I'm not a Hybrid/PHEV fan, so I went for the petrol (gas, I live in the U.S.) one. Just love it! Being a 74-year-old man, I find the 187-horsies/179-ft-pounder more than adequate! I've achieved 36.8 mpg on the highway; 28 mpg average. Great! Keep up the great work!
I’ve had a two Nissan Qashqai N-tec and I currently have a Kia Sportage 2. I’ve ordered the Sportage 3 in splash lemon. The boot space is much better on the Sportage and leg room. I just hope it comes earlier than October, November. I can keep track of where my order is 🤞🏽🙏🏽
I picked up my Kia Sportage GT Line S Self Charging 2WD 3 weeks ago (March'2022), and it is great. One major issue is the Adaptive Cruise Control, it gets confused with parked cars and while turning around an island in the middle of the road, if there is a car parked on the left after it, it get confused and performs a hard brake, to avoid a crash, in its view. Very frustrating.
Have not driven one yet but it certainly looks impressive. You mention in your review that the 6-speed automatic gearbox can get a little noisy when under firm acceleration. You need to drive the Toyota Rav 4 or Honda CRV hybrids both fitted with CVT transmision because their respective noise levels when under firm acceleration are " horrendous"!!!!.....good review though.
The problem with Lane Assist around country lanes and in towns in the UK is not necessarily down to the system, but more down to the state of the road markings in the UK. My Tiguan has Lane Assist, which works admirably on motorways and most dual carriageways, but struggles in town and country as the lane markings are usually very feint or non existent, and that’s what the front camera relies on for the system to work properly. That is the main reason I tend to restrict it’s use where the markings are more pronounced. I’ll be able to see how good the system is in the Sportage when the GT-Line S 2wd Hybrid model I’ve ordered arrives (soon I hope).
Having tested a number of SUVs of this size we opted for this Sportage in GT Sport mild petrol hybrid form which comes in under the all important £40k. Key aspects of our decision were reliability ( better than German and definitely French competition) , the superb infotainment system and ( hardly mentioned in this video) the exceptional light and airiness from the huge panoramic double sunroof. The All Wheel Drive is useful if you live in a hilly district as we do but the full advantage is only obtained if you swap the tyres for All Weather, as we are doing. Amazing that car manufacturers (not just Kia) sell AWD cars with summer tyres. The 7 year warranty was another reason we chose this car. A no brainier for the private motorist.
Better than Quashqai? Well Kia certainly has a better reliability and customer satisfaction record, along with a far superior warranty. Kia was the most registered/best selling brand in the UK in January.....
i've just ordered a new kia sportage gt line luxury - 1.6T GDi Hybrid Self Charging in Metalic Deluxe White & Pearl Black. Can't wait got all the kit on it and expect in around early September.
I viewed a gt line S and I'm bamboozled why the badging on the front grill and boot lid hasn't now got gt line "s",so it just looks like a gt line..very odd
Ev6 gt spec £56,000 basic one 4got its name life ? 45 grand. This top spec kia sportage gt think GT S line 42 grand i getting the 1.6 48v t gdi 3 28 grand to buy by time added extra deliver its just over 32 grand .most expensive car I've ever brought was £3500 seat ibiza 🙃 😅 mostly drove cars from 200 quid to a grand 🙄🤣
I thought the same until i seen them both in person, much more space in the shortage, top spec for the same price of starting spec of EV6. I've ordered the Sportage hybrid gtline s 2 wheel drive. Cant wait to get it, my first new car too as usually buy cars that are a few years old
@@blossmctoss hello sportage not even in the same stable. EV6 & Ionic5 are premium products built from ground up as EVs. Sportage is sub Sorento and ICE vehicle. Different as nigjt/day. @@MrTengre sure, but in some countries it has become synonymous with the product, like people calling MP3 players iPods, even if they aren't made by Apple. You're absolutely right that DSG is technically the DCT developed by BorgWarner, but we all know what's meant by using the term.

Really annoying when presenters say "leave commnents" why? You never bloody answers questions about the product .
Awsome video clips i like the guy he know what he is talking about!

Ordered New Kia Sportage GT Line Hybird now waiting for delivery hoping to get one in April.
@YesAuto Great review. Which design do you prefer between Tucson and Sportage?
Why isn’t the Sportage offered with adaptive suspension in the UK like it is in Europe and other markets?
Simple more $$$s
It's prettier than the Korean version
Its not gt line its gt s line. Is difference . Check your research
Tuscon is prettier from outside while Sportage is better from inside

Miss leading letting people think this is the spec what the gt line comes. But its far from it about as standard as baseline spec

What MPG does the car do?
