Roxana Briban-singing "Non so le tetre immagini" from Verdi's Il Corsaro

This is a stunning rendition of Medora's aria "Non so le tetre immagini" from Verdi's Il Corsaro, with the great Romanian soprano Roxana Briban recorded in 2001 at Hariclea Darclee Festival in Braila, when she received the great prize. Roxana was one of the most beautiful voices ever, with an unique and distinctive timbre.She tragically past away last year.This aria is dedicated to her memory and it is one the most beautiful interpretations that she gave in her short but intense career.May she rest in peace!!!

Cамо совершенство. Внизу голос по-тембру похож на Каллас, верх прозрачен и чист как у Монтсеррат Кабалье. Певица обладает не только красивейшим голосом, но вкусом и мастерством в его высшем понимании. В Травиате ее исполнение партии Виолетты поражает великолепной техникой, искренностью и внутренней силой! Брава! Спасибо!

Her abilities to sing amazing pianissimi at the beginning of her career were absolutely stunning. I red that she decided to suicide after loosing her gifted voice. That´s so sad. May she really rest in peace.

+Radu R This is incontrovertible true. Nobody knows what really happens- i just red the newspapers after that sad announcement with this representation. I was really concerned, that this voice and the lovely person behind it decided to took this final cut. All my respect and dolefulness to Roxana Briban. Believe me, please.
