I Think that God is so unimaginably awesome that he uses both, free will and predestination. That is something that us humans, or myself at least, cannot wrap our heads around. Why would God be limited to just one? He wouldn't.
In a sense, some events are predestined to happen (the crucifixion) but the means to arriving there, and the players involved, are open. If Judas didn’t betray Christ, somebody else would’ve. But we don’t live in a world of hypotheticals, only truth. God’s will always wins.
Very good point. He is GOD and He is THE BOSS of the Universe. That makes Him the only one SOVEREIGN over everything. HE CAN DO whatever He wants to do, BUT HE puts limits on Himself by His very Character, I.E. the TEN COMMANDMENTS are made by HIM for us. He Follows His Ten Commandments perfectly, we do not, even though we are commanded to follow the Ten Commandments 100% all the time, we are not GOD, we cannot, BUT through Christ, He does it for us and we TRY to follow His lead in DOING what He says is Good, the Ten Commandments. So bottom line God is Sovereign and we should never be surprised what He has the authority to do Himself. But one can always be sure whatever God does, it IS 100% CORRECT.
@@BaerBerian No, it's explicitly the events according to God's will, Acts 4:28. If the means were predetermined, God would be author of sin, because he would've predetermined their desire to rebel against him.
If Adam and Eve had no free will, why give them a choice? We would be robots without free will. God wants a relationship, a partnership. For us to be part of his unfolding plan by making right choices. If we make wrong choices, he can make good from evil as well. But ultimately I believe we have the free will to choose and God (although He has foreknowledge of our choice) will allow us to make the choice and then work with the choice we’ve made.
That is a good point but the robot idea cannot use to explain our free will. As humans, we only can control robots. Does that mean God also does the same? If we look at how the bible was written, we know it was written by humans who can feel, think, and decide. Yet the whole scripture is God inspired. Which means God does not control robots, He controls very conscious minds.
He actually articulates the issue very well. He explains the intellectual dilemma and simplifies it into two camps. It is predestination vs free will. I then like how he emphasizes the significance of those two options. He acknowledges that one side is arguing that, "hey , if the plan involves someone betraying Jesus....Did they really have a choice?" I give him credit for approaching the problem correctly. But, like most, he has no answer to the Judas criticism. Basically, everyone I've asked about this says the same thing...."oh Judas had a choice, and if he didn't choose to betray Jesus God would've found another way" Maybe God would have found another way, But if that way involves another human being he created and who is supposed to have free will then I will still be skeptical. It's a tough question, and I'm not looking for a definitive answer, but you explained the two camps very well then just started preaching at the end when it came time to give a real opinion.
Or god does need to use a person he can willingly present himself in a place where the seduces and fresecies are and then the crucifixion will take place excuse my spelling
Just because it was predestined it doesn’t mean that he didn’t have a choice that was just the choice God knew he would make from the beginning. God didn’t make him betray Jesus he just knew he would be the one who did it. Just like God created Adam and Eve and knew way before he made them that they were going to eat the fruit from the tree but he didn’t make them do it. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. James 1:13
@@reginaldperry360 Adam and Eve is different. They had true free will. Eve was hungry and fucked up lol, But after sin enters the world, there has to be a predetermined scapegoat to resolve it.
Judas didn't need to betray Jesus; all he did was identify Him in the poor light. Peter denying Jesus is similar, but more understandable, as he was in danger. On the issue of free will, I live as though I do have free will. That may not be true, but it is the only way to be a useful member of the community, the very thing that determinist Americans abhor.
Both thoughts are correct. God knew from the beginning Judas final decision. God is perfect, and he makes sure everything is in order and in place to bring his word to fulfillment.
I think that’s the point of his video. It’s highly debatable and no one really knows the answer. You just have to search your heart and decide what you think is true. I do however, think he leans more on the Dr Pepper end. 😁
I'll answer it for you. We don't have free will. Example--- When Jesus told Peter that he was going to deny him and Peter decided not to deny him (free will), that would have made Jesus wrong/liar. So Peter had no choice in the mater (no free will).
God is all powerful, all present, all knowing, and all loving. My God would never be all loving and still violate my free will. But He would be all powerful enough to accomplish His sovereign will in spite of my choices. His will is still perfect. I feel like that is why predetermination and predestination arise when studying the Gospel. How can you observe His perfect will unfold from the beginning and not believe His hand was in it all the way? He always knew the present, past, and future and how He would accomplish it. But even from the Garden, we see God’s relationship with humanity unfolding through His gift of grace and choice: He allowed Adam and Eve to make the wrong choice of sin and temptation, knowing in the end he would reconcile humanity to Him again through Christ. The fact is both free will and predestination exist in the overlapping of humanity and earth and God’s kingdom. Humans have free will , but their will can never overcome His perfect will. Your choices will affect you personally, but they can never stop the Kingdom of Heaven or His will unfolding through it.
I believe this is it too. There's free will, there's choice. But our free will and choice will never overcome God's purpose because He has endless ways of making His purpose stand firm so it ends up looking like He forced it on us but He doesn't force us.

