Upskilling not only takes time but far, far more importantly it is often very expensive and most people aren't entitled to any financial help as its seen as a 'choice'. The country is in an absolute mess.

@@zuzanazuscinova5209 Regardless if that be true or not... A government is tasked with management of the economy and the country.. The government has in its gift to print money via the bank of England and control inflation.. Households do not. This crisis is a total government failure of epic proportions and are entirely to blame, they are using the pandemic and Ukraine to deflect blame but the cost of living crisis was evident long before then.. No.. This government is stealing your money via inflation and starving and robbing those with the least to cope..

Inflation is when more money chases less products and services.
Now that they printed the money over the pandemic, they just need to figure out a way to print food and energy.

No that's not the reason it's because they kicked out Eastern European workers by voting brexit now there isn't enough people to do the job as a result there is less productivity and as a result there is less food thus there is more money chasing after too few food

Personal Security will be important during the forthcoming Starvation in the UK. As the supply chains and Electrical Grids become intermittent, crime and social disorder will become a real safety threat. Having battery powered Night Vision monocular or Rifle Scope NV add on will be useful for security and gaurd patrols.

Agreed. This is always the case throughout history.
What? suddenly the path most travelled in history will be avoided "this time"... I think not. Be a good idea to start considering a secure supply of essential goods and get to know your neighbours... (i cannot stress enough how important it is under these circumstances, to know who is coming and going and should and shouldnt be there. This can quickly lead to othering and similar problems but a good neighbourhood watch is a valuable thing when people start robbing each other for food.

There is not low unemployed , the figures get moved about ,
    Our population is growing
A large percentage of working families get working tax credit to boost there salary
Why dont we have statistics on how much housing benifit is spent each year
This is all about talking rubbish to keep your jobs secure , if the truth was spoken , half the goverment jobs would be axed
Get rid of counselors ,mayors ,
For a start, the housing director talks to the counselor
Tge counselor talks to the housing minister
The housing minister sits and talks to the imergration minister
So why have we got a housing crisis yet more and more people are let into this country ,then put up in hotels
There is your crises cost , £80 to £150 per person in a hotel
Goverment waist ,sorry throw away money like water
Today how many people are going on a bus trip because they cant afford to stay indoors abd keep warm and watch tv
But ministers can sit around talking about buy 1 get 1 green at the local supermarket

The question at 17:00 re cooking/budgeting is right. Processed food/ready-made meals, preserved food, etc are much more expensive than cooking fresh food.
However, it’s also true that some don’t have enough money overall. But no matter how much help people get, they have to also do something for themselves and cooking fresh food is one example.

The Government could not give each person on Universal Credit £100 extra per 4 weeks as suggested previously it's ridiculous. Everything is about U.C. There are others who are poor yet have to manage. The thing is its always down to the taxpayer to fund all this, so tax is going to increase. I wonder how many people who are unemployed have a car yet maintain they can't heat and eat. A question of priorities perhaps?

Without which the economy would fail and we would all starve.
They then in turn, repay us for our all our hard work with huge profits ' taxes ' and vat charges.
    Then we're all Skint !
    Great system .
Freedom and democracy is amazing. Essential living should be profit free period. Its disgusting ' Profit can not be sustained by this Planet. We need to work together ❤️ and change. Its not a cost of living crisis ' Its a way of living crisis. We can do so much better. We just need to except change and not huge profits. Profits based on which are essentially Extortion. Woah, the funny thing is that Tories party ignores poverty in the UK, instead sending 8 years worth of weapons production to Ukraine and sanctions Russia and China that used to provide UK with food, heat, frutilizers etc. Johnson doesn't care about UK. In addition we se rise in prices for car petrolium despite the fact that they've decided to tap UK emergency reserves. Imagine what's going to happen when UK runs out of those reserves.
My bill in London, sw7(south ken) went up 3 times!!! Its insane! Food prices are up, all prices are pretty much up.
We must lift sanctions against Russia and China and try to recover the economy. There is clearly no other choice.
