Big Front Brake Upgrade For 1997-2005 W-Body

- Do you have stock front brakes on your W-body 97-04 regal , 2000-05 monte carlo, 1997-03 grand prix, 2000-05 impala and you want to upgrade them. Here is a video on how to diy brake replacement / upgrade your front brakes to 2004-08 gxp grand prix front brakes. also they will not behind 16inch stock wheels you must upgrade to 17inch or bigger wheels.
Heres the parts list of what i used to convert to gxp brakes
Brake pads - item number c921 from oreillys auto parts
Brake rotors- item number 580381rgs ( need two of these) from oreillys auto parts
Front brake hoses- bh620757 (left side/ driver ) and bh620758 (right side/passenger)
Front Brake calipers with brackets - 2004-08 gxp grand prix/ bonneville gxp from local junkyard.
*To save some money use (car-parts.com) to hunt and find the gxp calipers cheaper at your local salvage yards so you dont have to buy from your local parts stores.*

Awesome video buddy. So those rims fit the monte carlo? What year is the impala for the rims?
They fit all 97-13 wbody cars like regal,grand prix ,monte carlo and impalas. The wheel are off a 2008-13 ltz impala. The under 500 dollars mod videos for grand prix and monte carlo have some pictures of them on a monte carlo on this channel.

Do you realize the front rotors on this car or 10.9 in they're not 10. And some of the later w bodies like the Impala and the Monte Carlo came with 12-in front brakes. Also you really need to clean the rust off the hub surface before you put the new rotor on
10.9 is still a 10inch brake rotor. Yes 2005-13 impalas did have 12 inch rotors option and the biggest monte carlos got was 11inch rotors. I chose the gxp 13inch brakes over the other brake setups like impala cop brake (12inch rotor) due to the gxp ones have more significant stopping ability for the cost.
@@gaspoweredgarage The Impalas had 12-in rotors when they came out and so did the Monte Carlos and I believe it was 2000 or 2001 you better check your stats. I had a 99 Buick regal GS and did the 12-in swap to the Impala Monte Carlo rotors in 2001 when they came out. then I put on the 98 to 2002 F body dual piston aluminum front calipers on it. Cuz all you had to do Is re-drill and tap the stock caliper bracket for the different bolts