The most important question over all this conversation is: Who do YOU say Jesus Christ is? The answer you must give to that question for yourself will determine your eternal destination...forever.
So what about Open Theism? It’s the idea that God knows everything in the present and past, but he doesn’t know the future because we haven’t chose anything yet.
I simply understand that in order to follow God's plan of life which he knows as to what is going to happen which is all good as said in the scriptures we have to obey him using our free will wisely.... that's how u find ur purpose in life...or else we use our free will wrongly under the influence to the seven deadly sins and deviate our path getting lost from God's plan of our life.
we can see the difference between Judas and Peter, they both betrayed Jesus in a way, but the difference between them is this, Jesus prayed for Peter and not for Judas. Another example is Jonah, when God called Jonah to go to Ninive Jonah disobey God but still in the end what God has planned, that came to happen.
Correct, so the question is, ¿why didn't Jesus pray for Judas too? As James 4:17 says, "The man who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't, that man sins." So, ¿why didn't he pray for Judas? I do, for my unsaved family and friends (and even enemies). Jesus didn't pray for Judas because he and his Father hadn't chosen him unto salvation and so there was no point doing so. In fact, it would have been contradictory to do so. As well, quite clearly, Jesus chose Judas knowing he would betray him and so he chose him for the purpose of betraying him. And yet, Judas had a choice, as Paul says in Romans: "Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?” But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? ...I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”
I believe Judas had a choice and he made the conscious choice to betray our Lord and Saviour, Jesus. God gives us all free will and Judas knew what he was doing, but simply allowed his own wickedness (sin) to overcome him. @@jonathanwhiteside816

Jesus prayed for Peter since Peter had faith and Jesus wanted Peter to stay strong in his faith (Luke 22:31-32). Judas clearly had made money his God and thus his faith was dead by the time of the crucifixion thus there is no prayer of the strengthening of faith that can be made. Judas wanted money and power. That’s why he followed Jesus from the beginning since he thought Jesus would overthrow the Roman government, set up a kingdom on earth where Judas would be one of the highest officials in the whole land. Judas wanted power, he had no change of heart. This is clear to see by the way Judas behaved. He wanted to collect money for the poor but really and truly, he was a thief and a man wanting to betray Jesus in times before the crucifixion (John 12:4-6). If Judas chose another destiny (highly unlikely since he had premeditated betraying Jesus for a good while), Jesus would still be crucified since we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and dark forces. Perhaps it's like a maze with multiple paths but only one exit. God knows the exit but gives us the free will to choose the path to get there. God would have changed the way the passion was carried out had Judas not betrayed Jesus. God knows the end, but allows us to choose the path.
God chose Moses, Jonah, David, and others. But God does not always chose who will be your life partner (spouse). If God asks you to go visit a person and you do not go and that person happens to die, did God force you to not go visit?
I definitely believe the same as the Dr Pepper can. We have free will, yes God knows what we will eventually do and what will happen but I do not believe he predetermined it. Loook at the story of Saul and David, Saul disobeyed the Lord and was replaced by David. Also, I do not want to believer that God can predestine someone to go against Him.

