When I read the "I'm sorry, I can't reach them" my first thought was that he was referring to being unable to reach the sweets and treats emojis. Like, believing that the user is actually trying to give them food but not being capable of getting it. Wally seems to have a different understanding of how the world works than we do. There are things he doesn't know, like what a clown is or that that's not how emojis work, but he's also self aware like knowing he's a puppet, that he was on TV or knowing of our existence. I think he knows his friends are gone but he can't accept it, so whenever he speaks about them, he pretends they are still there with him, but it's obvious that he's lonely and hurt.
@@Alluringspace It's just speculation at the moment but some people realized that if you read the character descriptions in "The Neighborhood" page, you'll see that everyone except Wally and Home are talked about in the past tense. Ex: Julie WAS a rainbow monster; Eddie WAS the mailman. Meanwhile you've got Wally IS a painter. Home IS the ninth neighbor. This is subtle but it may portray a darker picture about what's going on with Welcome Home and its characters.
I agree with everything except for the last statement. For example, if they were all gone, how would he have asked Frank what a clown is and gotten an accurate answer (Barnaby's obviously not the only clown in existence, but he is one)?
@@catbatrat1760 The page where people can comment it starts off with wally replying as if they are still there/alive but at some point something happened cause the responses talk about them in the past tense so he was able to ask what a clown was before they "died"
I imagine Wally as like that one abandoned imaginary friend villain from the movie for Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends (anyone remember that)? Basically, he can inhabit any body within his own world but is trapped in there all alone until Franky showed up and befriended him, making him very clingy towards her. I imagine it’s the same scenario here with us and Wally.
You’re talking about World yet it does feel that they both suffer loneliness (Just like Spinel from Steven Universe and the Collector from the Owl House)
love this theory dude !! i also agree that Wally isn’t necessarily the antagonist of WH, but a part of me thinks Home is. Something about the way Home’s eye jitters so violently in ‘So Below’ feels taunting, especially when you consider its Wally trying to leave Home. (If he were trying to get inside Home, we’d see the blue window ledge.) There’s also that interesting poem on the True Overview page about Home being a reflection of yourself. I like to think that with Wally being sentient to an extent, and the show being abruptly cancelled he held a lot of grief and loss to have to say goodbye to his neighbours; leading for Home to potentially abduct the other neighbours
then again you cant deny how sinister at times Wally comes across, maybe as this all goes on he comes to understand this is the only way to maintain the neighbourhood
spitballing at this point, but at the very least i can’t bring myself to believe that Wally is the sole antagonist of WH,, so to see another Wally defender/sympathiser is real nice to hear!!!
Wally is probably trying to appease Home either for his own safety or the safety of his neighbors (if the neighbors are even still alive, that is). That's the feeling I got, anyway.
@@_bananzaa6676 Wally never actually does or says anything threatening. In fact, the two times he speaks, one time is warning the viewer to be quiet and he seems to be scared (perhaps he's trying to keep you safe from Home or something worse), while the other time, he seems to be trying to hide fear and is singing a song for Home, so he might be appeasing it for his own safety and/or that of his neighbors (assuming that they're not already dead or worse).
I once had a there where Wally and the other puppets realized that they’re puppets and desire to be free from home. A sort of I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream scenario. But having Wally being the only one aware of it and trying desperately to help his friends has great story potential. Also, I think that the evil force might be the producers who has the rights to the show, the chains on the Welcome Home
I like this idea. I really hope Wally and the other puppets don't turn out to be evil, the whole 'evil puppets' plot feels very overdone. The puppets being the victims and needing the fans to rescue them is much more intriguing.
