An informative video, and my knowledge of how to use the broad went up a great deal. A little to much discussion of how to make the boards, we all know how to make a grid I'm sure I learned it by 3rd grade. I liked the for shadowing of how the bent board can scrap samples and mess up accurate counts. Your method of using packing tape to capture examples of samples is brilliantly simple. Kudos!

I never knew there were so many things you could learn about the going's-on in a colony of honey bees just by looking at the IPM white board. Whitney's scientist perspective shows up here.
Regarding gridmarks on the whiteboard, I find it helpful to draw lines under the centers of the frames since the debris from the bees tends to fall in rows that correspond to the spaces between the frames. Then it is easy to count mites by moving my magnifying glass along the rows of debris.
