I have been using Bare Knuckle juggernaut for over two years. Very articulate, full sounding and high output which is perfect for my tastes, I've been liking them so far.
Fantastic playing and tone. I know these pickups are intended for metal and hard rock, but I really like them for country, classic rock and blues. I have a set in a prs s2 standard and they sound fantastic. Coil splitting is really great on them, also.
I have a pair of Cold Sweats in my CT6 and absolutely love them. Though they don't sound like they do in this video. But as we know, every person and guitar sound different from one another. If I was building another guitar I'd put a pair of Cold Sweats in it. Great clarity, great attack, dynamic, and overall a wonderful RNR pickup.
The more heavy stuff 5:12 lol I liked the clean stuff, and mid-gain stuff as well. I’m not fan of the high gain stuff, but that’s just me. What pickups would you recommend for the Queens Lullabies era sound into my Epiphone Sheraton tho?
I would say that I've been able to get Qotsa tones with most pickups I've used. Maybe not single coils. But any humbuckers, really. I like the Lollar Imperials though!
The pickups are not dirty fingers, more likely 500t and 496r, they come stock in many explorer/ flying v models. The new pickups sound killer tho, cant go wrong with Bkp
In all honesty, I tried to do an AB, but there are so many factors to keep in mind. At a point, I think I messed up one small factor, and then I just couldn't share that as a proper AB between the two sets. And changing the pickups back and forth is a lot of work, so I figured it was best to just demo them the best I could.
Dirty Fingers have (and always had) a double line of adjustable pole pieces screws. Just by looking at the one you are holding, it is not a Dirty Finger pickup. Nice sound.
Always love your videos and this one is no exception, thanks for your continuous quality output! However, as to the sound of the pickups in that guitar - I'm not entirely convinced. Sounds too harsh and unmusical to my ears, but tastes are different :)
I wanted to play harder stuff lol 😂! I have an Ibanez Prestige RGR5221 with bare knuckle brute force pickups and they rock, was debating getting them vs emg pickups but up to now, I don’t regret the decision.
What you could have tried with the stock pickups: exchange the magnet of the Dirty Fingers for an AlNiCo 4. This sorts out the sound, making it less muddy, more open and dynamic. My experience.
Very punchy but these are a little thin sounding and sizzly for my liking. I like gibson's 57 classics (especially using the plus as a neck pickup with a some heavy metal based pickup in the bridge) but other than that I agree about their pickups as a brand.

We're really glad that you like them! Great demo too!
2:54 First time I've ever seen anyone play power chords on the neck pickup in a gear demo. Massive respect for you, Eirik.
Haha, had to for this type of video. Also the first time EVER I've been riffing with the both pickup position!
Explorer! 😍 Surprised by the cleans. Very nice and warm tones.
Yeah, you can get good cleans! I turned down the volume quite a lot for it to stay clean though
me too.. wonder how theyd suit an sg

I've been using a Cold Sweat in the neck position of one of my guitars since 2007 and it's still one of my favorite pickups in any guitar.
I'm a huge Metallica and Slayer fan and the 500T (i.e. stock pickups) are the perfect pickups for me hence no pickup will get me a better sound.
Congrats! I've picked up ragnarok recently, this brand never dissapoints
thanks!
The overdriven tones are magnificent !
This is a really good demo. Have you tried any other bare knuckle pickups?

First that Fender custom pro amp now theses, ya givin me the GAS 🤘🏽
Need to change links if it still says Fender Pro. This is the Tone King SkyKing!
@@LivingroomGearDemos no it was in a video a few months back. But yea a sky king would totally scratch that same itch.
Badass intro track. Good tones
thanks!
Great guitar with a great upgrade. Had same black Explorer few years ago and still miss it.
😢
These sound pretty 90s!
Pretty good ☺️
Introlåta er helt vill! Bra jobba!😮
Takker!

I have the Cold Sweat in my LP and it sound really great, but in your Explorer sound weird 🤔🤔
The video is great man! Question where did you get that strap?
Thanks! Ernie Ball strap 🤙🏻

Might be, but I'm thinking they were too high output for that.
@@LivingroomGearDemos 500t is the second highest output pickup gibson makes, only behind the dirty fingers
Great sound. Id love to hear an AB with original pickups.
My explorer has Gibson ceramic 500t. They do say Gibson on them.

Your right ABing is fraught with issues. Thanks for producing such great content 👍

Interesting. Really wonder what I bought it with then.
@@LivingroomGearDemos likely 500t and 496r
I wish they got you to test out all of their pickups.
haha, yea. That would be a lot of work.

are they active?
@@LivingroomGearDemos I believe the Brute Force are passive, they are from the non-custom series of BK pickups if I can remember correctly.
@@electricabyss3071 correct.
@@LivingroomGearDemos passive, but they’re a hotter, more aggressive pickup than the one in this video. More for modern shredding.
Are u keeping this guitar in E standard?
I've had it in E standard and E flat so far. I have 11's on it, so everything from D standard to E is fine.
heĺlyeah(hoping to an updated how to sound like mastodon)

Fun fact: I actually live not for from where Bare Knuckle Pickups is based, though you know, don't ask me where the factory is or anything.
play king gizzard planet b album gonna be superb!
On my list, sir!

Gain sounds are complete trash. Thanks for putting me off these pickups.
Check out other demos as well. I'm guessing that you're just not into my setup with pedals/amps.
