix this problem. I, myself, went to cosmetology school when I was in high school, but things were much different back then, which seems like a hundred years ago. 😢Highlights, lowlights and babylights weren't even taught. It was all about coloring, perming, finger waves, pin curls etc. I have even tried 2 different hairdressers, only to find worse results and even more orange roots. I use purple shampoos and blue shampoos and have spent a holy fortune on products. I have no problem dropping $100 on a shamoo, conditioner and hair mask. She has suggested a keratin treatment because of my frizziness but knows I've worked hard to enhance my natural curls. Even when I try to do a blowout, it will never blowout straight. It will always be frizzy. I keep up on my trims, she does beautiful job on my trims and ghost layering and these hot roots are literally making me insane and I think they're making her a little insane too. You are so incredibly talented. I have searched and have found you to be incredibly beyond knowledgeable when it comes to coloring, highlighting, etc, I thought maybe you would have some suggestions as to how I can keep my hair lighter and avoid this horrible orange brassiness that has overtaken my life. If I were to go back to my natural color, I would literally have to get my roots done every 3 to 4 weeks because the gray is coming so fast. I just lost my husband 4 months ago and that is just not in my budget right now. Right now what we're doing, is working, although I still do see some orange and I would like it to be a bit lighter. Please, do you have any advice that I can give her? I just want to be happy with my hair again. It has been a very difficult last 6 months or so again and I just want to look at myself in the mirror and feel pretty again.
Anyone out there have extremely fine, oily, thin hair and have a bob? My hair is long right now and just don’t feel it suits me anymore. It keeps getting thinner, Yet I’m afraid if I chop it will literally look the same but shorter. I’m 44 if that matters😂
Typically, a shorter cut with blunt ends will make your hair look as thick as possible. Mousse is probably the best styling product if it greasy easily 😊
I love what you said at the end there. I have curly hair and a small forehead and for years I never tried straight across bangs because I thought they wouldn't be right for my face shape. … Any ideas for aging dark blonde hair with 50% greys on the top of the head? Keep it as natural with fine blonde highlights? …
@lindsaysmith2401 … Thank you. I much appreciate your answer. Advice always welcome …
Would you mind sharing where your olive tree in the ceramic planter is from? 💛
In with the Bob out with extensions, especially human hair extensions 😍
Amen.
I love your blouse! Where is it from?

Sounds great, Stay tuned, Thank you
Hi i love your hair colour what colours do u use ? Love your videos watched it from 2020
Off topic can you please tell me where you got the table in the background? Im looking for something like it
We had it custom made on etsy. We order s simillar one from RH and it was so yellow we retuned it and got this one for a fraction of the cost for a much more unique piece.
wow insane right??? Awesome! I'm going to take a look at ETSY. Thank you so much love
Your hair is so beautiful Just as it is now? Just curious do you have extensions in or is that your own hair? 😊
Catching up on your videos ❤ I always feel like when I cut my hair short it makes my face look fat😢 any advice on short haircuts that slim the face?
Love your hair color
Still love extensions however I love all the styles that are out now!!!
Oh lol I share an email with my husband, Yvette
How funny, I went an all over buttery lightest blonde last year and have been loving it so much
High maintenance but worth it
buttery blonde will forever be in, in my mind. Congrats on loving your hair!
LOVE all your videos! I now layer my own long locks after watching your video. WHY is link to ‘your Hair care line’ not working?? I really want check this out & buy! 🤗
My haircare line has not yet launched. The link not working is to my colab shampoo + cond creation with Aura. Unfortunately they are all sold out.
I’ve been trying to grow out my natural color for the last year. I just want my God given hair no trends
Yes! You cannot duplicate the luster, softness, and shine your natural hair color has.
Same. I had really blonde hair and now I cut it long bob and colored it my natural color and hopefully it will grow healthy. My natural hair just looks the best on me
Absolutely
The link to your new hair care doesn’t work.
It’s been awhile since I saw your channel and your hair. I LOVE your dark roots and what I thought was short piecey layered look before you pulled it out of the jacket. Still it looks good long but I thought shorter was so youthful❤
Platinum blonde is so hard to maintain I tried and failed tragicly 😂😂 so is no for me
It irks me how hair trends always repeat.
Just go natural
Anyone out there have extremely fine, oily, thin hair and have a bob? My hair is long right now and just don’t feel it suits me anymore. It keeps getting thinner, Yet I’m afraid if I chop it will literally look the same but shorter. I’m 44 if that matters😂
Typically, a shorter cut with blunt ends will make your hair look as thick as possible. Mousse is probably the best styling product if it greasy easily 😊
@@deathbatgirlxxx thanks! I’m sure that’s probably the direction I need to go in. Agh, worst hair type combo ever! Thanks again☺
Looks sooooo boring your background and your colors and your make upp all grey and beige 😂😂
