Bringing a buzz saw for mining is a waste of inventory space when you've mastered the following pickaxe mining technique: 1) turn off grav boots until you can get inside the asteroid 2) put face into exposed ore and hammer out a hole - stopping when you expose some crust on the inside 3) whack at the interior crust with the pointy end 4) use angular momentum to help push away the large chunk of crust you just broke off 5) hammer out the rest of the ore with ease Enjoy your extra 2 slots of inventory space ;)

Auction house takes 10% tax for all sellings and NPC price can be more valuable (Often with ice, Charodium, Exorium and cheap ores like Ajtatite) Also you can abuse it - but low-price ores on auction house and instantly sell it to NPC Also you can craft items thought SSC. Sometimes it is only way to get items that not craftable. Like memory relay
Tip: Exorium usually sells on the AH for a very similar or lower than the quick sell stations, I always dump it off at the ore tower so I get the money instantly. There might be more ores like this, but that's the one I know of.
The AH fluctuates all the time so it's worth checking when you sell to see where the better price can be found. Don't forget the 10% sell tax at the AH.
Nice set of tips! I only just started a week ago and after 2 modulus miners just stopping working, I'm in the process of building back up to a larger ship and have a question. Currently I have one of the laborer versions from the ship store and using a mining laser, just one for now and collector, my question is this, how can I make a script to pulse the laser so as to make the power usage last longer? I added an 8 battery pack to the module and so far, lasts a lot longer than the original 4, I think it was. I really like your content and hope to see more as you and we go along in the game. An excellent question, pro tip, if you go into vintage ship shops, inside the TriFin is several YOLOL chips (you will have to use test flight to access them) inside one of the chips is a script for laser pulsing! Best of luck! If you can’t figure it out I may make a video on the creation of such a script!

U realize the buzz saw uses expensive ammo? For something u can hit e and drag away or just smash and throw away periodically.... thats a stupid waste of tool ammo. 662kv nhurgite and 166 karnite. Nhurgite is fairly rare in safe zone and karate is zone 3 at least

So common ores are the asteroid shells Valkite and Ajatite ase well as ice, ores inside change depending on where you are in the belt. I will be covering this topic in another video. Nhurgite, Bastium, Vokarium, Ice, Charodium, pretty much anything in safe zone is common. Agesium, Exorium etc is rarer based on how deep into the belt you go the deeper the rarer.
This should be renamed Day 1 to 3 tips, most of this becomes outdated by Day 4 of playing as you are using mining lasers. Also, you can right click and add to market, please stop showing people to sell individuals it is bad for markets. Thanks, keep up the videos.

Would you mind doing a guide on how to find those crystals or other rare ore? I think I know how to do it but I'd rather see a youtube video first before I commit my time and resources into going that far out.

Looked into a station and its 18M XDHoly shit I spent most of today mining for 700ishk for the marmot MN!
@@Rawxpphey so the way I'm going to operate it is im going to research the ability to craft propellant tanks. then keep the ore and mats necessary on me to craft it
you need to do some research before making another tips and tricks vid the only helpfull thing was the buzzsaw to cut astroids rest was useless and there are way better ways to do all of them espicially the tech tree resources
then plz explain how i would get easy exorbitant amount of research points lmao, from what ive seen the benches are pretty much better than most things for beginners, and has worked very well for me
@@otterlord9271 play and test stuff i mean i put in effort and found out pilot chairs are best for modules, thrusters are best for gears, tripod is best for armour and main flight computer is best for electricity and also how do you not know how to quick move that shows you have not even tried finding a way cuz you legit just right click on it

I apologize for the bad information, this was mainly directed at totally new players, the reason i didnt know about right click was because i had tried it several times and never got an option out of it i was bugged up, this was recently fixed for me

ah i didnt know they had added that as i had tried that as a feature and I couldn't get it to work!

Right click for transfer all, instead of double click forever

I normally sell at 10 to 5 stacks per list. It sells much easier.

you have to get very far into of the belt to get em I cant go that far yet but i will be able to soon

in the settings F8 i think lets you do tutorial over again
