You're right, it's the purest, most perfect voice I've ever heard in my life. Lucy doesn't need any gimmicks to get noticed, her voice is perfect, she sings perfectly, and she's also an exceptional person. This girl is a phenomenon. She's on top of the world, by far the most beautiful voice of all time.
Pure and perfect , no gimmicks!!!! Shame this isn't a live performance . It's a official music video so Lucy is Lip syncing to a pre recorded track . Great voice though .

Hello Zack, thank you for coming back and reacting to Lucy again, Lucy has a voice to die for, she sends you to heaven just listening to it. This cover of " Unchained Melody " is just so beautiful and the production of this cover is just so good as well. I do hope you keep following Lucy she is just class. take care, Barbara.
When you have as much going for you as she has with that incredible voice and stunning natural beauty, hopefully she will stay humble and grounded. The potential this young lady has is limitless and when everyone around you keeps telling you how great you are and how beautiful you are it can lead to arrogance. She is a rare talent and hearing her sing is soothing and gives you chills. The smoothness and clarity that she has is stunning. I have never heard anyone sing like her and she takes every song she sings to another level.
Glad that you reacted to this one, Zach. Her voice is so pure and as you pointed out, her transitions are superb - smooth as silk. Her lower register is probably the best I have ever heard with amazing tone. There are around 70 videos to catch up with, some from when she was 13/14 years old and some duets with her sister Martha, who is almost 6 years younger than Lucy but amazing in her own right and a great harmoniser. Go down the Lucy Thomas rabbit hole and you will attract a lot of her followers to your channel, so win/win. Her cover of the Whitney Houston song, Run to You, is one of my favourites and shows great emotion and All By Myself is also outstanding. Too many to choose.
I read a post earlier today that Lucy's version of this song is receiving 30,000 views per hour with the short video getting up to 52,000 per hour. Pretty amazing! With a voice like hers it really is not surprising! Lucy is the best female singer I've ever heard in my 83+ years. Thanks for the great reaction to Lucy.
Yes Lucy is phenomenal,a stunning vocalist& a beautiful human being in every sense,so glad to have found her several years ago!, i think the next 12 months will be a magical time for her with a concert in Tokyo due in September & the musical 'Rosie' due to open in the first part of next year in which she will be the star performer!😊
Hi Zack! Great analysis - enjoyed. "It's a song not a carnival" - LOL loved that! Like you - I think the greater world musical community is just waking up to Lucy. Her vocal skills are just elite, voice control, breath control, richness of tone - she has easy elegant power. Just a stunningly beautiful and unique voice. To become a fan is to listen to her sing once. Have always loved this song - Bobby Hatfield just rocked this thing - somehow - somehow - this is my new favorite version of the song. The incomparable Lucy Thomas - she is on her way! Thx for covering Lucy - look forward to your next one!

Loved your reaction, and your analysis and the things you catch are so solid. What an incredible cover of this huge classic. It's hard to find someone who can stand and deliver on this song, especially when you have that original hovering overhead, but Lucy does it. All props to the Righteous Brothers (who I'm sure would love this cover of their baby as well), but Lucy just delivered a winner. Most beautiful voice on earth. I think of that little twang you mentioned as a whine or cry. Kind of a little yodel flip. But it's definitely part of who she is, especially as she's matured. You mentioned Bridge Over Troubled Water... she crushes that one too. Great reax, Zack! --Jon
Hi Great to see a new reaction to Lucy. Lucy has been singing since she was 7.Given a recording contract a 14 and now at 20 has released 6 Albums to date Lucy can sing any genre .She is starring in a musical written for her by award winning songwriter Chris Broom Chris also owns Cavendish Records the label Lucy is under, Due to Open In London early next year. Lucy has covered most of the Divas and made their songs hers. This is an old Iconic song and was always my favourite sung by Bobby Hatfield until now .Now Lucy owns it. Lucy has a beautiful controlled voice imo. the Best female vocalist out there today. and still so young. Lucy is our Northern Nightingale .Thanks for supporting Lucy
Hey Zack, nice analysis of this amazing young artist, what a voice. For your information, Lucy is the real deal, her live performances at a recent Manchester concert are incredible, Lucy’s voice seems to have so much richness and depth, and her tone, well it is just candy for the ears. Thanks again, loved it. 😊❤️👏
Lucy is stunning, incredible and gifted. This particular cover is phenomenal! The beauty, huge talent and powerful, gorgeous pitch perfect voice is what Lucy brings to the table. Lucy is a world class shining star.
Exactly Zack. Pure voice and basic . Hate all the baloney people feel they need to add. If i had Lucys voice quality id just leave it alone. Perfect. She lets the songs breathe . Rare quality now a days. Her diction is so good. More please❤
I hear Lucy Thomas's voice as the voice of the pretty girl next door. She is singing to her unknown first love, and every young man's prayer is to be that love she longs to find.
