It really sounds like all the puppets are kinda nervous around wally. Like they try really hard to please him and stuff and overcompensate with those awkward long laughs as if trying to get a reaction out of him. They jus seem like they try hard to act happy go lucky around him
So the audio logs are Wally going through a day in his Neighborhood, but something weird happened on that last one. When Barnaby made the mention of Wally's paintbrush it's almost as if it triggered something in Wally.
"A Artist without his Paintbrush" could be a double meaning or a metaphor for Wally having no control over a show that's he is the main character of. The Playfellow Workshop is essentially Forcing Wally to do Pre-Made Episode Scripts the Studio make instead of gaining Wally free control over his show. When Barnaby made that "Artist without his Paintbrush" joke, Wally appears to suffer a Mild Mental Breakdown because of the fact that he's the main character yet he has no control over it.
It reminds me of that twighlight zone episode with the little boy who can read everyone's minds and they are all stuck in his pocket dimension and have to keep trying to please him by acting like nothing is wrong and everyone is happy
What if Wally is purposely adding himself into the conversations/scenarios with the characters. Not like actually being shy or awkward,but like he's actuvely listening because he's EVERYWHERE. After all, Welcome home is *his* place,so i wouldn't be surprised if he was literally everywhere. Hearing everyone's secrets,conversations...Heck,maybe even wanting to be sentients whike trying to make the other characters sentient,you know?

Yeah he (howdy) seemed so short with poor eddie and I feel so bad for him. I absolutely adore Eddie so I might be a little biased, but hes a sweetheart.
yeah it’s pretty weird, if you look at the transcript for howdy and eddie’s video, the stage directions say howdy is distracted and not really paying attention to eddie, it’s honestly really odd
I feel sorry for Eddie, Howdy’s what, like 3 feet taller than Eddie and probably plenty strong from his day job of running the store. Surely he could help Eddie out by taking half the bowling balls (that he is delivering for free). It also irks me when sally addresses Eddie as “mailman” repeatedly instead of using his actual name, it seems disrespectful
