- I've been wanting to get out and camp at Lake Cuyamaca Campground, but the truth is I left disappointed. The no wood fire rule and the additional $10 holding fee seem odd. Regardless of the reason, there are better options nearby that you should check out first.

That $10 fee is super weird. It's also such a bummer that so many "lakes" in San Diego are reservoirs. I just want to go float on my back and watch the sunset.

Having a campfire is one my favvoooritteee things about camping, so that is a major miss there. beautiful area though, that lake is fuller than what i'm used to seeing too!

Hi! I made a reservation at the west shore side, but I didn’t check the Lone Pine has more shade. Do you think I can change my reservation from west shore to lone pine? 😅
I would call them and ask or stop by when you get there, check-in and ask to switch. happy camping!
@@BeautyisWiild I called them already. They said can’t do anything since my reservation is a Thursday and usually it’s pack since it’s almost weekend 😢 but it’s okay. I guess we’ll just bring our canopy