Thanks for the react and yes Lucy just sings the way it is suppose to be sung, she does not have to do all the vocal and set gymnastics to detract from the singing, Lucy flat out sings !!! Lucy is known for her clear clean pronounciation, her vibrado, her holding her note, her power and her range, with the most beautiful voice. and when she speaks she has the strong British accent, thanks for the react you have just seen her latest song, she has 4 videos out from her live public concert, SOMEWHERE, AT LAST, WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD and he encore of HALLELUJAH that she brought the house down with !!! Thanks for the react and look forward to more of Lucy.
Your right about her ability to hold a note. Try the end of Evergreen..... she's even smiling while she holds the 17 second long vibrato high. Quite incredible really.
Hi, Zack. great review. I to hear that little bit of country in her voice. Lucy is just plan fantastic. I have followed her for about 3 yrs now. We are witnessing the making of a super star. So jump upon the Lucy Thomas train. She has so many wonderful recordings and she is just a very humble person. My suggestion is try the Barbra Streisand hit “Evergreen”. Please stay safe, healthy, and free.
Zack, you're right - Lucy does have a slight southern or country sound to her voice, and many have commented on that. Overall, she sings with an American accent and many think she is, but she's from northeast England and, when speaking, has a regional British accent.
To: @mmarchman3907 - Linguistic inheritance? Americans have commented on the accent of Jethro, the late Cornish comedian sounding familiar. It is highly likely that many immigrants in America originally came from the surrounding areas of the major ports such as Plymouth and Liverpool. It would be interesting to know if such associations occur in perhaps the Scandinavian, Dutch, German, etc centric communities.
@@petermoody6147 Yes, the Library of Congress has taped various regional accents in the South, especially, that go far back to England, Scotland, Wales. Once, when I stopped at a gas station in Pennsylvania, the owner and a customer, apparently "Pennsylvania Dutch," were speaking German fluently.
To: @mmarchman3907 - From a quick map search it would appear that the port of Bremerhaven near the Dutch/Geman border was supplied by a good rail system. This allowed many people on both sides to use that as an exit point to Ellis Island. I think 'High German' was possibly the 'lingua franca' in those regions.
Great reaction. Nothing Lucy does is accidental. It's all thought trough and given the love and care it needs with no badly chosen ugly gymnastics. It all looks easy but she worked her ass off from when she was 7. She also sings them in the accent she thinks the song needs. Lovely modest person and the best vocalist in the world imo. Try Listen when she was 14 or The Prayer with her lovely 5y,8mo younger sister Martha 16/11? Enjoy.
I have heard several reactors who have heard Lucy sing and wondered if she isn't a country singer, and are suprised to hear she is British. Good catch on your part Zack. She can sing just about anything. I appreciate your reactions of her work.
I have always felt that she could be a phenomenal country singer. Then she sang Aerosmith and I thought she could sing rock songs. Then she sang Barbra and I thought she could sing on stage or in movies. Then she sings with Martha and I thought she could sing in Cathedrals. Then I thought she can sing anything anyplace anywhere anytime.👍🌹❤️
Lucy is from the north of England and has what in the Uk is a Lancashire accent. If you listen her sing ,We can change the world rom her Manchester live concert you can hear her accent .
A thoughtful reaction to this great young singer and yes, you can say she's pretty. Her voice is now instantly recognisable by millions now and your right she's definitely not a Christina Aguilera. You may get a little vocal imbellishment but without all the unnecessary vocal gymnastics. Lucy at twenty has become a vocal genius -- just ask the various voice coaches who've reacted to songs past and present. Can she get any better??.
I've heard a few people think and says she sounds southern. Or be good singing country songs But let her beautiful self sing in alien and she would steal their hearts too, I enjoy that its her own voice and every word is so clear, Someone mentioned Blue by LeAnn Rimns is that the note you heard, Enjoy zack..
Zack, what you're talking about (yodel) another reactor describes it as a "flip" between registers. It makes a nice effect. Lucy's diction is very clean. If you watch really close you see her chin/mouth complete a words at times. You can actually understand the lyrics. Her breath control really shows at times. Ex: the first time she goes high (Mine) she hits the note, holds it and then adds vibrato, then goes right on into the continuation of the next phrase. Hard to figure where she keeps all that air.
Of course you can say she's pretty, it's a true compliment. Besides she is 20 years old, lol. And yes she's from northern England, a town called Wigan, near Manchester.
Hi Zack Lucy is from a Town called Wigan in the North West of England. She has been singing since she sung an impromptu song to her grandmother at a birthday party at the age of 7. Lucy has a sister called Martha, who joins with Lucy every so often and their duets are out of this world. Martha is 5 years and 8 months younger than Lucy. Despite being a very good vocalist in her own right, Martha only sings as a hobby. Martha has said that she will not be pursuing a musical career, as Martha's passion is riding and equestrian sports.
Someone commented elsewhere that as long as the reactor is subscribed it is ok .. not sure how much truth that is .. but subbing to her is no prob really
Hmm . Another Angalina agitator who just can't help themselves but denigrate other singers by comparison. It's totally pointless.
