In the qualifications given for "bishops" (i.e., pastors, elders, shepherds), Paul twice says they must be "the husband of one wife" (1 Tim. 3:2; Titus 1:6). Unless you are willing to accept two lesbians living together and call it a "marriage," there is no way for a woman to be "the husband of one wife."

1 Corinthians 14:33-40,”For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak;but they are to be submissive,as the law also says.verse 36,or did the word of God come originally from you? Or was it you only that it reached? If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.Deuteronomy 4:2,”You shall not add to the word which I command you,nor take from it.”Jeremiah 6:16,”Thus says the Lord:”Stand in the ways and see,And ask for the old paths, where the good way is ,And walk in it;Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said,’We will not walk in it .’Galatians 1:6-9,”But even if we,(the apostles)or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you,let him be accursed.verse 9 As we have said before,so now I say again,if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what we have received, let him be accursed.”You have led those people astray,Revelation22:18,19”If anyone adds to these things,God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book ;and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy,God shall take away his part from the book of life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

    Mr, Bradford,
I read my Bible, in Act 1: 22-26. They had to choose a next apostle, and they choose a male,
Titus 1:5-7 and ordained the elders a husband of one wife, and if we believe the Bible don't compromise.
    1Timothy chapter 3 :1-14 .
I am sure ashamed of the compromising with God's word,

Pastoral ministry is a gift of the Spirit. He gives it to whomever He will. However, not all are called to be leaders in the Church. Scriptures shows a Divine pattern of headship. Sister White encouraged sisters to work with the brothers in strengthening the Gospel, but each has their own sphere of influence as she even recognized. Ie. Even a male cannot be a midwife, a woman must be. Our differences as men and women God created, to changed the sexual roles God designed is not within the will of God. God bless and come to the aid of His bride-the Church.

    • @theranova99

No one is discussing sexual roles here. Thats a topic for another day. Women are being called by God to pastor, all over the world.
BTW, I know male midwives who are very good at their job and in demand from mothers-to-be.

God bless. see my posting above if you care to. E. G. White Preached and Taught. She was a wife and mother, but God Himself called her to show us what He wants from each of us. God bless!

preaching, teaching, prophesying, are not positions. EVERYONE can and must do that. we don't have to BE pastor or elder to do that. they who demand to be ordained pastor or elder in order to preach & teach, must realise that it is NOT God's order in the church. In doing God's work, we have to do it in God's way.
and it is God's way that the POSITION of Pastor & Elder are for man (1 Tim 3:2,12; Tit 1:6)

    • @christiedecker2724

Those who feel 'ordination' is anything of man, should study it out. All ordination should be is recognition by mankind that they see God has called this person to work for Him.
Anyone that feels ordination makes someone 'higher' or 'more holy' than the rest, truly does not know God's plan. Mrs. E. G. White stated she was 'ordained of God'. Man didn't not ordain her because what could they do over God?
Chipa Singa, I know that being ordained of man only recognizes that God has called and ordained someone, whether male or female. That you would deny that God calls someone by refusing to add your own blessing to God's is sad.

I have a lot of respect for pastor Bradford but he is way off base on this one. The Biblical qualifications for elders and pastors are listed in First Timothy and Titus. And, like it or not, one of those requirements is being the "husband of one wife". A husband is a male and a wife is a female, unless we want to go down the Lgbt road, and God have mercy on us if we do.

    The sermon was good however..
Would God speak against or contrdict himself?
Even in giving out gifts surely God would not be against himself.
Notice that GIFTS is plural and not singular. Therefore a woman can be given one of many gifts without being giving the gift that would put her in error and be out of order. Over time God has not given man the ability to birth a child.
That should not be a hurtful or offensive to anyone.