I believe every single person on earth has given by God the free will, and this is what differentiates us from robots. In terms of Judas, did he has a choice? I think yes, he had an oppurtunity to betray Jesus, or not to betray Him. And in fact, the bible tells us that Judas betrayed Jesus. But, even if Judas chose to not betraying Jesus, the Salvation through Jesus' crucifixion would still happen, but in different scenario (person). Because the most point of this is, the salvation that Jesus brought through crucifixion must happen, with or without Judas.
yes, judas could have chosen not to betray our lord. but even if he chose to betray our lord, all judas had to do was repent like peter and paul did and he would not be damned. you asked about being called by god. the holy writings clearly said he called many but only chose a few. so, he has not pre-destined anyone's life (except jesus who agreed to do the only thing that needed to be done to repair our broken relationship with god). because of his omnipotence, he certainly can direct events to accomplish his will to bring good to all. but we still have the choice to align or not with his will.
No he had no choice period Judas or Peter God knew they would betray him God knows everything before they were born this was set up unfair it is the bible really makes no sense
If everything Jesus said was 100% true and everything he said came true, then it's not free will. If we have free will and when Jesus told Peter he would deny him and if Peter didn't, then what Jesus said would not have come true making Jesus wrong.
@@Blueknight1960 But some of you do not believe me.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning which ones didn’t believe, and he knew who would betray him.) John 6:64
Jesus did not predetermine but as God's nature of being all knowing, He just know things to happen but the result depends basically on human freewill. God's nature being all knowing and human freewill are two factors that shouldn't mislead us. If Judas did not betray Jesus it could be somebody else. Thus, the story of the life of Jesus with His apostles truly reflects the fact of life.
Judas had a choice, but he had a tendency. He loved money more than Immanuel. He was sorry after when he knew he was wrong. He didn't even want to keep the money. He was a friend who slipped up in a bad way. The father knew he had this tendency. I think the father is omniscient, but the son isn't. The father set up the situation. You can try to resist, but your tendencies push you in one way or another. We can choose this or that, but our nature determines the outcome. We are at the mercy of our own characters which we didn't create either.
Predestination is a biblical doctrine and it's not even a matter of argument. The life of prophet Jonah confirms the doctrine of predestination. Even though prophet Jonah didn't want to do what God had predestined him to do, God orchestrated circumstances to bring him back into his will. We are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works prepared in advance. Nothing; no one can stop us from fulfilling the good works God has predestined us to accomplish. No one not even ourselves. Predestination doesn't cancel free will. But free will is subject to predestination. At the end you can only chose what is compliant to what God has predestined you to accomplish.
I think God has created the space and time. He is above time itself. Therefore it is possible for him to not only predict the future, but He can already see the future. We can't see the future, so we tend to think the future has endless possibilities that depend on our choices. However, the truth is that there's only one true future, only one truth that will happen, that includes all the true acts of our free will that have and are yet to be made. God doesn't interfere with our free will, but He can reveal the facts about the one true future to us by prophecies. Jesus knew all the time that Judas would betray him in the end, regardless of his choice to not do it. God being all-knowing and us having free will do not contradict each other.
That was an excellent discussion well done sir! But firstly I must say typical Coke LOL in fact I was praying about this very thing this morning about Judas and if he had the choice to repent actually. Now I know that God is a just God so I must take the side I think, of the Dr Pepper club except I really don’t like that soft drink😂. I guess in another way we can look at it and this keeps coming to my mind when I do ask Scott about it is when sorry God that should’ve said I’m using my mic so excuse any type of typos I remembered that the Lord hardened pharaoh heart with Moses. Now, was given the free will to change his mind and the only reason I asked this is because the Bible is clear that pharaoh heart was hardened by the Lord and I am not by any means saying that the Lord is unfair. I love him with all my heart but it does present with an question. Whilst the Lord certainly has given us a free will what about characters like Pharaoh? You would’ve thought that his heart would’ve softened after the death of his son but no his heart remained hard because he came after Moses and the Israelites. So we know his heart remained hard until his death so it does now remain confusing. You do seem to know what you’re talking about so I’d like to ask a question on a separate topic. If I may I will put it after this one.
The betrayal of Christ by Judas was a fulfillment of O.T. prophecy (Psalm 41:9). Judas was not among those given by the Father for Christ to save (John 6:37). Instead, God chose him for justice and not for mercy.. The end result was that Christ redeemed all who were in the Everlasting Covenant of Grace (Heb. 13:20).
But Jesus was sent down on earth to come and die for our sins. The question is, was his way of death predetermined? Or any kind of death would have sufficed? Even a natural death. And if Judas did not betray Jesus, how or who was going to make it happen?

