Something that has helped me recently is making my goal in dota something I have direct control over. So, if before my goal was to win, now I simply want to play for the sake of playing, have an open mind and remain calm. I can't control if my teammates are good, if they flame me or if we lose because of my own mistakes or others, but I can strive to control my reaction to those things and not let it dictate how I feel, and be content by the goals I've set out that are within my power to directly control. I think the first step in dealing with the gold tracker is to acknowledge that the number it displays isn't under your direct control so you should attempt to allow it to dictate your emotions, but i understand what you're going through and me simply telling you this won't make it any easier until you've gone through the painstaking process of challenging this habit every time it presents itself. TLDR: I feel better in Dota when I just play for fun and stay calm instead of obsessing over winning. I know I can't control everything, like my teammates or the in-game stats, so I challenge any stressful thoughts that come up instead of letting them take hold of me.
i think the mute team option is debatable. At least at lower mmrs, cause you can win a lot of game just through making simple calls, if peope are ob autopilot mode
As a pos5 team captain wannabe returning player who climbed from crusader to ancient in 1 month communication wins games. Everyone else here is either too good to know or just has never communicated well enough to notice how powerful someone taking the lead and communicating well is.
i had a question on farming near teammate... it looks like this really help if you are a core player... what about support? cause in my recent games i always got myself farming alone in another lane and suddenly fight just happen... i know it was my bad play but on the other hand i really need the gold for items like a dagger or shards... cause when i want to hit the camp near my teammates my core players will hit them first...
When you block oncomong chat do you still get the incoming.voice? If so would say this the way to go. Most toxic players only use chat. And most useful communication is through pings and voice. So you only need to manually mute to people who are toxic over mic
Unsubscribe? But then how can I spam the Crybaby voice line when my teammates complain how I lose a lane against a viper and grimstroke while my pos 5 went to gank mid at min 4?
First 2 are very iffy. I think for a lot of newer players they geuinely dont know if theyre well farmed or not. In obvious cases it can be a grief, but for the 'middle' games. Some people think theyre stronger/weaker than they are. Likewise for communication, blocking people from speaking to you and vice versa is asking for the team to be disjointed and uncoordinated i feel

If you have something showing you that you are losing then grow a pair and take it. Unsubscribe it's not a solution, it's the mentality of the player that has to change
when i sub to dota+ my mmr goes up +4000, when it expires i go back down to herald. different things for different people. i don't have time to look up guides and sometimes i'm playing with just one monitor. i need the information, and i know when i need to make a change, then i just reload the builds or buy the next item i know i need and reload, it works great. oh right, also I'm a randomer so I'd have to learn all heroes in the game which is why d+ is godtier.
The dota plus and mute advice wont help me get to 10k lol. They seem like much more personal issues. I dont look at the top left at all. I use dota plus to watch friends games live and a bunch of other features. As for the mute all, i just mute someone if theyre being toxic. I dont let people get to me. Still not 10k tho hahah
No incoming chat settings is just for toxic and coward dog not all the times teammates blatantly barking/flaming you, how if they want to tell something important

I don't think your two first tips are good. You'll miss valuable info like your networth and teammates ideas if you shut them down. You need to work on your temper and character if you cannot handle your emotions, not shut down things imo.
I think everyone is different. For my own experience its better just mute them and play. Don't bother with "I can handle this" mentality it just doesn't work most of the time. You can just get tilted and play horrible. Their command wouldn't really matter that much most of time. It's better to type in simple commands most of the time. Unless you have a pleasant voice and use of proper vocabulary then maybe its better for you to speak. But most of the time, I doubt that you have that. Probably only 10% of people I have played with has it.
@@marksun4292 I partially agree. Sometimes it's best not to try to handle toxicity and end up being dragged into it. But, he is saying that we need to block any incoming chat and that's where I disagree. Why assume that everyone will be toxic and distract you? I think if you find a couple of toxic elements, mute them, but not everyone. That's a sad way to play Dota IMO, and as I said you could miss valuable info along the way.

Is this a joke? The first 3 tops are all about how not to get tilted? The video should be retitled to that. And you say Pro teams don't talk very much and have natural synergy - yeah because they play with each other for weeks to months to reach that. What mmr range or style of player was this video targeting? Toxic and easily tilted crusader's?

Maybe dota plus needs an option to don't show the graph all the time. Similar to the hide bottom of the mission of the hero/clan

Your goal is never to win an individual game but to be better overaall. Those teammates won't be with you in future games

This is true for the dota plus, it makes my mmr go super low the time I subs to it. In game focus and awareness is much more needed.