6:32 I noticed something that has been bugging me a lot..... Home doesn't look covered in blood, it looks... faded. Wally is merely a sketch in that image, and the only bit of the image that is actually concrete is Home's eye, but it is fading. Maybe Wally trully is behing the restoration project.... but to save his world. Without the show, there is no reason for his little universe to exist... so it's fading away. Home and him were the only ones left, but Home is fading too. Now, that idea can work for both Wally being evil or good. You can add whatever you think feels right to it
I've not yet seen anyone mention that there are two different versions of Wally. The vast majority of the time his eyes are sloped downward at the outside corners and lidded. In a couple pieces of more... spooky art, his eyes are sloped upward without lids. The only times I've noticed the discrepancy thus far are the "There he is!" picture when he's looking out Home's shutters, one where he's sitting at a desk? table? some kind of surface (which may be apocryphal), and the gif on the hidden page where he tells us to stay quiet. There are a few other differences in those portrayals as well, that I haven't been able to quite pin down. I believe his face is also a flat yellow, without his blush. These seem to be moments he's inside Home, though that's mostly conjecture given two of three images. There's not enough information to really build a theory, but my thought is essentially that in those moments he's not exactly Wally Darling. Perhaps it's a Wally in an altered state - aware of our reality, afraid, other? - or maybe he's possessed, an entirely separate character/puppet that happens to share his appearance? Again, simply not enough information. Regardless, there's no way it's not incredibly intentional and meaningful, and it's really unsettling once you notice it.
The image of Wally reading a book, the text "You're readn books now kid? No, just one." also looks like it's echoing, as if multiple Wally's and multiple Barnaby's are speaking, initially I thought of it as an infinity loop because within each book drawing Wally is reading the same page and having the same conversation at the exact same time. Barnaby asking if he's reading multiple books, Wally technically is since it's infinite. It's both infinite and one at the same time. Barnaby's response of "aint it just like a smart guy to have a smart answer" however is not echoing/altered text which maybe indicates something. Wally's comment of "No, just one" maybe means he's stuck reading the same story over and over, ruminating, the same conversations echoing.
Maybe I'm just Old, but surely the restoration team's anonymity is just basic Internet safety? It wasn't strange not to know who was running a site of the early 2000s style it emulates.
One thing I haven't seen people talking about are the puppet hands in some of the pictures. For example, if you look at the fifth picture in the "What's Welcome Home?" there is a puppet hand, presumably Wally's, in the upper right corner. Maybe the WHRP has a Wally doll they pose in the pictures, or Wally is more closely tied to the WHRP than we assumed, or something else entirely.
I think it meant that he cannot reach the candies, not that he cannot reach the neighbors. On Guestbook page 7 is a cookie that Wally also cannot retrieve.
i have something to add. You said that there is someone that the whrp and wally fear, and i believe this person is some kind of powerful deity that can break the boundaries of fiction and reality. How else can a fictional puppet become real in some form and contact real humans? I think the reason Wally wanted us to stay quiet in that one part where he stared at us in the dark is because he knew that this entity could detect us, added with all the times he's tried to do his meetings in secret, this deity wants us for some reason i can't figure out. I'm not sure who the deity is, but I believe if it had to be someone we know of, it's home. We already know Wally has tried to appease it by singing thanks to the morse code answering "I do" to Wally's question of if it enjoyed his little musical, plus wherever Wally tries is shown in some dark way, home isn't far off in most cases. Now this is probably incorrect but what we can be sure of is that this Deity is that it's sadistic and is doing it for its own amusement. Why else would an all-power deity put so many beings through this much suffering? If it wanted to take over the world or some other power-hungry task, then it wouldn't need to make a fictional puppet show real to do so since it would already posses an incredible power to do so. And if I'm right about this deity that begs another question, why won't it stop Wally from contacting the outside world, specifically us? I believe its allowing him to do so to make its "entertainment" more interesting for itself, after all what's more fun for a villain then toying with its enemies? If you have any questions about how I came up with this or have something to add feel free to say something in replies, I'd love to hear y'all's thoughts and opinions
@@owlspiritpal7559 it's a cosmic horror film about a cult who are all trapped in a time loop by some kind of deity. the deity is a representation of horror movie fans (particularly the ones who like their movies to have unhappy endings), because it just wants to watch them suffer for its own entertainment and/or to see a good story, as you've said here. it's some meta-commentary shit i feel like, if your take is correct, then we're probably the deity again just like in The Endless, only it's more literal this time, because he's a fictional character even in universe, and a puppet no less
9:39 I would also like to add that, the last disc voice line is just a bunch of rattling, creaks and slams. And apparently, thats home, speaking to us in mores code. And, depending on each interpretation, they’re either saying “Help”, “Help me”, or “Hello”. So whatever it is, homes terrified of it too, which is deeply concerning
Wally was lying about being in contact with his neighbors: they are not there, they have all escaped. Remember that Sally Comment in the Guestbook? Wall asks, "Sally, is that you?" Other Guests comment about sharing names with characters, but it was Sally remembering the show that caught Wally's attention. Sally is out there, in a Human Body, living a Human Life, and 50 years later is remembering Home. This leads to the greater Mystery as to how it happened, but Wally's reaction to her comment suggests that is what happened - and the others are still out there too.