You see, in John 17:12 Gospel, John did not "directly" pinpoint to Judas Iscariot, ... why John did not directly say his name?... it reads (in part/paraphrased)... "I guarded/kept THEM, and none were lost except for the one, the Son of Perdition."... who are they?... "THEM" perhaps, did not "directly" pertains to the 12 Apostles only, perhaps Blessed Mary, Mary Magdalene, and others were also included as the one given to Him (Christ Jesus) by His Father?... The Bible also said that Christians (those who believe in Christ) are also given by God to Christ Jesus's Hands to KEPT/GUARD... When did Christ say those words (John 17:12),... "Before or After," Judas Iscariot killed himself? Actually, it was said BEFORE at the Last Supper... therefore, this means Judas Isacariot was already BOUND/PREDESTINED to do his Role/Part UNKNOWINGLY so that the Scripture might be fulfilled... in fact, Satan took control of Judas (possessed/went inside the body) according to the Bible, if he was already so Evil as a thief, why the need to possess his body?... does not make any sense at all... Evil possessing Evil?... Satan will give POWERS to the coming AntiChrist, but not to possess the AntiChrist because he is already Evil as a person... Logically, if the King already owned the land, the King does not need to conquer those lands, he just needs the POWER to rule the land... the same analogy... So in other words, "IT WAS ALL PLANNED OUT," even before Judas Iscariot was born... Christ Jesus MUST die for the Sin of Mankind (ransom) and somebody must take the role/part of BETRAYING Christ to fulfill the scripture, either Judas or somebody else... there must be a FALL GUY, so to speak so that the Scripture will be fulfilled... simple as that... unfortunately, it landed "UNKNOWINGLY" to Judas Iscariot, the Betrayal Role/Part... if not Judas, someone else will take his part/role... but the same scenarios or outcome... Since God is a FAIR GOD, Judas Iscariot might not be condemned by God in the Fires of Hell... I firmly believed Judas might be pardoned by God... why?... 1st, Judas Iscariot was "BOUND and PREDESTINED" to Betray Christ Jesus even before he was born. (John 17:12) 2nd, Judas Iscariot, unknowingly betrayed Christ for he was possessed by Satan "BEFORE" he betrayed Christ and sold for 30 pieces of silver. 3rd, after Satan left his body, Judas felt terrible REMORSE (part of repentance) and TRAUMA, which may cause temporary INSANITY that lead to taking his own life (suicide). Lastly, One of God's WILL, is that ALL (Human beings) might be Saved... Amen.
I wonder if it made God sad to have to make Judas knowing he was purely predestined to be the fall guy… wasn’t God sad for his soul…. I wished he could’ve been forgiven ❤😢
Judas could had been forgiven but he chose to hang himself instead of asking for forgiveness. He saw first hand all the miracles Christ did and also heard Christ say that anyone can be forgiven so he knew he could had been forgiven by God but despair overcame him. It’s a tragic tale of forsaking God’s mercy because of desperate feelings. No matter how we feel, we should seek God’s forgiveness if we regret something. Regretting is the first step, repentance is the second.
Jesus chose Judas to do it. I think he asked him to do it. If Judas did it for money, why kill himself. Moreover, Judas would most likely not have been executed with the other disciples. In addition, he would be protected and living large. He is God, it was planned out and fulfilled before Jesus came to earth.

If Judas would not "betray" Jesus (Christ) then we would not question religion and sort stuff that is valid from stuff that is not valid. It was part of 'plan'. 🙄 3:15 Tree of knowledge of Good AND Evil. Both sides need to be properly understood. Therefore it makes sense. 😐 5:35 "God moves in mysterious ways" does not contradict "word of God never changes". 😉
3:35 you said God knows that Adam and Eve would eat the fruit but they still had a free choice, at the end they eat the fruit because God is 100% correct, if they did not eat the fruit because you said they still had a free choice then God is wrong, and God is never wrong, so at the end Adam and Eve really had no free choice
For me Judas was just the vessel for satan to accomplish the betrayal. He was possesed as satan entered into Him. If Judas was bad he woudnt be needing satan to do the betrayal. Thats His purpose to be the vessel for Satan to accomplish the prophecy.
if god has an end goal for each of us and that is unchangeable, he is going to get us there regardless of the path/choices we take, then free will is not really there.

