  • Mario Veloso explains the dark, discrete and illegal procedure followed to allow female elder ordination, as a first step to promote pastor woman ordination. Not being still approved by the GC, it doesn't appear in the Church Manual.
Cut taken from the vid: "Women s Ordination 2nd Panel Regional Ordination A Path to Congregationalism" (it's worth watching at it entirely).

Ordination of the women is against biblical principles.

Ordination of women elders, Holy Scripture call it "turning of things upside-down". For the women cannot usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. Remember that God is not an utter of confusion.

This is one of the most hypocritical subjects of the SDA church. This group mostly esteem LNG White even above scriptures sometimes. They have more respect for Sister White than they have for Jesus christ yet they don't allow women to be leaders. It's beyond my understanding...

My friend, you are terribly mistaken. You really should investigate this subject much deeper and if you are a Bible believer you will find God has given the church all the gifts including the spirit of prophecy. Read 1CORINTHIANS ch.12 and Ephesians ch.4. This will help to understand the church will have all these gifts until........you will read the conclusion. God bless your study

Jezebel and Athaliah were both Political Rulers, Ruling over the Religious affairs of Judah and the Bible is quite explicit how that turned out both for them and for their subjects.

I don’t agree w women ordination. This is anti biblical. I guess it’s easy to give in to the world then it is to stand your ground. Well we got to pray for strength and guidance.

Oh dear, not again. How did this pop up in my feed. Sir, please read and study your Bible. Women have been ordained as elders to serve ALONG side of men long before this topic became an issue. Joel 2:28 says that sons AND daughters will be filled with the Spirit and will prophecy.

Willy Cat🐱: The school of thought that is opposed to female ordination is generally referred to as complementarianism. The phrase denotes a classical viewpoint on gender issues. Generally, complementarians hold the opinion that God has created men and women equal in their essential dignity and human personhood, but different and complementary in function with male headship in the home and in the Church. Though the complementarian position appears to be an established version of the biblical roles for the genders since time immemorial.
That is to say that whereas women and men have been created equally, they have different functions. In the context of Christianity, then, this position upholds that a woman is not to be an elder or pastor because those positions are prohibited to women by scripture.
In Christianity, egalitarians agree with complementarians that men and women are equal in worth. However, egalitarianism goes further to state that men and women are considered equal in role capabilities as well; there are no gender restrictions on what roles men and women can fulfill in the church, home, and society. The most important verse to the egalitarian position is Paul’s proclamation in Galatians 3:28, which states, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
The complementarian case goes back to the Garden of Eden, where God says of Adam, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him” [Genesis 2:18]. This is said to be the first instance of differentiation of gender roles, with Eve as a helper.
In matters relating to marriage, Ephesians 5:21-33 is also a key passage. It states, excerpt states:
“Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” [Ephesians 5:22-25 [Also read 1 Peter 3:1-9].
Hupotasso is the word in Greek that means to submit. It is a military term that refers to ranking oneself under. It is just a different position. It does not mean less in value. In order to function properly wives submit themselves in the rank of function under their husbands - “as unto the Lord”, meaning in line with Scripture. She is not to submit to anything outside of the realm of Scripture, nor is he to ask her to. He is not to demand that she submit - that is outside of his realm of authority. Her submission is to be freely given.
We can see that here in 1 Peter this family has a problem. The husband is in sin. The wife is commanded to submit to the Lord, not to her husband in his sin. There is no passage that supports submitting to sin or to abuse. The wife is to honor the Lord in her attitude, not in condoning sin or enabling sin. She isn’t to nag him, nor is she to try to play the role of the Holy Spirit and convict him. In this passage also we can see that the husband is commanded to live with his wife in an understanding way. He is to care for her, to lay down his life for her. He is called to be her protector. All of this must be done so that his prayers are not hindered.
The New Testament also holds references to women in positions of leadership and is referred to as prophets, apostles, deacons, and house church leaders [see for example Romans 16:1-7, Colossians 4:15, 2 John 1:1,13, Acts 16:13-15].
Many egalitarians are quick to call all biblical complementarianism “oppressive patriarchy.” However, we can see in scripture that the complementarian role is extremely protective and supportive of women.
God values the representation of marriage in how it is a living breathing example of salvation: the church loving and following Christ, and Christ giving Himself up for His Bride. This illustration is only seen in Complementarianism.
Pray and ask God which direction you lean and make sure to have ample biblical support for why you do.