I think they’re looking for people for the puppets to possess. Until they can find operators, everyone is dead. The idea that they mention events in the news is interesting. I’m curious to see this in full fruition.
While watching this, I had the sudden thought; "Someone should make a fanart comic where someone forms a support group for characters with self-awareness." Like, maybe Wally Darling receives an invitation from Monika from Doki Doki and meets other characters like Stanley (with his narrator) and Sans the Skeleton.
I'M SO OBSESSED WITH WELCOME HOME RIGHT NOW AAAAHHHH I LOVE IT SO MUCH I'M SO EXCITED FOR MORE INFO ABOUT THE STORY AND STUFF!! Also thanks for another theory! I shall now store it into my memory with all the other ones.
Something I noticed about there color palletes is that Wally and Barnaby are the only ones with a different color pallete, because everyone has a sort of rainbow somewhere in there outfits (red, orange, yellow, green, blue).Like even, though hard to see, Sally has all of those colors mixed up in her sweater same as Franks vest, and even Julie has the red trough yellow dress and green to blue thights. Now Howdys a bit different cause on him the blue and green are mixed up but still there. Now Wally and Barnaby are the only ones without green somewhere in there outfits, maybe its just a coincidance but its still something I found a bit wierd.😅
There’s a short I watched where someone analyzed the possible meaning of Wally’s name. It was a UA-cam short made by the user Grey Heart Labs and they found a 70’s slang that basically goes “Wally, Wally, bloody and dolly”. This slang describes a person’s blindness to the toxic traits of a relationship they’re in or something like that. I don’t remember the exact definition, so I put a link to the short at the bottom of this comment. Anyway, I bet this implies that Wally is trapped in not just a physical sense but also mental. Like you said, his constant eye contact to the audience could be a cry for help, but if the implications of his name is anything to go by it could also be him desperately trying to break free from his perception of Home. Anyway, I better leave it at that before I write an entire essay. To whoever made it through to the end of this thing, you’re a trooper!😂❤ ua-cam.com/users/shortsSJRGeKM092M?feature=share
this makes me think that wally could be.... quite literally Home's puppet. i think this ARG might end up addressing the toxicity of blindly loving your "home" above all else and considering an abusive house to be a "home" because its all youve ever known and then realizing too late and feeling trapped. stuck. searching for a way out. searching for a way to be seen and heard and saved. it kind of explains his behavior of always smiling, making eye contact with the viewer, and his off-putting warnings that dont quite carry malicious intent.
if we think about it this way When a show is shut down for some reason all peices left of it are either kept by those who casted the show or either kept in storage to me Welcome home was likely kept in a hidden storage maybe the colorful files that the website talks about is what led them to the storage and if we think about how welcome home is a puppet show then it was likely that other puppets have either been given away or weren't put with wally which might explain why he's the only one left all his friends are gone and it seems wally was aware of being in a kids tv show before it was even shut down so having only cast members puppeting your friends could have taken a told on him
I think that there's a gap between the real world and the welcome home world, Wally is probably stuck in the limbo or getting slowly absorbed by it, the others are already gone, some might even bee in the real world, but lost their memories: there’s a message from someone named Sally in the guestbook that seems to remember some of this show from their childhood, and Wally replies with a png of cute little stars named: Sally is that you. (all attached but i separated it :p) It could be that they are or were humans, but most probably in this case of Sally the show's childhood memory could be a recall from her backstory that says that she had been looking from above. i also have reasons to believe that the other houses might become alive again from a part in Sally's description “She has seemingly accomplished her aspired stardom, as there are only nine visible neighbors in Home, all of whom know her.” this might be referred to us the viewer but i can't stop see how most of the houses look like faces, or the fact that house looks always at em. Hope that my crazy theories help ;p
I agree with almost all of this, though I am not convinced there is a time loop. Also, several people have mentioned that possibly Wally cannot reach the candies, but I do not think this is the case because there’s a video of Wally eating an image. Note that it’s an image he eats, and not actual food from his world!