as christians we surrender our lives to jesus and then it’s his will and it will be written your name in the book of the living (predestined to live) but you could’ve decided not to follow jesus and you have free will and try to save yourself and get to heaven by merit or go to hell as there are only 2 roads to take.
The pot was already boiling. They did not need judas. They would have made the confrontation anyways Thay just thanked him for the intel, stuck out a bag of coins and the rest is history. Judas heeled and cast out demons in the Lord's name.
See God knows all possibilities…. Perhaps in the multitudinous, infinite choices Judas made based on his upbringing, his nature, his proclivity towards sin, whatever the only conclusion was that Judas would betray the Lord. The math is astronomical but it is possible that the Lord knew that no matter the end conclusion would be that Judas would betray the Lord BUT his decisions after that were not as set in stone. In other words he could have repented and stayed one the main 12 apostles of the Lamb. So it is is not predestination but free choice but the math produced only one choice. He still exercised his free will and God did not violate his free will. He chose to betray Jesus and to hang himself independent of God making him to do those things.
Of course Judas could have done different but he was overpowered by greed just like the rich young ruler they chose not to follow Christ even when Christ called to them
Judas and Peter were my brothers. I wouldnt want them to be vessels of sacrifice t9 fullfill proficies. But then again, Its God's will. I believe we were maid to believe that we have free will. Time is just a concept humans made. We are playing roles according to ehat and when it happens. Just live like life being kind to you your brothers and sisters if you can. You are lucky if you can. some people are destined to be evil.
For me Judas was Designed to End like that, and he his Innocent and Noble man. I wonder the teachings which predicted Our Lord Jesus to be Born in Cattle Field that Joseph could have choices
Judas was a thief: John 12:3 Then Mary took about a pint[a] of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. 4 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, 5 “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.[b]” 6 He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.
Judas was called a devil by Jesus, so who put Judas in his place ? Jesus did !! So no he didn't have a choice because satan and his disciples (Judas) being one of them, have one mission on earth, and that's to kill steal and to destroy. And they are good at it.
Judas did have free will Jesus said when he broke the bread and gave it to Judas it was then Jesus knew Satan had fully entered Judas Heart' i think regardless if Judas was a loyal disciple Jesus still would of been captured by the Romans through the Farasees with or without Judas the Prophacy in the Tanakh Book of Issiah Chapter 53 profisises Jesus Sacrifies and speared for the sins of the world' so Judas did have free will but he chose not to be for Jesus but against him by betraying him.

Predestination must be true. Let's state for sake of argument that if God never created Satan then Adam and Eve would not have chosen to sin. God knows this, but He decided to create Satan (knowing this would lead to Adam and Eve sinning); therefore, God ultimately predestined Adam and Eve to choose to eat the fruit (through God's foreknowledge and creation of Satan).
@Anthony Klich A 6th-century monk created a calendar which revolves around Jesus Christ. I don't believe the fact that this calendar became popular is evidence that his God exists. Unless you suggest something else?
God didn’t create the devil to be like that, Satan made himself that way. Like if you plan to rob tomorrow you would become a thief , but you wasn’t created like that per say.. hope that make sense!
I think by saying he would eventually have been arrested is taking power away from God. I think God being all-knowing knew that he wouldn't repent and knew that he wouldn't change his mind therefore he was chosen for that purpose.
Nothing can take away Gods power because nothing can happen without God's permission. Judas chose to go through with the betrayal even after being warned by the scripture that "It would be better for him if he had not been born".
God gave Adam and Eve a choice. No where in the bible does it say that Judas was given a choice. He had to do what he was predestined to do, as Jesus said that scriptures would be fulfilled. ( John 17: 12 ) God said "I will have mercy on 5:50 whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion" Read Romans 9: 14-24. Do not deny God his power, for his thoughts are not our thoughts, neither our ways his ways Isa55:8-9
Judas Iscariot who betrayed King JESUS is THE PHANTOM STRANGER of JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK was FORGIVEN by King JESUS on the cross when He said Father forgive THEM for they don't know what they're doing Luke 23 34 but Judas Iscariot didn't forgive himself! Blessings and HUGS! 👑💜
According to the New Testament, Judas identifies Jesus to the Romans by kissing him. An ancient Egyptian text suggests he did this because Jesus was known to “shape-shift” which made him difficult to distinguish. when Judas turned Jesus over to authorities, it wasn’t in betrayal but in a bid to test whether or not the martyr could be the messiah to lead a radical group in a revolt against their foreign oppressors. But, what a mere muslim like me knows. Sorry for the long comment.
You are a liar. Do not mock God. If you continue to play around And not repent You will find out the hard way When you meet him at the end of your journey.