The bible consistently talks of the male headship. The pagan religions had women as priest. The problem in adventism today is the obeying the bible is not so important to some.God has created us with different roles. The woman can have children the man cannot. In 1corinthians 11:3 we read"But i would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ;and the head of the woman is the man;and the head of christ is God.Do God's word contradict itself? If God pours out His spirit on all flesh do that change the role of the male and female? Will the male now be able to be pregnant and the female now become the head of the man? Will Christ become the head of the Father because God has poured out His spirit on all flesh? The fact that your sons and daughters shall proclaim the message does not mean that the roles that God has ordained have been changed. In the bible God appointed KINGS,PRIEST,Men as head of the home. What spirit is leading men to want to change the roles which God Himself has ordained? We have different roles let us fulfill our appointed roles which God has ordained or we would be going against God.Today the eyes wants to be the ears. That is not God's will. The eye must be a much more effective eye when the spirit of God is poured out on all flesh and so to the ear.The Holy spirit does not change the role but makes the role more effective for the finishing of God's work in this world.God's word must be obeyed.love not the world neither the things in the world if any man love the world the love of the father is not in him for ALL that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life are NOT of the Father but of the world. Are you protestant or catholic. Will we obey the word of God or the traditions and culture of men?

    How readest tho?
There is nothing new under the sun, and when it comes to structure, God has demonstrated in Scripture how He would structure His Church. There is no question that the gifts are distributed by God, but there is a hierarchy of "authority" nonetheless.
I am by no means narrow minded, "your sons AND your daughters shall prohesy"- this is clear that all are to be a witness in spreading the gospel, but when I read 1 Tim 3:2,12; Titus 1:6, it is plain that a Bishop or Deacon must be the "husband" of one wife - A husband is a "male partner in a marriage".
Ordination does not prevent anyone from having or using the gifts, and ordination does not make your gift more effective - but God is a God of order. He recognises the female as the "weaker vessel" (1Pet 3:7)... not weak, just weak-er. Is plain scripture coming into question by God's Remnant Church?
The question (to me) is not whether women should preach, Joel chp 2 is clear on this subject, the question is one of having ecclesiastical authority over the church. Do we have an example of this anywhere in scripture? Where a woman was ever given ecclesiastical authority over the church?
Further, a woman does not have authority over her own husband, how can she have authority over the church?
    Implicit or explicit?
1Cor 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman [is] the man; and the head of Christ [is] God.
I am not a scholar, but this is my understanding of scripture. Please, be christian in your responses, no need to belittle or be unkind, let us educate one another.
    Peace and blessings!

hello.. it's an interesting topic. so, please let me give my thought, sorry if my english is not good.
i have some points of view:
    1. God created first human, male & female. they ARE equal. BUT they have different role. Eve has to be a 'helper' to Adam who ordered by God to keep the Eden and name the animals. if Eve RETAINED her role, than they would be ok. but she preferred to have another position/role, 'to be like God' (higher than Adam), so she fell.
    2. God puts the role of priesthood on men. YES, from Genesis to Revelation, it is the position for men.
    3. Church is a form of family which God design, and PUT the men as the head. (Ep 5:22,23) Yes, first God's church, Adam & Eve, Adam as the head. Noah as the head of his church (with 8 members). Abraham as the head of his church (many members). It is so important, because God's design is perfect. When somebody think it's ok now to PUT women as the head in the family as well as PUT women as the head of ordained pastor or elder (the priesthood role), then it must be a violation to God's order of marriage as well as His order of positions in the church. We are speaking about ROLE here. NOT about EQUALITY.
let's keep another points for now. because i want us to think. God created human, male & female, means, they ARE equal as human BUT different in nature & functions. When man reject God's order by preferring to be a women, than he will violate God's law regarding effeminate & sodomites (1 Cor 6:9), vice versa.
i mean, woman is a wonderful creation. they can be MORE stronger than men in certain circumstances. they give birth, they used by God as the symbol of church, etc.
so why WANT more then what God had designed? God gave different talents & responsibility to different individuals, that if we are faithful to those things we would be rewarded (Mat 25:23). But as man and women God also gave us different ROLE. my question, are we faithful and PLEASED to accept and do the role? or are we questioning it regarding of POPULAR TRADITIONS?
YES, we ARE EQUAL in salvation (Gal 3:25-28), in human rights, in social relationship, and many aspect. BUT we ARE DIFFERENT in GENDER, ROLE, how to dress (Deut 22:5), etc.
someone may say that we are all "priesthood of believer". Yes, the same as the Israel before 1st coming, they are the nation of priesthood, while ONLY the male of the levites who run the position.
Jesus is our High Priest now. that's right. just like Aron was the hight priest but he had his son and the levites as priests and the 24 elder to do the matters relating to the priesthood.
Jesus is our High Priest in heaven, and He has his people on earth to do develop His church and to do the work of the priesthood of His new covenant (holy communion, baptizing, ordaining)
that's why Jesus build His church and bless the 12 apostles (all male) and order them to BAPTIZE people.
while 'preaching the gospel', 'teaching', 'serving', etc are all His disciple's job, the BAPTIZING and ORDAINING only done by the apostles.
so.. it is clearly the fundamental teaching of the BIBLE vs POPULAR TRADITIONS.
    I definitely choose the bible..
    God bless

