I feel like it's bc Peter prbly knew what he was doing while wearing the suit wasn't something Jeff would be proud of or be seen as done the right way. And Peter knew that he couldn't face Jeff that way, but also knew he "needed" the suit bc it makes him a "better Spider-man."

Kinda sad how short we really wore the black suit, they said this was going to be a dark story.....Peter should have killed Kraven, that would have made the story way more impactful honestly. Seeing Peter deal with the pain of killing someone and having to push past that grief to save the city is 100% something he would do.

We only ever see May's death, but Ben is mentioned a couple of times. It's sad, but it makes sense why he doesn't say anything to Ben.
