Idyllwild Campground Review and 4K video
Idyllwild Campground is situated in the town of Idyllwild, just a short walk from numerous shops and restaurants. It features amenities such as full hook-up and electric campsites, flush toilets, and coin-operated showers. The Idyllwild Ranger Station, which serves as the park headquarters, is conveniently located at the campground entrance.
Park fees must be paid upon entry. The campsite fee includes one vehicle, with an additional $10.00 fee for extra vehicles, up to a maximum of two vehicles per campsite. There is no extra charge for a vehicle that is towed in.
You'll find the Stone Creek Campground approximately 5 miles north of Idyllwild on Highway 243. While it does offer electric campsites, it lacks full hook-ups and provides a more rustic experience with vault toilets and no shower facilities.

I've been wanting to get out and camp at Lake Cuyamaca Campground, but the truth is I left disappointed. The no wood fire rule and the additional $10 holding fee seem odd. Yosemite is the ultimate playground, I love it so much. Might be backpacking there in June! Such a majestic place.
very jealous! it is an amazing place. thanks for watching : )
beautiful! love how it looks like it would take a while to get there but its really not far at all, im in Santee!
great option without driving too far for sure!
So cool how close you can get to these!
im glad they are a bit remote so the idiots don't get to them and tag them : P
Having a campfire is one my favvoooritteee things about camping, so that is a major miss there. beautiful area though, that lake is fuller than what i'm used to seeing too!
all the rain is paying off and totally agree. bonfire is a must. thanks for sharing : )
Make sure you check out my camping guide and review playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLsNoClMYukVUnS6gY-IFYjmnOukTocTAG.html
That $10 fee is super weird. It's also such a bummer that so many "lakes" in San Diego are reservoirs. I just want to go float on my back and watch the sunset.
totally agree with you haha! thanks for watching and commenting : )
Are they really strict with headcount per campsite? do they count the number of people in the car? I booked 4 campsites all in loop c but different areas.. we want to eat all together and hang out all together but go back to campsites when it’s time to sleep. Do they enforce the number of people per campsite religiously?
I can't speak for the rangers, but I doubt anyone will say anything especially if you booked different campsites. Have fun camping!
the music in this making me wanna vibe out in a smoke-filled lounge with dimmed lights 🥰 but ill take a hike with it too 😎
hahaha we should go on a hike soon!
Have you checked out the famous Slot in Anza Borrego? check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/vsxOS_pXHwc/v-deo.htmlsi=Ilg2VwWXjdlpaxT0
Makes me want to head up there!!
it's warming up, definitely time to go back!
Definitely enjoying it!
Same : )

Im down there all the time, down old san pascual road and hit the trails in the valley. If you dont like big crowds its an open space. Parking no issues at all and I use the parking on bandy canyon areas. Come down enjoy the trails, roads have some wine. Vlevenger trails are now on my list.
thanks for the comment! There are three trails I've covered in this area to check out! I'll have to look into Bandy canyon!

I did this in my younger and dumber days and developed a full-body poison oak rash two days later, so beware of that.
absolutely and thanks for calling that out! anything near water will have poison oak. I tend to wear pants on hikes for that reason. thanks again for sharing!
Hi! Thanks so much for all these videos, I just moved to San Diego and am enjoying exploring all the amazing hikes. Just wanted to clarify that all these $10 entry fees are for the state parks per day, not per hike if that makes sense? Like if I pay it once I can do multiple trails, or do you have to pay at each trail?
state parks cost is for all day use. To clarify, it isn't per hike but per day visit. Check out my hiking playlists here in social and happy hiking!
This is in Carlsbad?!??!
yes! haha its pretty cool
This is is a nature preserve and trail. They built the lake for the protected Wild life up here. I was so upset when we moved here, because we were told only 80 houses will be built and they built thousands. So it’s good they preserved some of the land. It’s a great hike come on out.
@@GSCannon thanks for your comment!
Thank you for always providing me with different trails to hike!
Just remember to take care of the trails when you're out there! happy hiking!
Brown as crap! 💩 No color.
Great video! It is actually not a county park though--it is owned and operated by Helix Water District.
Parking outside actually does not exempt you from purchasing a day pass as well--the free area to walk is from outside the park up to the campground and back. Once you enter the campground or the bait shop area, you must have a day use pass.
I really appreciate you taking the time to inform and for sharing! this will be helpful to anyone watching the trail guide - thanks again!
Great video
thank you!

Which tour company was this? How much?
company is linked in the description. prices have probably changed since i last filmed this - i would check out their site.
and what a view it was!!!
so beautiful!
The sand was so fine it was incredible!
we have to visit again next time!
Which site were you at??
5 or 7, one of those.... if i could choose, the opposite side looked nicer and provide more relief from the sun in the afternoon.
