I really like Bomberger's and Shenk's from the Michter's line. While I find Michter's bourbon to be extremely overpriced, I would much rather have three bottles of Bomberger's than a single 10-year bourbon. However, I believe the Michter's rye line has the potential to be worth the price

The label is trying to copy the coat of arms of George Calvert. Is Sagamore distilling their own liquor yet? I’ve got bottle 0976 batch 6AG distilled in Indiana. It’s good. ✌️

Haha happened to me. Left my bomberger’s in my garage and the cap almost popped off but some juice was sacrificed. Luckily, I caught it before it completely spilled out.

My bottle has the exact same floors and % as yours, but bottled just one day earlier. I'm new to this hobby, but I agree with your assessment. Fairly smooth with some sweetness, plus the oak, especially on the nose. It could be a regular sipper for me. If you mean by viscosity a little thickness, I would agree with that too.

I've also heard great things about NB Co via Stuff and Whiskey's channel. Did not realize it's MGP, not that it's a bad thing. I assumed they were distilling as well. Thanks for the review!

If I’m not mistaken, Jacobs Pardon is predominantly American light whiskey. Batch 1 was over 80% MGP light whiskey. It’s been said batch 2 is not much different, although there is no MGP this time around, you’re probably not going to get those rich colors and the flavor will be much more mellow. They have a 18 year hazmat that drinks a lot smoother than it’s proof. But if you’re looking for a rich complex bourbon profile, this will not be your cup of tea. Didn’t know this myself before I dropped $$$ on the 18 year which is actually 100% MGP, not what I was expecting, but I enjoyed it even at the 147 proof. Not sure I’d like this one though if it’s lower proof and younger being that it seems to be mostly light whiskey

The HH grain to glass bourbon was probably rated the lowest in other taste comparisons I've seen. Haven't seen anyone say it was worth the price

Agree with your tasting. I got a little more dill. I think the little book chapter 8 is a much bigger rye bomb and enjoyed it better. The JD rye is also excellent

I totally disagree. This is my favorite daily sipper. Only the first shot seams a little watered the second shot thickens up nicely. I like it better than $60 bourbons. I drink it neat.
