Funny how EVR speaks of how the tour guys knew how great Xander's been playing all year, and how he's being overlooked. I'm sure this was filmed before his 2 MAJOR wins. 😂
Loving the channel bro 😊 got me back into golf keep smiling and laughing. Get on Daniel Grieve 3 release on you tube think that would help you short game. respect and keep up the videos
I don’t understand the 1/2 strokes per hole, wouldn’t getting a full stroke on non-par 3’s do something similar while keeping him in more matches. No shame taking strokes against a tour pro
is the RGC Golf app only for IPhone? Thought it was the golf community for everyone; but currently its only the golf community for 60% of the population that has an iPhone?
I know that EAL hits the ball pretty far off the tee, whatever his HCP is. But I just don't get the point of him playing golf at 7,800 yards. Like, at the end of the day, is that really fun for him? Obviously playing with Erik at an exclusive and brand-new place is fun. Not disputing that. But he (and I, and most normal people) aren't good enough to play golf from those distances. What exactly are you taking from the experience?
What is the point of half stroke? Why not play a full? Doesn’t it equal out to the same results? Maybe I am slow but everytime I watch the videos I can’t figure it out and my brain malfunctions lol
Idk man. I think this course represents all that could be wrong about the game of golf. It's massive and cut from a forest, lush green in a place requiring extensive irrigation, super private and exclusive and frankly not even very interesting. I bet the promo money was good tho.
I’m surprised you’re doing anything associated with JT after the podcast you recorded a couple years ago. Hopefully you’ve forgiven him if this is the case
@@ericsawyer2995 that isn’t remotely comparable. Par 5s are a chance to reward the golfer with eagle with a perfect drive and 3 wood with typically taking on risk such as a hazard or OB. When a PGA player doesn’t have a chance to reach with a 320 yard drive and 290 yard 3 wood, it seems odd to force a “layup” even if it is with a 3 wood. Nobody expects a chance at eagle on vast majority of par 4s.
Remove par from your brain. It's a hole. Play it as well as you can. Par is completely irrelevant. It's all in your mind. You could call it a par 3 and it would change literally nothing about playing the hole.
I think there's a place in golf for both 2 and 3 shotters on par 5's. However a true 3 shotter these days is 700+ yards...uphill. Bryson may still reach that in 2.
What a great duo to watch
Thank YOU
7800 Yards!?? Erik coming hot out the gate!!! LFG!!
Best guest yet, great vibe.
Erik VR is the man!
Is this the shot tracer app? I can't get mine to look anywhere near that good
Love the cinematography in this video. Great quality vid!

Well yeah, EVR said at one point "this will be Troon in a couple of months". He didn't qualify for Troon unfortunately
Definitely was filmed awhile ago, been a few full 18 hole videos out of this place
Van Rooyen is legend ❤️🔥
WHAT A 9! SOME GREAT SHOTS FROM ERIK, HECK OF A COURSE 530 PAR 4🤯⛳️
8:51, truer words have never been spoken in any game of golf.
@RandomGolfClubFilms link to the Ping hat???
Honestly, I never really liked watching EVR but after this video, he’s actually now one of my favs on PGAT

Was the par up there by the pipe? Solid playing for a 12 cap.
Fun and enjoyable thanks ❤
Great work Erik, keep that great Texas vibe content coming!
Would have a beer with EVR any day of the week, what a lad!
I can tell you what it was for me. After missing a birdie putt I would relax. Par putts were always less pressure.
How are you guy keeping score on this? I don’t understand the screen showing the green numbers dropping lower when someone wins a hole
PGA pro is giving the other guy half a stroke on every hole, so a six becomes a 5.5
In practice, it just means he’ll win any holes they tie
@@JaredClaunch oh ok. Thank you
RGC, is Eric's ping cap model available to the public?
As a U of M grad I’m always a bit of a fanboy of EVR. Also absolutely going to describe long par 4 as “dinner time” par 4s now 😂
I know a lot of golf youtube content was uploaded today. But honestly no one does it better than RGC
why is there a swiss flag @0:24? does anyone know?
LEKKER MY BOET!!
Jy moet vir Eric kry om na sonnige Suid-Afrika te kom om saam met ons gholf te speel...DANKIE
💯 agree with it’s something mental about that par thing if it is genuine.
what sunglasses are those
Lets go RGC X Erik Van Rooyen Lets have a day
Any quetsions??
Eric seems like such a nice dude.
once again Eriks 12 HNDCP is showing

@@edj9961 lang is about 6 I think and then a pro approx +6 so instead 12 full bumps and 18 1/2 bumps so if they both par lang would win that hole.
1:48 nice driver drag
Erik V is a stud of a man
Half stroke…oh my. Different but now to consistent.

We're working on an Android app now and hope to release it soon!
@@RandomGolfClubFilms Looking forward to signing up when Its available! Thanks for the quick reply & all of your content is top tier! ⛳
What happened to the Df2.1 putter??
Ping, Ecco, L.A.B. you know I give Erik grief, but we are basically twins.
Anyone know what language he was speaking ??
Most of it was English. Wasn't the rest Afrikaans?
@@rowanrobinson okay i wasn’t sure I went on google and it said that South Africa has like 11 languages 😅
Good Morning from Wiang Chai Chiang Rai Thailand
sponsored by Ecco but your wearing on clouds from hole 3??

They're not playing by stroke, but by who wins the hole. Essentially best of 9
In practice, half stroke just means EAL wins the hole whenever they tie, but still loses if he’s a stroke behind

Do you also not understand a par 4 that isn’t drivable?
