“He went from a warm light to a cool light and she went from a cool light to a warm light” this was SO interesting to me because my interpretation of the characters’ individual journey - without spoiling anything - is that Dexter needed to be humbled by life to become a better version of himself whereas Emma needed to gain confidence and self esteem to flourish into the person she wanted to be. Amazing directing. I never noticed that before. I hope you will react to more episodes!

The suggestion from Dex is bad but its also a protection, hes giving himself a way out incase she rejects him because Emma is very sharpe tongued and her
comments can sometimes be seen as a rejection. Her comment that she got over him because she got to know him really hurt him hence the tentative suggestions
FINALLY someone is seeing it the same way I do! There was a pretty long pause after he made that statement where she gave him nothing in return & only then did he make the 2nd statement. Sure I sounded harsh but I think ppl keep forgetting that she did the same thing to him just before at dinner. Neither statement from the two was believable imo…just protection as you said.
God episode 3 man. I loved it so much. Just seeing how depressed and bitter Emma was but also how she was scared and insecure to really start living hits a little too close to home. Especially the part of her being confused and a bit angry at other people's happiness. It feels wrong to admit but it's true and I'm glad they touched on that aspect of depression. That one and episode 7 are probably my favorite out of the series.
This show genuinely changed my views on life and love, I adore this show! So glad to see you watching it and can't wait to finish this rewatch with you!

It’s one the best series so far of 2024 💔❤️♥️ the first episodes are amazing especially 1,3 and 4 on of my favourites cause they finally alone even if Dec ruins everything at the end it’s for the best to come 😂🎉