Listen with the examples u gave is different from what judas did the whole plan with Jesus need to be excuted and this is were Judas free will don't apply he was meant to do what he did
He basically gave you the answer already. God knows what’s going to happen but we make our own choices, that’s it. Let’s be respectful towards others with our words.
So Judas was vilified and became a hated "evil" individual because he was following God's plan. A bit hypocritical seeing that he was doing God's bidding. So therefore God is as cruel and as maniplative as the devil.
No, our God is good, our God isn’t wicked. We have our own free will but for those who seek God, HE will direct their paths. For those who chose to reject and despise God, they will face the consequences of their decisions.
You are a fool. You have no understanding of the gospel. Judas had Free Will and Saw All of the miracles of jesus and he still Betrayed God. He picked the world over God.
I've always thought judas and jesus were actually in on the same goal. The gospel of judas goes into that very well. Judas was actually one of the highest disciples
@@sas6384 Excellent reply.

Acts 4:27 says the means were predetermined.
That's crazy but interesting I suppose
Candi Apple We dont actually have a choice we have a ULTIMATUM!
That is a good point but the robot idea cannot use to explain our free will. As humans, we only can control robots. Does that mean God also does the same? If we look at how the bible was written, we know it was written by humans who can feel, think, and decide. Yet the whole scripture is God inspired. Which means God does not control robots, He controls very conscious minds.
so you would have your brothers do evil th8ngs to fullfull proficies instead of you.
I would rather be a spiritual robot without sin then a free will spirit with sin and sin time to time sin against God. ..
James 1:13

Judas didn't need to betray Jesus; all he did was identify Him in the poor light. Peter denying Jesus is similar, but more understandable, as he was in danger. On the issue of free will, I live as though I do have free will. That may not be true, but it is the only way to be a useful member of the community, the very thing that determinist Americans abhor.
Both thoughts are correct. God knew from the beginning Judas final decision. God is perfect, and he makes sure everything is in order and in place to bring his word to fulfillment.
Came for answer and all I can find is somebody asking me the same question I asked.. 😤
If i sinned, did the Lord pre-determined/decreed(before the foundation of the World) to sinned or i freely chose to commit sin?
So you are willing yo have your brothers or sisters fullfill proficies instead. how cruel.

Jesus told Judas to do what he will because Judas had determined in his heart already that that’s what he wanted to do. He was going to do it with or without Jesus telling him to do what he wills.

Instead, God chose
him for justice and not for mercy.. The end result was that Christ redeemed all who were in the Everlasting Covenant of Grace (Heb. 13:20).
But Jesus was sent down on earth to come and die for our sins. The question is, was his way of death predetermined? Or any kind of death would have sufficed? Even a natural death. And if Judas did not betray Jesus, how or who was going to make it happen?
someone would eventually have to take the fall, Judas just so happened to be full of sin, something else god put on the world.

God gives evil angels free will too within bounds of what they can or cannot do, Jesus would had been found out since God would not intervine in the angels doing so. The reason God doesn’t always intervine in them doing evil is the same reason God doesn’t always intervine in humans doing evil. God gives us agency but not so much that we’d destroy everything in our path. God gave Lucifer free will and Lucifer chose his pride over God. God is letting evil play out to the fullest so that in the future, no one in the universe wants to sin ever again since we’d all know the consequences of our actions. In heaven before Lucifer sinned, only God could see the full extent the rebellion would have thus eradicating Lucifer there and then would scare the naive angels into fear based communion with God and not love based communion. Based on how God is described in the bible, we know that he warned Lucifer and the angelic host of the consequences of sin yet Lucifer in his arrogance still chose his own way going as far as torturing and killing the son of God on the cross in order to get him to sin yet Jesus never sinned. Judas chose to betray Jesus, Judas chose to hang himself. If Judas chose another destiny, Jesus would still be crucified since we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and dark forces. Lucifer would find a way to kill Jesus because his arrogance was insanely high. It is clear to see that Lucifer couldn’t deter the high priest from killing Jesus since they had insane hatred for him and also have free will and thus he tried to torment Jesus and cause him to sin. It seems he didn’t fully understand the crucifixion since God keeps certain things mysterious (1 Cor 2:6-8). All the information of the importance of that day was not made clear till after Christ rose from the dead with humanity redeemed. In that case Lucifer fell into the trap and killed the son of God allowing God to redeem humanity.
Good analogy makes total sense. Btw im with Dr. Pepper
(John 17:12)
2nd, Judas Iscariot, unknowingly betrayed Christ for he was possessed by Satan "BEFORE" he betrayed Christ and sold for 30 pieces of silver.
Church leaders, John calvin? I thought peter, paul, Mark, James, Polycarp are church leaders?
Jesus chose Judas to do it. I think he asked him to do it. If Judas did it for money, why kill himself. Moreover, Judas would most likely not have been executed with the other disciples. In addition, he would be protected and living large. He is God, it was planned out and fulfilled before Jesus came to earth.
If it wasn’t Judas, someone else would identify Jesus. Jesus could had even identified himself or the evil angels could have had the men recognise him. Judas wasn’t necessary for the plan of salvation. Judas after seeing all the marvellous miracles Jesus performed still chose money over him. Judas after hearing Jesus say all can be forgiven still hung himself. It’s a tragic tale of a man whose ego was on a pedestal ultimately causing his demise. God’s will for Jesus to be crucified would occur with or without Judas. God gives evil angels free will too within bounds of what they can or cannot do, Jesus would had been found out since God would not intervine in the angels doing so. Judas chose to betray Jesus, Judas chose to hang himself. Judas felt horrible because he had blood money off of betraying an innocent man. Jesus told Judas to do what he will because Judas had determined in his heart already that that’s what he wanted to do. He was going to do it with or without Jesus telling him to do what he wills. If Judas chose another destiny, Jesus would still be crucified since we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and dark forces. Lucifer would find a way to kill Jesus because his arrogance was insanely high. I'm in the coke camp. If it wasn't Judas, it would've been another one of the 11. Judas was doomed from the start
I always wondering if Jesus have a pre determined future. Jesus crucifixion is his destiny
So that being said, Can Judas be forgiving?
u meant forgiven?