As much as I respect Pastor Bradford, I must strongly disagree. To take the approach that we can go against a clear statement of Scripture, “If any be blameless, the husband of one wife,” and substitute it with something that is “possibly implied,” is dangerous. It would leave the church to the imagination of the people and not the direct dictate of God. Let me explain.
In Acts 20:7, Paul is seen gathered with the disciples preaching to them on the first day of the week. “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.” The implication is that first day worship is acceptable since both the apostle Paul and the disciples did so. If I followed Pastor Bradford’s idea of implicit reasoning, i could not and should not classify first day worshippers as violators of God’s commandment. However, no honest Seventh-day Adventist would accepts first day worship as being okay with God. The question is why? And the answer is because there is a clear command from God. The same holds true with women’s ordination. Notice the clarity of Scripture.
    TITUS 1:5, 6
“5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: 6 If any be blameless, the HUSBAND of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.” - (caps mine for emphasis)
    1 TIMOTHY 3:1, 2
“1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the HUSBAND of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach.” - (caps mine for emphasis)
While women are free to preach the gospel and share their faith, the command was to ordain “husbands” to lead in God’s church.

I will guess that you are male, though I do know that there are women also that feel this way.
So, with the idea that you are male I ask you some questions. Are you an ordained pastor? Are you a pastor?
If you feel that women should not pastor, then are you stepping up and filling the place you feel should be only for men?
When we're in war, ALL are called to fight the battle. If we want to win the war, all are called to the 'Priesthood of ALL believers'.
When water is threatening to spill from a dam, ALL are called into service. When a fire is threatening to overwhelm a town, All are called into service. When we are trying to save erring souls from eternal death, ALL ARE CALLED INTO SERVICE.
So, especially since so many men are by-standers, God has called women into His service. He called two separate men to be a prophet for him and they declined the invitation...then He called a weak, sickly teenage girl, and this church was founded on what God revealed through her. Do not limit our God. He is able to use the 'weaker vessel' just as much (and often more so, because they know they must rely on Him because of that) to get the message out.
Look at China! The largest church there is founded, cared for and God has blessed a Woman Pastor. There would be no church there if a woman had not stepped up and said 'Lord, here am I'.
Headship? That's nothing more than male pride! Look where pride got Lucifer. Look where it got Peter, the disciples...God has nothing to do with pride. As for ordination, NO ONE should be ordained that is looking for it, seeking it. It is a prayer over someone that has been recognized by mankind to have been 'Ordained of God' as evidenced by their life and the fruit thereof.
Lord, forgive us, help us to recognize Your Spirit in male, female, boy, girl...and not hinder their efforts to finish the work so You can bring us home!

