  • Sundew is a herbaceous perennial plant, that feeds on insects. These plants are found on all continents, with the exception of Antarctica. They grow on swamps, sandstones, in the mountains - almost on all types of soils.
The plant should be watered with distilled water. Watering can be done from the bottom or from the top of the pot, using watering can.
During the summer, Sundew was kept in the open air and in the temperature range from 10 degrees to 45 degrees Celsius. All further care was consisted of the periodic pouring of water in a saucer.
In the middle of summer the sundew developed a flower on a high peduncle. And it is extremely useful because it protects insects from the plant itself, allowing them to pollinate the flower and at the same time to save their lives.

I have two different species at present. Wonderful little plants but I put mine in my shed for now cause of the wind and rain from Hurricane Elsa.

May I ask for assistance? I have Drosera plants but they don’t produce dew unless I increase the humidity in my terrarium but my sphagnum moss with perlite is moist enough as it is and I’m afraid of drowning the roots.
Is there a reason they aren’t producing dew? I have my grow lights about 8 inches from the sundew

hi, Ahoj I'm new to the carnivorous plant scene help. I recently bought sundew seeds on Amazon. Drosera seeds 100 seeds (Mix)
1.) Do filter jugs make sense?
2.) Is sundew from a filter jug healthy?
    3) I was told that boiled and then cooled water is good for sundews. Can anyone confirm this?
    5) Should we hand feed them at some point? as the domes are closed at the seedling stage to maintain humidity, preventing insects from entering.
6._Should we open the dome every few days to get some fresh air?
7)I would like to, I thought. catching rainwater. ?
    9) I wish, I thought. catching snow water?
sorry if my english is not good 🙁

Your plant needs more ight, you can tell by the pale leaf color and curling leafs, I advise you to put it outside.