It's sorta like the deltarune secret bosses who also gained cursed knowledge that also made them self aware and isolated them to the point of madness and throwing their lives into shambles
So about that religious imagery, or more specificallythe cross cuff links! Clown has stated that they aren't canon anymore, and I think that means he's gonna be taking things in a different direction. They do appear in 2 places on the WH website, but from what i can tell I think those are just oversights
love the theory!!! I will say, I think it's home that is sending the letters and images. If home was able to corrupt and warp the neighborhood, it might want to do it again in a different place, and making people aware of the show again would allow it to do so. I think wally attempted to destroy all evidence and memory of the show to prevent what happened to his friends from happening to anyone else, but home got a hold of it before he could finish.
Fun thing I found, I was looking at the website on my phone but when I went to the neighborhood Wally's house moved up and basically sits on top of the one that used to be there (I think it might be Julie's? I can't tell). I don't think it's any lore, probably just a phone glitch (the hitboxes for the other houses are shifted too), but it does show us what's under the house, and it's very interesting. It's this blacky ink substance, like the one we knew about before. But now we can see it's clinging to the surrounding bushes and trees as if it's slowly infecting the rest of the world. It also has this white spiral in the middle, almost as if it's a portal. At first I thought it was an eye looking at me. I dunno if this is already known, but either way it's super cool! Love the ARG!
I cincerely hope that this theory would become true. Wally seems to be such a nice and caring being, I would hate to see him as bad guy number 3001. HE even signed the book for Home and seems to want to be nice to everyone. Maybe that facade he cannot get rid of makes it worse, as he can only smile as his eyes plead to the audience
GRAAAHHHH I really think that Home is the villain here. Or at least a misguided character given sentience as well as Wally, considering the fact Home used present tense as well. I don't really know what Home could possibly be doing, but it could be like. an isolation type of thing. Taking Wally away from the people he cares about, possibly to keep him safe, or to keep others safe. I dunno, just a thought I felt like getting out 😭
9:05 You said "pup" instead of "puppet" here, and now that's going to be how I see him forevermore. Just a sweet lil' puppy who doesn't deserve any of this. 🥺😭 (I mean, I know that technically, Barnaby is the only ACTUAL puppy among the cast, but the rest of 'em can be metaphorical pups.)
Something that i realized Since Wally doesn't have eyebrowns we can't have a better clue of what he's thinking, like if he's angry, sad or worried(it doesn't help with his cat-like mouth being always like a smile), and then people have different points of view of what he means with his words and actions An example is the picture where he's "helping" Eddie, i can see Wally's expression as "Omg, what do i do?" but at the same time as "Hehe, i did that" as if he did something to him I noticed now that we can't see half of Eddie's body, so either Wally did something or, as you were saying that he's feeling lonely, he was trying to bring him back The main picture where he's staring at us in the dark, his eyes are trembling, is this just to make us scared? Is HE scared? (There's a picture where he was doing a pose of a being that i don't remember the name, and from there people where saying that he's the bad guy, but the picture was in a site where Clown said that some pictures where not canon, so we can't know what is true or not)
4:24 i personally lean more towards this theory!! it holds up with what we already know, like eddie giving “incorrect” names of where he came from when recalling his hometown!
I think you should look at the meaning of the song Beautiful Dreamer and I quote 'the song tells of a lover serenading a "Beautiful Dreamer" who is oblivious to worldly cares and may actually be dead.'
I think this is a great theroy, however there are of course things that dont add upp, as excpected. But you have some very great points!! I also digged around a bit and found out that spirals means "representing an opening or re-awakening;" or "transpersonal route to that higher level of consciousness" In a religious prespective, I found this very intresting... "The septenary spiral has been interpreted as the ‘world centre’ motif employed by Shambhala - in Tibetan Buddhist tradition the mystical kingdom hidden in the Himalayas - to convey its once dominant position as a seat of wisdom and knowledge. where above and below, the sky opening and the underworld, conjoin." I also remmeber Clown saying eyes are a big thing, and the meaning of eyes in art is "used to ward off variations of evil intentions." which could therefore mean that Wally means good, and is trying to fend off this evil identity. My guess is that this identity is what cursed Wally from the beggining, making him, and perhaps the other,s consussness, something they never asked for. But the evil identy is now trying with all their power to hide its creation for some reason we dont know.