You have to prove your point by using the Bible. As far as the Bible is concerned Jezebel was the only woman to serve in the capacity of "High Priest" (This is true for the old and new testiment), and she had to usurp the office to do so. As an example Deborah the prophetess was the head of the country, as Judge. She was in a position to force her will and become High Priest but she didn't. Athaliah was qeen of Israel, and was a wicked woman, but even she did not usurp the office of High Priest. Ellen White was offered pastorship and turned it down. And, the Bible is full of strong women who fullfilled God's will, and none of them served or even asked to serve as High Priest ie pastor, even in a time when it would have been popular to do so... Paul himself was brought up in a society that accepted female high priest as the normal... So the question is why did he, and the early church, go against what would have been normal tradition at that time? Might it have someting to do with the Biblical order of things? I have always supported woman's rights in everything, with two exceptions this issue and abortion, and both on bible grounds. For me, if it were just a matter of politics or culture, or society, I would say go ahead and let women be ordained pastors but this is not a matter of custome opinion(my oppion or anyone else), tradition or anything else or even my position in church; however it is a matter of what the Bible says.

The Bible in no way says we should ordain women. The Bible in no ways says we should not.
As Jesus told the disciples who complained about a man casting out devils who 'wasn't with them', he who is not against us is for us.
Mar 9:38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
Mar 9:39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
Mar 9:40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
In Genesis, we are told that Adam and Eve were equal partners before sin.
In the New Testament, we are called to the 'priesthood of all believers'. The Seventh-day Adventist Church has historically been trying to restore all back to the position that God placed us in from the beginning. Did you see that 'priesthood of all believers'?
1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1Pe 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
      Fundamental Beliefs:
      Creation #6
God has revealed in Scripture the authentic and historical account of His creative activity. He created the universe, and in a
recent six-day creation the Lord made “the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them” and rested on the seventh
day. Thus He established the Sabbath as a perpetual memorial of the work He performed and completed during six literal
days that together with the Sabbath constituted the same unit of time that we call a week today. The first man and woman
were made in the image of God as the crowning work of Creation, given dominion over the world, and charged with
      responsibility to care for it. When the world was finished it was “very good,” declaring the glory of God. (Gen. 1-2; 5; 11;
      Exod. 20:8-11; Ps. 19:1-6; 33:6, 9; 104; Isa. 45:12, 18; Acts 17:24; Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:2; 11:3; Rev. 10:6; 14:7.)
      The Nature of Humanity #7
Man and woman were made in the image of God with individuality, the power and freedom to think and to do. Though
created free beings, each is an indivisible unity of body, mind, and spirit, dependent upon God for life and breath and all
else. When our first parents disobeyed God, they denied their dependence upon Him and fell from their high position. The
image of God in them was marred and they became subject to death. Their descendants share this fallen nature and its consequences.
They are born with weaknesses and tendencies to evil. But God in Christ reconciled the world to Himself and
by His Spirit restores in penitent mortals the image of their Maker. Created for the glory of God, they are called to love Him
      and one another, and to care for their environment. (Gen. 1:26-28; 2:7, 15; 3; Ps. 8:4-8; 51:5, 10; 58:3; Jer. 17:9; Acts 17:24-28;
      Rom. 5:12-17; 2 Cor. 5:19, 20; Eph. 2:3; 1 Thess. 5:23; 1 John 3:4; 4:7, 8, 11, 20.)
The Remnant and Its Mission #13
The universal church is composed of all who truly believe in Christ, but in the last days, a time of widespread apostasy, a
remnant has been called out to keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. This remnant announces the arrival
of the judgment hour, proclaims salvation through Christ, and heralds the approach of His second advent. This proclamation
