I think Ultimate is easily the best official Smash game that's come out since Melee, I do. That said - Fatality's style is so well-suited to Melee Falcon. Any other Melee players think so? Man I'd love to see this guy being taken under the wings of Wizzrobe/S2J/n0ne. Fatality's entire play strategy always seems to be fishing for options that SHOULD be there. It's like he knows that Falcon should be capable of more than his current frame data.
That frame data is in melee my dude.
I agree with the first bit--it is definitely the best smash game since melee. i'm sure a player as strong as fatality could be good at any smash game, but i'm still not sure how much I think ultimate falcon relates to melee falcon. there are definitely shades of it (wayyyyyy more than brawl or s4 falcon), but I think time will tell. at the very least I think he has to get his openings and starters differently in ultimate (for example, first hit nair, although you could compare it to late falling uair on melee falcon, so there are parallels).
fatality is hype asf though, and I enjoy listening to his perspectives about the game

I don't know Blank, but from this match alone it just looked like Fatality was on a whole different level. The only reason it was a match was the absurd combo of Chrom's massive disjointed hitboxes, attack speed, and killing power.

Can you literally just input up-b with a slight inclination to the desired side with your movement stick and it works like that? Or am I missing something?
Enchanted Lepe, Nope that’s exactly how it works! You can do it offstage too. And it works with any character that has a one sided up-b (like Mario for example)
7:27 that reverse knee is what you get when you mess up an attack canceled back air. it is really difficult tho and props to fatality for even going for it. commentators do your homework please. that is why people prefer people like ESAM, HBOX or Dabuz on commentary because they actually know things about the game.
Articuno it’s tech that applies to any character, both not a Falcon main and awful at the game but know this.
Though as far as tech goes attack cancelled back air in generally considered pretty easy, as far as that sort of thing goes. My smash corner has a vid on it if your interested
@@jeffcorney2128 It personally just feels wonky to me...like it works 80% of the time for me and the 20% of the time it messes up it didn't feel like I input it any differently. Then again Melee is the only other Smash I've played seriously and a lot of things feel wonky, even the buffer system screws me up still :/
Andrew Kohlmeyer I know the feeling! The buffer still trips be up from time to time, mainly with the c stick.
But for the attack cancel bair, it seemed more consistent when I press the dash and a split second after pressed jump and c stick back while still holding the analog stick forward. I seemed to get a reverse fair when I release the analog stick to fast. I’m not 100% on what the exact reason is, but that’s helped me get it more consistently