While I was looking through the guest book I was scrolling through the blank one when my eyes faintly registered letters and after blinking and few times and scrolling back I realized one of the blank boxes actually had white texts that had Wally’s name with the note “You’re looking for me. Silly. Silly.” So that definitely seems to confirm the white text is also in fact Wally writing. I know people probably all already agreed with that, but I thought it was a good confirmation of that. His note is interesting though. Like does he find us looking for him a funny thought? Or is he saying it’s foolish? Maybe both? Maybe he likes the attention but he knows seeking him out is dangerous. It would make sense why when you find the page with his eyes he starts asking us all kinds of questions but also warning us to keep quiet. Also again the text on that page is again white. (Kinda makes me think of when a painter paints over a canvas with white to start over…)
Hi hi, so I don't know if anyone has talked about this before but I think the "As above, so below" thing with Wally could tie in with the phasing between worlds. The saying is used to describe the idea that what happens in a higher realm or plane of existence also happens in a lower realm, so that could be used to mean that Wally exists in both our world and Home. P.S. The definition I used was kind of a generalization, and would somewhat imply that our world and Home are parallels to heaven and hell but just an idea.
the picture that is ended with in the video, at least to me, seems like wally is terrified. Like when he tells you to stay quiet. Home is looking towards wally as he peaks through a side window, trying to know exactly what he's doing. "As below" shows that within Home is just darkness, while inside he cant see anything other than Home's eye. That's where i think the player ends up, inside Home, but as long as Home doesn't know they're there maybe they can leave. "I can't see you" (it's dark) "can you see me?" (only light comes from the side window or Home's eyes) "Then stay quiet" (a warning). Home doesn't know they're there, or they're looking for them.
Can I just say at timestamp 6:25, the eye of home looks like it's covered in blood. It's not. Home is colored red. So why isn't the window pane flowing with blood if the window/the eyes of home has a golden like trim around it. The darkness around homes eye is the darkness that wally I'd facing and home is the only one that wally is able to see through it. Other than that. It would explain the "can you see me? I can't see you." Comments.
The are symbolic of the connection or identity of the universe! As well as a symbol of life! The Spiral of Life symbolizes the physical, mental, and spiritual development of a human life winding its way through the rotating seasons of its years. Which supports your theory of Welcome Home! But I personally think we have a multi universal situation going on! I don't think anyone is wrong. BUt your theory is massive standout! I didn't even think to look at the images in the art galleries! I think we have two Wally's going on a good and bad trying to connect with the real world!
7:42 at this point I think I realized something, In Eddie’s bio it says he doesn’t remember where he comes from, and the restoration project got the colored envelopes from Wally thru Eddie somehow. Could Eddie possibly be unintentionally traveling thru our world and “welcome home”? Maybe that’s one of the reason he doesn’t remember where he came from. And if he can’t remember and Wally is phasing through our reality and his, maybe that’s a reason he can’t recall certain things on the drawings from the guestbook? Sorry if this a mess of words but I found this interesting to consider.
The phasing thing might have a *bit* of more likelihood than it seems. What if he's phasing through the world of digital art and the real world? He looks and seems to interact in the website's art, but the thing is this was a puppet show, not a cartoon show... But also if this was inspired by Sesame Street there are some animated bits in that too- just an idea
i think for the png where he responds 'i cant reach them' - he is referring to the emoji treats and not the neighbors. this could help explain as to why in first few pages pages he is still able to interact with them or tell the audience he will give the neighbors the audience's message. the png is also a x-ed out tv/computer screen- he can interact with us but not ...fully? like that one secret site where he informs us he can't 'see us' . Another png about a 'cookie and a kiss' (guestbook page 7: Rocky ) being mailed to him, Wally responds similarly, 'i cant find them, ill look harder'. No mentions of the neighbors in this comment. yet again, i see the past tense and the 'no memory' png getting in the way of this speculation....