is symbolized by the three angels of Revelation 14; it coincides with the work of judgment in heaven and results in a work
      of repentance and reform on earth. Every believer is called to have a personal part in this worldwide witness. (Dan. 7:9-14;
      Isa. 1:9; 11:11; Jer. 23:3; Mic. 2:12; 2 Cor. 5:10; 1 Peter 1:16-19; 4:17; 2 Peter 3:10-14; Jude 3, 14; Rev. 12:17; 14:6-12; 18:1-4.)
Unity in the Body of Christ #14
The church is one body with many members, called from every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. In Christ we are a new
creation; distinctions of race, culture, learning, and nationality, and differences between high and low, rich and poor, male
and female, must not be divisive among us. We are all equal in Christ, who by one Spirit has bonded us into one fellowship
with Him and with one another; we are to serve and be served without partiality or reservation. Through the revelation of
Jesus Christ in the Scriptures we share the same faith and hope, and reach out in one witness to all. This unity has its source
in the oneness of the triune God, who has adopted us as His children. (Ps. 133:1; Matt. 28:19, 20; John 17:20-23; Acts 17:26,
      27; Rom. 12:4, 5; 1 Cor. 12:12-14; 2 Cor. 5:16, 17; Gal. 3:27-29; Eph. 2:13-16; 4:3-6, 11-16; Col. 3:10-15.)
      Spiritual Gifts and Ministries #17
God bestows upon all members of His church in every age spiritual gifts that each member is to employ in loving ministry
for the common good of the church and of humanity. Given by the agency of the Holy Spirit, who apportions to each
member as He wills, the gifts provide all abilities and ministries needed by the church to fulfill its divinely ordained functions.
According to the Scriptures, these gifts include such ministries as faith, healing, prophecy, proclamation, teaching, administration,
reconciliation, compassion, and self-sacrificing service and charity for the help and encouragement of people.
Some members are called of God and endowed by the Spirit for functions recognized by the church in pastoral, evangelistic,
and teaching ministries particularly needed to equip the members for service, to build up the church to spiritual maturity,
and to foster unity of the faith and knowledge of God. When members employ these spiritual gifts as faithful stewards
of God’s varied grace, the church is protected from the destructive influence of false doctrine, grows with a growth that is
      from God, and is built up in faith and love. (Acts 6:1-7; Rom. 12:4-8; 1 Cor. 12:7-11, 27, 28; Eph. 4:8, 11-16; 1 Tim. 3:1-13; 1
      Peter 4:10, 11.)
      Stewardship #21
We are God’s stewards, entrusted by Him with time and opportunities, abilities and possessions, and the blessings of the
earth and its resources. We are responsible to Him for their proper use. We acknowledge God’s ownership by faithful service
to Him and our fellow human beings, and by returning tithe and giving offerings for the proclamation of His gospel
and the support and growth of His church. Stewardship is a privilege given to us by God for nurture in love and the victory
over selfishness and covetousness. Stewards rejoice in the blessings that come to others as a result of their faithfulness.
      (Gen. 1:26-28; 2:15; 1 Chron. 29:14; Haggai 1:3-11; Mal. 3:8-12; Matt. 23:23; Rom. 15:26, 27; 1 Cor. 9:9-14; 2 Cor. 8:1-15; 9:7.)
These specific fundamental beliefs state there is NO male or female in God's economy. Therefore, to state that men can be ordained and women not is in my humble opinion, heresy against God who calls us all into service.
It is as biblical for a woman to be 'ordained' as it is for a man. Ordination is NOTHING more than mankind saying 'we see God has called you into service for him and we affirm that calling'. There is no hierarchy in the Adventist Church. That policy is Roman Catholic. We have no pope. We have lifted the clergy into something God never intended. The clergy are to be servant leaders, sharing Jesus.
God has called all into service. He called Ellen White, and she was listed as an ordained pastor. She herself stated God ordained her. She had no need for man's ordination, God himself had done so (though there are certificates that state she was ordained as well)
So sir, the Bible is silent on the subject as far as ordination goes, yet it calls women into the priesthood of all believers. Therefore it is just and right and proper for mankind to recognize those whom God has called into his service. And because the country we live in REQUIRES ordination for work in places such as prison ministries, absolutely we should be ordaining women pastors. God bless!

