You are totally right. In England, people support politicians if they feel rightly or wrongly that they will create better policies that are of benefit to them. If this doesn't happen, those same supporters will vote for someone else in the next election. We vote for the benefit of ourselves and our communities, in Pakistan the public votes for the benefit of their pet politician, so the public is in service of the elected and not the elected being in service of the elector!

Isn't this not an insult to the honour & respect of 230 million pakistanis? Don't you think it qualifies for the insult to all the Pakistanis who had voted for him & who support him even today? Even if he had done some alleged corruption, did he deserve to be treated like as a citizen of Pakistan and ex-PM like that in the court premises to be dragged by collar & whisked away like a hard-core criminal! Was it not an insult to the constitution, laws & the courts of Pakistan? Any state or country exists because it runs according to some codes, rules, principles which is called constitution of that country. What can be the bigger insult to a state when you insult its constitution by not following it & insult the courts which are meant to uphold & protect that constitution. And what can be the bigger injustice & insult when you insult the universal constitution & principles of basic human rights & dignity of an individual!
All other things like masoleums, statues, etc are mere symbols of a state which deserve respect but when you don't respect the ones who are living, some living legends like Fatima Jinnah & many more, then showing your respect & love for statues & masoleums etc , just smells of fakeness, meanness & self-motivated interests.
When you don't respect the principles of the founding father of your nation, Quad-e-azam Ali Mohammad Jinnah, what bigger disrespect & tragedy can there be beyond that! What can be bigger tragedy & mockery of a nation, where few powerful generals assume themselves to be expert in economics, defence, civil administration, execution, judiciary, legislation, foreign policy & what not!
This is the biggest tragedy & mockery of a nation of 23 crore people who are hardworking, talented, but a majority of them systematically being kept less privileged or under privileged by denying them basic human rights like right to dignified life, right to food,good education, health care !