I think I have a theory about this.. but before I tell you I have to ask. Do you know what a Tulpa is? Welcome Home is a show that not only lost but forgotten. It was brought back to memories due to colorful letters and after that a site was made. Wally does need help, however he himself doesn't know what it is for he keep saying I can't see you or do you see me.. He is in the need to be with people but he is trap in the abyss. So what does he need? Well he needs to be remember and love. If you paid attention to 6:14 everyone makes a lot of theory's but no one seem to notice something important here. 1st Home is not looking at Wally and 2nd Wally is outside of Home. I mentioned before that Wally is in the abyss. All of this lead to two important factors at play. 1st. Remember my question? Do you know what a Tulpa is? A Sanskrit word used to refer to a practice in Tibetan Buddhism, in which the practitioner creates a sentient being through the power of thought. What if Wally is a Tulpa when his show was on air but due to being cancelled he was trap in storage and driven made by the void he is in. 2nd There is a villain but who is it? Well better question is why was the show been canceled? I feel it was canceled cause of a character introduced in that ep. But those are my thoughts.
this is the same conclusion I've come to personally but you explained it all so well and laid out all the evidence plus thought of more that I hadn't even realised! of course we're still in very early days and speculation isn't really going to get us anywhere atm, but with what we do have so far I think this is a pretty solid theory. as fun as the idea of evil Wally is, personally I just don't think that's gonna be the case even if he comes off as creepy lol but I guess we'll see!! also one small note, Clown has stated that a lot of his older art, especially pre- Jan 2022, is now outdated and irrelevant and should be disregarded and details like Wally's cross cufflinks are no longer canon. doesn't detract from the theory, I just thought it would be worth mentioning since you brought it up at the end!
Another interesting thing about Home (and probably being aware like Wally) is that when you click on a neighbor’s house and go back the whole neighborhood turns into nothing but white Except Home… Maybe this could illustrate on the whole Wally’s friends are gone except for him
So I noticed in the original destroyed image of Julie and her sister's it's covered in mostly red and blue paint (a little yellow too) and it's held flat by blue fingers, in the image of Wally painting where someone is like asking if they can ask him something he's painting with red and blue and has blue fingers, Idk what that means really but my two (probably wrong) ideas are 1- He's destroying it to protect the WHRP from discovering more, but also then who sent that image so this is probably wrong 2- It got destroyed some other way but he was still trying to send images of the image
Imagine if Wally ate some kind of 'forbidden fruit' in his silly little cartoon world, and the price is that he now suffers with the distorted reality and self-awarness? Would be kinda fun, honestly. This is just a comment, don't take it seriously, lol.
When Wally asks if we can see him, I wonder what would happen if you typed in the Guestbook “I can see you”. I feel like that line can be used somewhere and cause something to happen, but since the website is down (as I’m typing this) we’ll just have to wait and see.
This theory explains a lot of things, even why Wally is related to Crucifixes. Maybe he was as unaware as anyone else until he ate "the forbidden fruit" (he probably didn't eat anything but saw somethibg he wasn't supposed to). And probably home is the one helping Wally to travek between worlds. Probably there are no time loops, but he wants to free him and himself from any danger he and the restoration team fears. Or home could be the danger instead of helping Wally travel.
