August first 2024,, as I watch this most excellent video,, the camera man pans around the room sharing with we viewers those in attendance I am reminded the number of these folks no longer with us. We are so privileged to have been fans of the majority of their careers.
Vince Gill,, what an incredible talent he was and still is in 2024. I once heard Vince is among the few singers who OWN PERFECT PITCH. I don't have the musical skills to know if it's true or not but to my unskilled ears, there's not a better singing voice out there,, unless it might be Steve Perry. Anyway, Thank you whomever uploaded these videos of the country music greats sitting around and sharing stories and singing for us.
I have been watching these "REUNION" videos for the last 3 days! I agree with the majority of comments that it's sad to think that of the performers are no longer with us. The era of country music is slowly slipping away.
Way back in the 70's at the Holiday-Inn, Kearney Nebr. is where I, my wife and friends had privilege of seeing Leroy Van Dyke perform. That's when we found out that he and my wife were both from Missouri, He from the mountains, my wife from down there on the flatland, as he put it.
Vince Gill is the man who can tear your heart out with is music that comes from the heart always been a big fan maybe I can have the chance to meet vince someday hoping
These old shows were filmed in the late 90s. Leann didn't record an album with a major recording company until 1997. She wasn't a star when these were filmed.
@cherylwilkinson3228 funny you should point that out. Was Mandy Barnett around back then? Was Mo Pitney recording back then? Yet both have been featured on the Reunion shows.
Love the steel guitar. That's what is wrong with this new country sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard. This is country music. Not many people play good steel anymore. God bless y'all for doing this it is awesome. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤
I have always loved Vince Gill . ❤ If you ever have forever in mind . ❤ Phyllis Katrina , ❤ Debbie Lindsey , ❤ Stephanie Branum ,❤ Monique Proffitt , ❤ Stacy White
FYI....perfect pitch is a natural key while singing...it requires no stress of the singer's natural voice...this phenomenon is actually more common than people might think. The reason we don't hear more about this is because the percentage of people who have natural perfect pitch do not sing professionally
My first 1970 I purchased over two years ago. Unfortunately 6 months after I bought it the watch survived a 6-foot fall onto ceramic tile. It never ran correctly again. Fast forward to a month ago. I purchased another 1970 and received it in the mail two weeks ago. It is as close to perfection as any watch I will ever own. That said the lume on both watches is excellent both surviving an 8 hour night and still being readable. There is some variance to be seen in lumed watches. With the same models often one is better than the other.
Just loving all these performers but I would like to point out Jimmy Caps. Truly one of the greatest guitarist of my time.
Jimmy The Great Caps! Unforgettable!
Absolutely
RIP Jimmy Capps one of the greatest guitarist ever!!!
A lot of these people are no longer with us.
Almost every time I see him play his guitar it just makes me have goosebumps. He was absolutely the greatest and he will be forever missed. RIP sir.😢😢

Vince is so humble he is setting there soaking up the vibes from ALL of these stars. And he really is sitting with his equals

They were great.
Thanks for sharing. Country music is my favorite!
all these shows/episodes are nothing...totally incomplete without the immensely talented Leann Rimes.
These old shows were filmed in the late 90s. Leann didn't record an album with a major recording company until 1997. She wasn't a star when these were filmed.

I also love watching mickey and jerry when they appeared together playing piano and singing. So effortless

When we lost a lot of these singers thats when country music died.
It is still alive at my place❤
yeah that and nashville allowing and recording the stuff that passes for country today.
Pretty Miss Norma Jean is just Awesome! And still pretty after all these years! I'm curious when this first aired?
My first 1970 I purchased over two years ago. Unfortunately 6 months after I bought it the watch survived a 6-foot fall onto ceramic tile. It never ran correctly again. Fast forward to a month ago. Filmed in January 2008, right after Porter Wagoner passed. Sadly many of these people have passed 16 years later.
❤❤❤❤
Weird AL Yankovish of all people..has perfect pitch. He has never been advertised as such...but it's a fun little fact
Carol lee singers don't get the recognition that they should.
Absolutely
Vince broke down and I feel that
Maybe you could put names with the pictures of them speaking? I don't remember alot of them
it truly isn't a country band unless you have the steel guitar in there!
👍
When was this recorded?
Mickey gilley. Funny guy.
What year was this filmed anyone please?
Hi Jimmy how are you? I got Dr.appointment..
Where is my mix
Where is my music
COUNTRY MUSIC DIED IN THE 70's