The preacher is doctrinally wrong. The teaching sounds good but is inaccurate.
Pastoral headship whilst it is listed as a spiritual gift in Ephesians 4 is further qualified and "explicitly" identified as a gift the Holy Spirit designates for men, not women. A Bishop is a man who if married has 1 wife, has his children subjected to him and leads his household (1Tim3). In Acts, where ordination is initiated in the apostolic church, only men are considered(Acts6).
More directly, in 1Cor 11, after talking abt gifts given by the Holy Spirit as He wills, God explicitly reminds us that the head of the woman is the man, and the head of the man Christ. Therefore, it is clear that despite the gifting of gifts, or whilst gifting gifts to whom he wills, the Holy Spirit still maintains the structural order in the home family and the church family which derives from the home.
If we are going to be true to the scritures let us be comprehensively true through and through.
The prophet of God to the church EGW as gifted as she was, never sought ordination to pastoral ministry. Why? Because she did not desire an office she knew God designated for a man. She did not conflate the 2.
The headship role is significant bcus of it spiritual symbolism, which is not a casual thing for God, but representative or reflective, as he said, of the greater spiritial reality of Christ's headship of His church. This is why every apostate church begins their slide into eschatological perdition with their irreverent dismissal of the spiritual principles and explicit directives of scripture on the issue of women's ordination.
Let he that hath an ear hear.

@@RomanPaganChurch I think that might be a misrepresentation. The bible states that elders (or church leaders) that are to be ordained are subject to certain conditions, one being "...husband to one wife..." 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1. Seeing as a woman can never be a husband to a wife (according to God, see Galatians 5), they can never be elders (or church leaders). Preaching a message is something different, you need not be a church leader to preach the Gospel. You need not have a theological degree tell people Chist is the way the truth and the life. God never said only men may preach the Gospel, was not the women the first to preach Christ risen (being human)? (See Luke 24:6-12). There's also Deborah (Judges 4), who was a prophetess to the Israelites, she was not a priest yet God used her as His mouth piece. Then we have Ellen White, she was not in a leader position in the church, yet she preached sermons (those can be found online). In conclusion, women are not ordained to be elders (or leaders) in the church body. Because of the clear structure God gave, Christ is the head of the church, the head of every man is Christ and head of every woman is man (this is according to the church body structure 1 Corinthians 11:3). Sometimes we tend incorrectly define the word ordination, to be ordained is to be selected whether it be for church office, position of earthly authority or to spread the word (Romans 13:1, John 15:15, 1 Tim 2:6-7) or even to be ordained to eternal life (Romans 7:10). I hope this was helpful, God bless.

God will use anything and anyone, it's that simple, and Paul was giving guidance on church structure, not creating new moral sins to avoid.

@@RomanPaganChurch yes I agree that Paul was explaining the structure for the church body, I think I mentioned this in my explanation (just didn't directly say it). We also need to bear in mind that when Paul wrote those letters, he was doing so under guidance of the Holy Spirit 2 Peter 1:19-21. So Paul was giving the structure of the church God gave (just like when Moses got instructions form God about how to go about the worship and temple services, Moses didn't give his own idea he merely gave the instructions God gave him), Paul wasn't giving his own idea of the structure for the church (if he did it would be adding to the Word Deur 4:2 and Rev 22:18-19). If the letters Paul wrote were not given by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, then it shouldn't be part of the bible canon (because it wouldn't be inspired by God, Paul himself mentions this 2 Tim 3:16-17). That's why I mentioned that women can not be elders in a church body, yes they have their roles. Being an elder in Gods' church is unfortunately not one of them, this can be found in Leviticus on the temple services. This does not disqualify them from preaching from the pulpit, as I have already mentioned in my previous post other than only preaching bible truth, there's no conditions set forth that states the person needs to be a man standing at the pulpit. Think you also mentioned the stones and donkey that God used or will use, perfect example.