Decisions determine destiny. It’s still a choice God just knew what you would choose
Awesome. Thanks for not answering the question.
For me Judas was just the vessel for satan to accomplish the betrayal. He was possesed as satan entered into Him. If Judas was bad he woudnt be needing satan to do the betrayal. Thats His purpose to be the vessel for Satan to accomplish the prophecy.
Judas was a victim.
Judas was a patsy, the L H Oswald of the bible .
if god has an end goal for each of us and that is unchangeable, he is going to get us there regardless of the path/choices we take, then free will is not really there.

as christians we surrender our lives to jesus and then it’s his will and it will be written your name in the book of the living (predestined to live) but you could’ve decided not to follow jesus and you have free will and try to save yourself and get to heaven by merit or go to hell as there are only 2 roads to take.

Of course Judas could have done different but he was overpowered by greed just like the rich young ruler they chose not to follow Christ even when Christ called to them
did judas find salvation because he gave the money back annd was sorry for what he did, did GOD forgive judas
I'm pretty sure he had a choice
@@itiswednesdaymydudes4216 God already given Judas his fate even before he was born, he had no choice.
Judas was a thief:
John 12:3
Then Mary took about a pint[a] of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair.
Judas did have free will Jesus said when he broke the bread and gave it to Judas it was then Jesus knew Satan had fully entered Judas Heart' i think regardless if Judas was a loyal disciple Jesus still would of been captured by the Romans through the Farasees with or without Judas the Prophacy in the Tanakh Book of Issiah Chapter 53 profisises Jesus Sacrifies and speared for the sins of the world' so Judas did have free will but he chose not to be for Jesus but against him by betraying him.
did the rooster have free will? 🐓🐓🐓
Do we really have a choice not to steal something if we are a thief?

Yes he had a choice.
How when Jesus said he must be betrayed
He had no choice...God had planned his fate...l don't think Judas did any wrong
Please read the Noble Quran and learn a lot more about Jesus and Mary chapter 19
@Anthony Klich My belief or disbelief in the Christian God is irrelevant.
Judas had a choice. If he didn't betray Jesus, Jesus would still be arrested eventually.

Matthew 20.35 way did not repeat off sin
God gave Adam and Eve a choice.
No where in the bible does it say that Judas was given a choice. He had to do what he was predestined to do, as Jesus said that scriptures would be fulfilled. ( John 17: 12 )
God said "I will have mercy on 5:50 whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion"

Too many examples..i get it bro...
U wanna answer the question Orr???
He portrayed jesus because he knew he was a fake
No Judas had no choice period God already knew he would betray him
He was meant to betrayed him and Jesus knew Sooo I hope hes in heaven

THUMBS DOWN!!! Dont "answer" if you dont friggin know!
