Central Maryland here, love hitting the small local shops, especially Harford co, some great finds.
I can Bourbon hunt in my house though, found a big stash I put away 20+ years ago!
Including an early unopened Weller Antique 107, in the original short bottle with "Antiqued" label, been over 20 years since I saw that bottle. Probably a collectable now!
Looks like a super scotch section there!
Although more narration would work, I love seeing rows and rows of bottles. Might need to get to that shop this weekend.
I may open my 1999 rare breed, a recent home find!
Laubade armagnac is wonderful, not sure about that Bourbon though.
Well, cool video, thanks!
Thanks! I may have to hunt at your shop 😂
@@whiskeytiers I do tours of my 1920s phonograph room, the liquor room is right there, brandy, Bourbon, scotch, armagnac, German and Austrian spirits abound.
Where do you like in HarCo (if you don't mind sharing)?
Need more narration for this to be engaging
First try at one of these. Thanks for the feedback
Just WOW i grew up there, haven't been back in 40+ years. I remember when that bridge you drove over in the intro was built. We used to have to drive almost 3 hrs just to go to the grocery store that bridge cut the drive down to 40mins. Off to the Right where the Marina is, that's where I went to school, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church at the catholic school behind the church. I was also an alter boy at that church. I really want to go back and visit. Loved growing up there spent every day fishing and crabbing on the beach. Thank you for bringing back so many memories. As far as whiskey nice selection. Back in the day there was only one liquor store and that was down near Drum Point where we lived.
Wow small world! I know right where our lady star is. And these days that bridge is falling apart. They have been trying to get it replaced for years now
Would have went with the full proof Elijah Craig. Or the larceny single barrel. If I’m doing a finished product I stay with sherry or port. Just me but if I’m not sure what it is and can’t taste it it’s a not go. Gets costly. Enjoy!!
Port of Call is my local go to. He keeps a great selection.
They do have a good selection
Bourbon good price I buy if not no buy
If you're willing to travel some, I recommend making your way up to LAX in Beltsville. Very knowledgeable staff and very reasonable prices.
I’ll keep that in mind next time I’m up that way!
That store has a great selection! I wish they sold Bardstown up here in MA. I was able to grab a Fusion Series #7 when I was in FL and it is delicious.
Oh wow interesting. Bards is everywhere in this area
Bardstown discovery is what you want from bradstown👌
I love these hunting videos. Good stuff. I'm subscribing. By the way, that Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit for $60 is a fair price. It's basically their answer to Blanton's. That Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel for $70 is a tiny bit on the high side, but it isn't exactly sitting on the shelf here in Texas, so I'd probably bite on one if I saw it at that price.
Yeah unfortunately was disappointed in the Kentucky spirit myself. Going rare breed for a few dollars more is def with it IMO. Thanks for the sub! Got more of these vids in the works
Top 3 (for me) would have been the Bardstown Origins, the white label one for around $45, either one of the New Riffs (bourbon and rye are both outstanding) and the Knob Creek 12, which is one of the best values in bourbon you can find. The Laubade gets mixed reviews, but I’ve not tried it so I can’t comment. Most say it’s just not worth the price. But I probably would have grabbed 4 of those origins for the price of the one Laubade.
I almost went with that one actually. But then I said to myself hey Justin I think I would actually like to have less money for bills 😂
@@whiskeytiers I’m absolutely guilty of the same. Sometimes we need the pain to learn our lesson!
I totally agree with the origin series white label. Absolutely a top favorite of mine right now
That Corsair Oatrage though!
I really don’t know anything about that one. Good?
@@whiskeytiers coffee/chocolate/oats. It is very similar to New Riff Winter Whiskey if you’ve heard of that. I see there was only 1 left. Worth trying for under 90
I’ll have to keep that in mind
Bourbon taste the same way scotch whisky i find more Interesting
I like scotch too. I will do some eventually on the channel but bourbon still my main ❤️
