The car does not have the wavy foot boot opening, however you can set the boot to open automatically when you stand close to the back of the car with the key in your pocket, and the car doesn’t park itself.
I've got a sportage and I sort of hate this feature. You can't walk behind the car without it starting to beep or even opens the trunk.. I really dislike this feature, it's a big no.
if the rear belt is banging it's because it wasn't installed correctly. Normally it should be inserted in a slot and I see it's hanging in the air. And this car can not park itself.. Overall really good review.
It doesnt have wireless CarPlay on the 12 inch screen cars regardless of any software upgrade which doesn’t exist - yet! It can be upgraded to with the lower trim 8 inch screen models - wierd I know. And as has been said already, it doesn’t have wave your foot boot opening. Research wiould be helpful before reviewing.
I had one of these on hire for 6 weeks - not my choice - I do not understand how anyone would go into a KIA dealership and think it was the car for them - it was a soulless joyless heap of junk
Question for KIA?: Why are Sportages designed so that the rear lights do NOT come on even when it is dusk / very dull / bad light / storm + rain weather or even almost dark? Every car has it's lights on (front and rear) in these conditions but Sportages NEVER do. It is such as bad design fault

To open the boot like that the car needs to be locked.
Which is a lot better also. Especially when carrying heavy items. Good job Kia!

That 3rd seatbelt clips in a slot when not in use, it stops it knocking.

I have the PHEV, the fuel consumption is terrible. It's good car but let down in several respects.

Can be fixed with a software update. Ask a garage to enable it .
