Show me a woman that will skip thier kids school play, thier wedding anniversary, thier vacation plans, birthdays, etc to work and I'll show you 1000 men that have to do that daily. That's why men generally make more then women when doing the same job. The employer isn't paying two people differently for the same job, they're paying one of those people to put their job ahead of everything else in thier life.
I clicked on this believing it was a 'Portlandia' skit. I kept waiting for the fun parts. I kept waiting for Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. Now that it's over, I don't know what to think. It's like a parallel reality.
Magic of writing has 2 problems with these "facts": 1 paying obviously less for the same entry position because of gender is illegal, there are all kinds of laws against that 2 if paying women less was legal, nobody would ever hire men ever
Laws don't do anything as long as they rely on corporations to enforce it. They discourage you to even discuss your salary with your coworkers because all sorts of stuff would get exposed. There is an extraordinary discretion for the boss to choose how much you get paid, even for the same jobs and same hours worked, and that introduces an element of bias in how he personally makes that call. It's not just a feminist issue, it's a worker's rights issue.
1. you think just because there are laws against things that people dont do them all the time? Especially when it comes to Civil laws as opposed to criminal? (look up the difference if you dont understand, bottom line is that there are no automatic lawsuits against business you have to sue them, of the oceans of people discriminated against only a few will actually take these things to courts, most of the change that happens is because companies educate their employees using HR trainings, which is also absolutely absurd because people dont understand why this is WRONG!? Maybe like you? 2. you are equating an incentive with a larger societal norm, namely patriarchical based hiring, which is immensely more powerful of a societal norm, like saying, people should always use contraception because having babies is expensive... people are going to have plenty of babies even though its more expensive
@@thl205 That would not be a problem of patriarchy but of the law, now, we would have to analyze how many proven and proven cases exist in a serious way and without bias point by point, paragraph by paragraph, not in a way as simplistic as the progressives do.
Great acting. Terrible propaganda based on a study that was disproven so many times that it’s a meme at this time to quote it. Gender pay gap is a myth. And in all honesty this portrayal of men is one of hundreds of examples of misandry that have guaranteed more gender inequality than ever because who will want to work with women if this is how it ends up? This was a phenomenal scene acting wise but for what it’s in service to, it’s horrific.
its not one study, its a broad problem all over the world, do you understand the entire history of the world is skewed towards men having more power, making more money and dictating how women should live in society. Kinda hard to bury your head so far under the sand but I guess it takes all kinds :(
@@jsogman Bullshit. If that’s the case this scene should be set in Saudi Arabia and not America where women have all the advantages and men don’t. OR, a moment of humanity, that necessary ray of hope that sometimes comes into the life of addicts in recovery, and their families. It doesn't have to be non-stop punch lines to be a good series.
I really hated this arc. They could have had him step up without all od this cringe. Also i was so confused by the actress they chose. There is no need for it and i cant even watch it, its diaturbing.
This is the first time I’ve heard Brian regan swear - it’s very startling
I agree. I never heard him swear. It's strange to hear. He has always been clean.
Word on the street is he swears constantly in real life
Yeah me too ‼️😬
Oscar for this guy!

this is better than 'Portlandia'. I don't get Armisen.
I saw a couple of episode of this show. It is very unfunny.
@@Zodroo_Tint Nah, it has its moments. Maybe not laugh-out-loud funny. Touching yes.
I loved this character, and so happy that they gave him an arc for him to grow and be with his family again.
So heartwarming. Such a great show.
Quick, the angry guy needs IV soy-milk stat.
Say something funny.
@@smokyquartz5817 the only thing that is funny here is the fact that some pathetic losers will defend this propaganda.
Brian Regan nailed his character
Totally, super great acting!
Senational acting
"and i know that because i did a google on it"
That was the opposite of gender blindness. That is all they talked about. How is this gender blindness?
Brian is fantastic in this show.
I almost always cry when I see the final scene.
So Louder milk got woke too...
Seems to me.. he was more impressed with the change in Mugsy
Great final scene acting
Didnt Mugsy walked out on his 8 children? The oldest being 18 that volunteers in homeless shelters.
Yes her name was Latte 😂. This one is the older one
Its 10. He miscounted and the twins werent born yet. Silly mistake
If the twins weren't born yet then he only technically walked out on 8 so.
I know it is true - I googled it)))0 ahahashaahaha
that's where they just undercut their own hypothesis.
So good
what show is this

Yes, like the war on drugs. We made those drug codes, and now there are no more drugs in the US. Once it's law, it never happens.

that's just the banner headline. Jonathan Pie did a very good deep dive into that statistic in one of his videos.
