Watching these I am reminded of my apprenticeship days, 45 years ago . We had to wash down these big diesel engines before they were allowed into the workshop .This was carried out on a wash pad which had a drain connected straight to the sewer. to get them clean we mopped on a chemical made from coal oil called Tergosol. Brilliant stuff ,you could even wash your hands in it .After 30 odd years of engine cleaning ,the drain got blocked so a drain cleaner was hired to unblock it. If Ollie thinks cement slurry is bad, this tergosol and oil mixture ran for hundreds of feet in the sewer and was like a thick jelly . The poor contractors jet refused to move it , so they blocked the drain and made a new one...That was the first time I had seen a jet unblocker .

If you’re not careful Ollie I believe Ratty is scheming to take over the business. He sits there very quietly taking everything in and learning all the tricks of the trade. On another note have you ever considered doing a live stream? We’d have a blast! Bravo Ollie and happy thanksgiving to everyone in the states.
Hi my name is Raymond and I'm an addict. It started out I was in control and only watched the newest video every few days. Then it grew to watching one everyday. I let my guard down and suddenly I was binge-watching all the videos. Sometimes I'd stay up for days just watching clogged drains. I'd forget to eat and sleep I just wanted to watch clogged drains become open and free flowing. I'm currently in the process of selling off my personal items for a ticket from Louisiana to Australia so I can hopefully watch drains being opened live and in person. I think I might need an intervention!! HELP ME RATTY!! Oh and it's 3:12am here in New Orleans!!!! LOL
You got to have one heck of a sense of humor to have the job that you do. My late husband used to be a plumber and the stories he used to tell me,oh my. 😝😜
My brother does construction site management in San Diego and he was telling me about all the regulations (and fines) involved with storm water drains. Most lead straight to the ocean so having concrete chunks or slurry is bad. Many locals call the first rain the first flush for obvious reasons. They advise surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean for 24 hours after any rain.
Jeez Ollie,I'd give a carton of beer for the supervisors thoughts on the other side of the fence with DA and his camera hangin out his gob talking to Mr Ratty who's not suitable attired in proper PPE gear, sort of thinking you pair must be OH & S's worst nightmare come true
Don't worry, Ollie's been reported to the authorities for failing on 23 various charges including operating a vehicle with a minor sitting on the dash unrestrained, forcing a rodent minor into close proximity of effluent etc etc his licence is cooked.....
Woah...Double Barrel and Ratty on the job...and the Magpie tormenting you again Ollie! Keep on and be that drain cleaning superhero with your sidekick Ratty!
Love the concrete cutter Ollie.Small and mighty (or in my mind The Mighty Mite). The Foreman missed a treat but I suppose his interest in drains are not like ours!
When I caught the Botchit & Scarper patio layers next door washing their cement mixer out down the foul drain at the end of the day, the utility's contractor was round less than an hour after I reported it. They cleared it and gave the homeowner a stern warning about what would happen if it was repeated. A few days later the same thing happened...
@@Misha-dr9rh Fortunately what they put down second time was mostly water so no blockage needed clearing. No idea what the consequences if any there were for the neighbours.
Ollie Brother, please get a pad or some knee pads to cushion your knees. I’m 70 years old, and kneeled on a lot of hard surfaces during my life. Now it can become very painful to walk, at times. You’re too good of a person to be in pain, later in life! Love from the USA!
