I have both these earbuds and they have their ups and downs. The P40i do sound better and have longer battery life, however the odd shaped nozzle makes finding 3rd party tips quite a pain. (I have odd shaped ears and need something like Spinfit to work) The only Spinfit tips I found that work with the P40i are the CP155, a long narrow tip that does fit in my ears, but the Soundcore app can't get a good seal and that can affect the ANC/transparency modes. (They do function just fine in my experience)
And I thought I'd try the P30i as they look like relatively normal earbuds. (Without the odd shaped ear nozzle I mean) Sadly the audio quality isn't as good as the P40i or any of Anker's earbuds. Now they're fine for $30 and the amount of features they have is impressive, but I notice a slight tinny sound to them for certain songs.
I'd go with the P40i since they both sound better and have longer battery life. Only go with the P30i if using 3rd party eartips are important to you as they have a normal cylindrical shaped nozzle.
Thanks so much for this informative review. I didn't know anker had these features in the app. Got my first set of earbuds from them the p30i and this helps me enjoy them even more!
Amazing video man thanks !
I have Life Note C, A20i, P20i, & P40i. Soundcore are my fav buds. The most comfy to me. Plus i hot a great deals on all these.
I've been using the liberty 4 pro and c30i mainly. When the c40i releases I want those
Good review as usual. I got my hand on 2 EarFun earbuds. They are 2nd behind soundcore.
I'm going to start reviewing more of that brand next after I get over sickness
@ianwest1624 earfun wise I have free pro 3, air pro 3 and air s. I thinking about getting the air 2 nc but there only on the website.
Ian- I have improved the Bluetooth volume on my OnePlus 12R. Checking my battery settings I found that the High Performance mode was off. Turning it on has increase loudness and fullness of the sound. I was having issues with the Soundpeats GoFree 2 in particular. They are a notoriously loudness challenged open ear set and the difference now is substantial. I have taken them out of retirement after really enjoying their clean crisp sound this AM. Check your sound settings maybe it was off by default. Take care and fell better.
Thank you for sharing! I appreciate your video! I'm currently trying to decide between the two! I'm still in three middle of watching your video, though... but which one would you ultimately go with??
P40i overall had better and louder sound so that's the best headset out of the 2. Price is the only factor honestly
Great review…
thanks
I have Q45s, P20i, P2 Mini and P40i😊😊😊
I miss my q45s, I have the space one at the moment
gaming mode is for lowering the latency
Yes, I find a lot of reviewers who don't get this right. Latency is important not only for games but any video
11:10 - On the adaptive ANC do you scroll or tap on weak , strong vise versa because nothing happens when I click on that
Feel Better
Ummm..... it's pretty clear that the mic test section of your review has an inaccuracy. The audio in your video is not coming from the headphones, it's coming from your phone microphone. When you pull the earbud out of your ear, the audio quality does not change at all. But it should, because you're relocating the position of the mic. The camera app that you used to record this video, may have a setting to allow you to select your audio source. By default most apps always use the phones built in mics and will not use a Bluetooth source.
I started using a different app that uses the actual voice of the product. This is a mistake and it's been corrected with other videos.
Ummmmmmm....... okay thanks for the advice or possible correction...not sure what the ummm was for, but... okay... 🤨
@ianwest1624 "ummmmmmmmm" (🙄🙄🙄) lolol thanks for owning it and carrying on! I appreciate your video!