3:41 I find it interesting that the text at the top of the image is also layered MULTIPLE times... But not the text at the bottom. This might be a red herring...but maby not? Hm. Idk. 6:34 ACTUALLY I think an important detail we're forgetting is that Wally is a PAINTER. And to me it looks like Home isn't "bleeding"... That's paint. Wally painted Home... Maby... Okay so actually this made me think- If Wally DID paint Home, then... what else has he painted?! Going back to the book thing- and another detail I want to point out: the strips that can be found on one of the pages... Did Wally find the script to his show... and start painting the world described in those scrips? ... Not entirely I think... but maby partially. We know the letters and their content's are often covered in paint. That to me confirms that Wally is sending them. But the random paint splatter on them does not line up with the drawings themselves. So they're not made by him. But it's VERY possible that some things (like Home) were actually drawn by Wally himself... Just a thought. +Okay more thoughts! After looking at the picture of Wally and the Home-eye again I noticed another detail. Wally is SKETCHED. He's drawn with lines of a pencil. Home is drawn in PAINT. IF some things are actually painted by Wally then here's the clear distinction! Paint=Wally. Sketched/pencil=???(the og show artists ig). This might be a really important detail I think... I actually found something of interest I think! :) (Also I now think that one gif that has Wally getting closer to the camera before everything goes red is just him painting over the camera... which implies he's hiding something... I wonder what.) ++Oop i just remembered that ON the site he also draws in crayons... but that's only ON the site, aka in our(?) world...(or in the "in-between" of his and our world?) This may also be noteworthy! 8:38 I also think this is a case of someone trying to act as part of something they definitely are not and it's deeply frustrating for Wally that they did that. I also find it interesting that Wally knows they are fibbing because he cant SEE them. This implies that in whatever "place" he's in, he can see the other puppets, but he can't see anyone outside of his world... I wonder if Home can see us. It's always looking around so rapidly... panicked, I think. What does home see? Of all the characters, isn't home the most trapped? It doesn't even have arms after all... Is Wally trying too look through Homes eyes/windows? CAN Home see us?? Hmm... Many many questions. 10:01 bro I just wanna say- That cake thing is based on some old stock photo that I know as being used as an iconic Ace meme. So this image just makes my brain go "hmmm puppet man asexual" so fofkhfhh. Go lil yellow Ace I guess? xD 10:38 I am definitely getting some almost... reverse luigi-boad 🧐 vibes. Like you know how usaly it's the living trying to reach out to the dead with various elaborate lil techniques? I feel like almost the reverse is happening here. Maby WE are the paranormal to Wally? I feel like our whole world might be something "forbidden" Wally is trying to reach out to. Everything he does... he reminds me of the dumb little child in a horror movie who accidentally summons the ghost. Really I don't quite know what to make of this whole story yet. There's many possible leads and many thoughts in my head about it, but I haven't solidified them into anything clear yet. Maby if I come up with any more clear conclusions I'll be back commenting. This whole lil story has definitely trickled my brain as well. ;3 (Expect me to keep adding onto this comment- Okay I'm done now, I think 👍) (NVM I JUST HAD A THOUGH-) Welcome Home... Welcome... Home. Home the 9th neighbor... Home is being welcomed... ARE WE HOME???... Bye, I'm going to bed- (Done fr now 👋)
have you tried the numbers on the hopscotch with the phone by click dragging the numbers? to see if we get a speciffic unheard of call? or a speciffic number dialing with barnabuses paw prints with the color coded paws?
The only thing I can think of that can interact/ be in both Welcome Home and our reality would be the creator of Welcome Home, like the person that made the show, maybe the creator has powers or something idk💀
I think house is just dictating when wally can and cannot leave, nope no friends today, I'm lockin' all meh doors and windows, solitary confinement time you little rascal. You know things are getting weird when you're developing Stockholm syndrome for your own house. Maybe he can only talk with them cuz' his phone is the only way of communication he has at the moment, if that's true who knows how long home's been keeping him captive. Maybe that's why some of the numbers on the dial are all goo'ed and destroyed, maybe he tried to call for help from someone with those numbers, or just said something in a way house didn't approve of. Maybe house just won't let Wally out because the show isn't making more episodes so there's no reason for him to leave. Episode doesn't start, home doesn't open. I don't like my idea it makes me sad :c
It makes me wonder if there is some kind of multiverse/parallel universe thing going on too and that it's causing its own problems for Wally and his friends. We see Julie have different horns for example and yet some versions seem to be equally accepted beyond the concept stage as if her merch equally presents every version as the canon final design. It doesn't seem like the type of kids show that would have a continuing narrative or intricate world-building that would use changes in horns to show the passage of time or insinuate a chronology of episodes, so I doubt it's that. However, since the story is supposedly confirmed by Clown to only be 5% complete as of right now, there may be a lot of unknowns that haven't been hinted at yet (kind of like how Mommy Longlegs wasn't shown at all in chapter 1 of Poppy Playtime). I could be wrong, but I get the feeling there are more details and characters that haven't even been hinted at yet. I would definitely embrace the theory more too if we knew more about motivations and how getting the world to know about the lost TV show gets Wally whatever it is that he really wants, especially in contrast to why there was an attempt to destroy it in the first place.
