Shooting.357 magnums out of this Tracker feels like shooting 38s out of other revolvers. Shooting 38s feels like shooting..22s. And it's accurate. It's really a lot of fun.
I've had an identical Tracker for a couple of years now. Like your presentation it has a smooth action and has been totally reliable. It's also a tack driver. I replaced stock grip with Pachmyr grips.
Re: dry firing.. they don't want the hammer to fall on empty space. Just slide some once fired cases into your empty cylinder and fire away. End of problem.
Just put 100 bucks down on one about 30 minutes ago. I'm a full time student and expecting my first baby in about 6 weeks. Can't beat the cost of the TRACKER! Dude at the gun shop talked me out of buying one about three hours ago during a "homework break", went back to campus, did some homework, read and watched a couple vids of the gun along the way and headed straight back to the shoppe. Told the dude not to talk me out of buying guns anymore and put it on layaway. By the way, it was his second time in a month talking me out of plinking guns. (I carry semi-auto Glock/Sig/Xd) This will be my first wheel gun. Thanks for the video.
You won't regret buying this wheel gun. I own both a S&W 686 and a Taurus 627. Taurus makes great guns at half the price its counterparts in the US. Great revolver that delivers as a high end gun. It's a keeper for sure. Greetings from TX
@@eduardogprado Holy cow, that comment seems long ago. Well Eduardo, I left that gun shop disappointed, and found a Ruger, 4" GP100, on the used market. To this day, I still want to try a Tracker. Not wanting to be "that guy," I eventually returned to the gun shop and transfered the $100 to a S&W Airweight in .38 Special - they had never ordered the Tracker anyway. I loved both of the Ruger, and S&W, and would use them as a daily system. In Utah, public colleges allow students to carry on campus with a permit. So I had the GP in the backpack, and the Airweight on the belt. Now I am in law school, and because I'm broke, I sold every gun but my Kahr PM40, Beretta PX4 (40 S&W), and my 12-gauge Mossberg 835 - I think that's what it's called. Once I'm done with law, if there is still a U.S. Constitution, and a Republic for which it stands, I hope to buy some guns of my dreams; such as the Tracker. Man, it's funny how UA-cam holds onto old comments. Thanks for taking me down memory lane. I was still studying at the community college when I was buying those revolvers. I miss them, and they made me a better shooter. One last thing: I like Kahr trigger's because they have no wall; like striker fired guns do. The Beretta is a Type-C model, and it does not have a safety, nor a burred hammer. The PX4 trigger is DOA, and I love it because owning revolvers made me appreciate DOA more than my Glocks, Sigs, 1911's, etc. Both the Kahr and Beretta have triggers that I liken to revolvers, and that is why I prefer them. That preference all started because I committed to the Tracker. Take care my friend, I hope you find some happiness in pursuing your Tracker! If you get one, let me know your thoughts. PS. 'As if I need a PS' - The Tracker I ordered was a 6" and because my Ruger was 4" I always felt like the Tracker was an unfinished dream. Plus, it's seven rounds, right? Man, it's been a while. I really wanted that Tracker! OK. Goodnight.
@@bry0ung no worries mate! Yep, the tracker is a 7 shooter. Here in Brazil we can only get the 4 incher, got figure, since it's a brazilian company. Anyway, thanks for chatting bro, and do get the tracker! Cheers
I own two S&W revolvers. One is a classic model 29 made in the late 1960's and I have an Air Weight made in the 1990's, they are both great guns, but for the money my Taurus Tracker is every bit as good. The cylinder lockup on my Tracker is tighter than both of my S&W's. They are older, but they are not even close. I feel for the money the Tracker is tough to beat. I also have a Raging Bull in .480 and a PT101 in .40 all of which have been 100% reliable guns. My PT101 is 30 years old and shoots like a new gun. Nothing wrong with Taurus.

That lock out system is better than Smith and Wesson's right near the cylinder release. Even S&W guys will tell ya' they hate it and Taurus' is more hidden where it's located.
Building up on my gun stock for family and I .. we will collaborate same chambered caliber guns to keep prices down on ammo. What a handsome looking handgun. Debating myself on a tracker 627 4"barrel ss.. the other is a Ruger Wiley Clapp talo edition 3"barrel, both are sweet weapons... Brasil or German? Or American? S&W?
Try the original grip first. Hogue is too coarse and hard for my taste, you'll end up with blisters on your palm after 100 rounds. Original grip is softer and absorbs recoil better, even though it looks mushy and cheap. I fell for the Hogue hype and I don't use it at all any more. Shot the gun with it once (100 rounds of .357 Magnum) and that was one very painful experience. It was on 6" version, btw.