The opposition to women being ordained to the ministry pivots on the false parallel between the Christian Ministry and the Levitical Priesthood. We’ll do well to remember that the order of Melchizedek is not compatible with and hence replaced the Levitical order. The Sanctuary doctrine puts a nail on this question: The Christian Minister is not like the Levitical Priest, rather, they are servants who wash feet just as Jesus and Mary did.
Of Mary’s feet washing ministry: Mark 14:6,9 NKJV
[6] But Jesus said, "Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for Me. [9] Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her."
Clearly, like her Lord this woman was a servant of servants. Properly understood, ordination confirms ministry/servanthood and not headship -this lesson the male disciples did not learn until after ascension. But the women got it right earlier.
“In proportion as these ideas gained ground, the distinction between clergy and people became more marked. The salvation of souls no longer depended solely on faith in Christ, but also, and more especially, on union with the Church. The representatives and heads of the Church obtained a part of the confidence due only to Jesus Christ, and in fact became mediators for the flock. The idea of the universal priesthood of Christians accordingly disappeared step by step; the servants of the Church of Christ were likened to the priests under the Old Dispensation; and those who separated from the bishop were put in the same class with Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.” J. H. M. D'AUBIGNÉ. History of the Reformation in the Sixteenth Century, book 1, page 11.
No wonder the Roman Church is vehemently opposed to ordination of women to their priesthood without even asking if the Spirit has qualified a particular person or not. Their position is at least consistent, if erroneous. What’s our excuse, seeing as we have not a priesthood but a ministry of reconciliation?

Very faulty reasoning, bereft of scripture. Start with creation, who was created first? Who gave names to all the animals? Who gave name to the woman? Who did God call when he visited after they had sinned! Why was Christ called “the second Adam”? Who is the second Eve? Why were the consequences of their disobedience different ? Why was the man to rule over the woman? Who was the first to sin? Who was deceived? Who had the conversation with Satan. This is the reason that Paul gave for his comands regarding women taking leadersip over the man, it’s not about preaching , it’s about the role of the shepherd/pastor, assigned to the man, he was to be the leader and protector both in his home and in the church, dealing with false teaching in the church etc. 1 Timothy2.12-15

Unless you are willing to accept two lesbians living together and call it a "marriage," there is no way for a woman to be "the husband of one wife."

The question of woman's preaching can be settle one way : Take sides.. If you adhere to the Pauline Doctrines, woman do not preach. if you follow Christ, woman do preach. so, what dissension are we in? If Paul, Jesus message is less important than Paul. If Christ, the Bible says....The sheep knows my Voice!

There is no Pauline doctrine and Christ doctrine, the Holy Spirit spoke through Paul, so are you saying the Holy Spirit has one doctrine and Christ has another?

Women must be ordained as Pastors to get paid equally as we men get paid PERIOD! STOP THE HIPOCRISY NOW! Ordination of women is about whether men see it fit to stop cheating women or not for if God can use women as PROPHETS why can He use them mightily for a job based of one's CHOICE( DESIRE)? God have mercy on SDA males Pastors! This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

Eve had been perfectly happy by her husband's side in her Eden home; but, like restless modern Eves, she was flattered with the hope of entering a higher sphere than that which God had assigned her. In attempting to rise above her original position, she fell far below it. A similar result will be reached by all who are unwilling to take up cheerfully their life duties in accordance with God's plan. In their efforts to reach positions for which He has not fitted them, many are leaving vacant the place where they might be a blessing. In their desire for a higher sphere, many have sacrificed true womanly dignity and nobility of character, and have left undone the very work that Heaven appointed them. PP 59.1

Real funny😂; some SDA have real problems with a woman being ordained to ministry. However , no problem with a woman EG White correcting the man (minister) from GC to your small company (church). Which office is greater ? Her writings are unquestionably the church’s greatest asset together with the scriptures and we are comfortable saying that God gave the vision to two MEN before her and they both refused….then ,he gave it to a WOMAN…think about it 🤔❤.
