I'm excited for your new Livestream idea Colin...and I don't even follow basketball maybe I'll learn something. Haha. Have an awesome reading month. -Cheers
Oooh Books and Basketball sounds like a blast, I am going to tune in for sure! Glad to hear that you had a better reading month. And yes, a mediocre Hobb book is still leaps and bounds better than your average fantasy book, lol. Hope you enjoy the rest of the Rainwilds, I think book 3 and 4 are particularly strong! My standouts in November were The Horns of Grief and The Crescent Moon both by EJ Doble, Spark of the Divine by Louise Holland, The Vanished Birds by Simon Jimenez and Murder at Spindle Manor by Morgan Stang! Happy reading 🥰
Understandable that the more YA feel of Dragon Keeper would place it below the others for you - I’m pretty surprised at how strongly I connected to everything though from just about the start
I can't discern whether or not that actually is a reason it's lower than the other for me, or if it was just simply the not connecting to the characters. Nonetheless, I'm still excited to continue!
Great video Colin! I love the idea for your live series. I’m not a huge basketball fan, but I do enjoy it. I grew up in Utah during the reign of Stockton and Mailman Malone on the Jazz. Good times.
Oh man, what a fun era to grow up in! I wish I could've watched some of that era live, but I have watched plenty of it in videos and reruns. Thanks for watching, Chas! Hope to see you in the live chat!
Why not bring your passions together? With writing, my teachers and agent all have the same advice: write what you want to read. That applies to UA-cam - make the content you want to watch!!
Great livestream idea, will be interested to listen in though I know nothing about basketball so hope to learn something along the way! Also sounds like your reading slump is now a distant memory. Some great reads
In November I read 7 books: The Year of the Witching Fourth Wing All That Matters Bury Your Dead The Unfortunate Side Effects of Heartbreak and Magic Murder at Haven's Rock The Only Good Indians Not sure I can pick a favourite, but the top 3 would be The Year of the Witching, Fourth Wing, and Bury Your Dead.
What a productive month! I just had a buddy ask me about Fourth Wing a couple hours ago. I haven't read it, but I told him it has been very popular in this corner of booktube recently (he is not a consumer of booktube) so he just heard about it. Glad you had such a productive month and enjoyed your reads. Thanks for watching, Morgan!
Rainwild Chronicles sounds divisive at best haha In November I read: *Classic* The Yellow Wallpaper / Charlotte Perkins Gilman *Fantasy* Kithamar 2: Blade of Dream - Abraham's one of the Goats of Modern Fantasy imo Witness 1: The God is Not Willing - Not my favourite Malazan book so far. Most of the newer characters took a long time for me to latch onto and i didn't realise a certain aspect about a character i wasn't jiving with at all until I watched an interview with Steven Erikson and already I'm appreciating that character more on now knowing that. I was under the weather while reading the last half so that didn't help. *Sci-Fi* Flowers for Algernon / Daniel Keyes - If it wasn't for Wall of Storms, this would be my book of the month. *Silkpunk* Dandelion Dynasty 2: Wall of Storms - Book of The Month and one of my favourites of the year! I'm currently reading: *Classic* The Three Musketeers / Alexandre Dumas *Fantasy* Liveship Traders 1: Ship of Magic Wars of Light & Shadow 1: Curse of the Mistwraith
It sounds like I need to get my hands on some Abraham, and Flowers for Algernon! I do plan on reading Dandelion Dynasty at some point, but I'm waiting to finish some of the long series I'm currently reading until I pick up another one. I hope you enjoy Liveship Traders! I thought it was some of the best character work I have ever read. You killed it this month, Rogue!
Clause-trophobic 😄😄 I'm surprised I didn’t get that. I can't say that I follow pro basketball...bummer. But I got some relatives in the business, tho. Jim Lynam, my 2nd cousin used to coach and GM the Sixers once upon a time. And his daughter, Dei Lynam is a basketball analyst. She's on TV sometimes
Oh wow, that's really cool that you have family members that close to basketball! And just for the record, this won't all be about NBA! If I have a guest that is into college, or even an overseas league, I'm here to talk about it with them!

Thanks, Christopher! I promise there will be a lot for fans of both books and basketball!

Yeah baby! It’s going to be so much fun!
Sounds like a great month of reading. Definitely a cool and unique idea for a live show series!
It was a great reading month, thanks for watching, Derek!

How cool for you to try something new! I am intrigued to see how it goes. Good luck man!🙂
Thanks, hope to see you in the live chat!

Can’t wait for some books and basketball!! Based off of your recommendation, I’ll probably read my heart is a chainsaw at some point!
Hope to see you in the live chat! And awesome, if you're a fan of the horror genre in general I think you'll really enjoy it!
I’m still so happy you started SGJ. I’m not all that into basketball but I will definitely check out the show (depending on if/when I’m live)!
There we be plenty for both book fans and basketball fans, don’t worry!
Books and Basketball is great! Look forward to seeing these chats!
I’m so excited! Are you a basketball fan?
Nope 😂I'll watch it but not regularly!@@ColinsCornerYT
Book and Buckets!!! Lets goooooooo!!!
I'll see you there tomorrow my man!
Great idea on books and basketball! Sounds like a fun idea. Keep doing what you love
Thanks, Nate! And congrats on hitting 100 subs!
You sold me on The Sun Down Motel. I just got the audiobook and I'm looking forward to it.
Alright! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it, Mike!
Looking forward to the chats!
Hope to see you there! Thanks for watching, Tom!
I've never been a basketball guy. But I love me some books. I might drop in. Keep up the good work Colin!
Thanks man, hope to see you!

That's fantastic advice for creation of any kind it seems! I'm really excited to give it a go!

Thank you man, the first show was blast!! And I’m 100% out of my slump now and it feels great!
@@ColinsCornerYT ooh I will have to catch the replay! 👍🏻
Unfortunately, I’m not a big sports guy BUT I’ll absolutely listen to y’all chat about pretty much anything lol
There will be plenty of discussion for fans of both books and basketball, don't worry!

You killed it this month, Rogue!
Nice - sounds like a lot of fun! Too bad it's not Books and Baseball, though LOL
I used to follow baseball fairly closely, but as a Pirate fan they make it so difficult to care 😅
I'm a diehard Guardians fan. So I'm just glad you're not a Cubs fan!
Clause-trophobic 😄😄 I'm surprised I didn’t get that.

Celtics all the way!! 😁
Oh man...not the Celtics!
I sooo wanted to love My Heart Is A Chainsaw but unfortunately it didn’t work at all for me 😩 Is the sequel as niche in its Slasher knowledge?
It actually is toned down some which I was okay with!
@@ColinsCornerYT oh I like the sound of that!