I can’t help but wonder if Wally’s really the only one with some kind of deeper knowledge. And I can’t help but wonder if Sunny the Bluebird’s erasure from the series has some kind of relevance or if Clown really meant that he’s just gone.
"Wally and his friends live in a time loop, and Wallys the only one aware of it" Pretty much like Sans and the undertale timelines ? *Now i understand everything*
I remember people saying how they say wallys friend's in past tense and then kinda came to me at random but we know when we click on the bottom of home it shows wally kneeling at home and I just kinda thought that if wally is currently in home at that moment on the neighbor hood thing then that means everyone else isn't there with wally in that moment and that he truly is alone. But hey that's just a theory.
My theory is that why does Eddie have a tie that looks exactly like poppy’s feathers?(my other theory)do you remember when u said in ur last vid that Wally was being controlled maybe Wally is being controlled to smile all the time bye who is controlling him and he’s probably being forced to sabotage his other members This is only a theory I’m not sure if I’m right or wrong”
Bro we like really need to help Wally and make him join our neighbour hood and if Wally wants to make us join his neighbour hood I will happily do that
I think the spiral imagery are portals and Wally is using these to drag people into his world. Not only that but the site has a theme of the characters having struggles with remembering certain events, I don't think Wally is immune to this either and I more so see Wally as a sort of cult leader spreading messages that Home wants him too and if anyone steps out of line Home messes with their memories. As for people being dragged into this world I believe they are more like sacrifices to Home or those who Home is trying to convert into more followers. That's just a few simplistic explanations of a few theories I've had but I can't wait to see where this series goes in the future as it certainly has me intrigued as the horror fan I am.
To add to the phasing Between Worlds Theory, I think the two worlds could be our real world and the TV show's world and why he can't see us is because the TV screen would be the door or window between these two worlds and it acts like a one-way mirror. we can see them but he can't see us which is why he says that we are "fibbing" when we say that we can see them and that we're not there, so how could we possibly see them. However he does seem to know that the mirror is there but it just frustrates him that he cannot see through it and see us there so that he could feel at least some reassurance that someone is there watching him and knows that he is there and possibly needs some help
I wish the website can come back and be famous again like before, but other games are getting more fans , making people forget about the mysteries, and it's ok if they don't watch the mysteries, it's just that i need more videos of him,i just want to know everything, eveb the voice actors
If Wally IS Home then, does he control Home like in Encanto Mirabel tries to get the candle and Kasita helping her? And Does that explain why Home is crying black tears because of a thing on Home's home on "Going down" or something that Wally did that cause him Sanity and leads him to hurting Home that basically hurts himself??sorry i have to many question to process
Eh, I don't really buy this. It's very, very simple: Home has trapped him inside. He can't reach the other neighbors because Home won't let him. Didn't you hear the audio clip of the song he sang to Home?
Wally: I am once again asking for your financial support
I read that in a kermit voice idk why
How can I trust you tho?
@@Cloverbed maybe it’s because Wally is a puppet like Kermit
@@bluecheese5791 Kermit's a muppet
Silly!
Omg ya same I at first thought that too!
I have a question. How are his friends gone, they're literally in the same show??
I felt so sorry for him.
AWH :/ I’m going to watch that movie now thanks

You’re talking about World yet it does feel that they both suffer loneliness
(Just like Spinel from Steven Universe and the Collector from the Owl House)
@@star.sznnnn same
love this theory dude !! i also agree that Wally isn’t necessarily the antagonist of WH, but a part of me thinks Home is.
I’m a big fan of where this theory is going
The neighbours' pages say "go back" because they have somewhere they came from and go back to, and Wally doesn't as he always been in the neighborhood
You can add whatever you think feels right to it
Hey it makes sense that Wally wants to restore the show so that his universe doesn't dissapear
I also just noticed this exact difference in the thumbnail of this video, lol
When Wally has a wide eyed stare, that is his method of eating. The silly clown confirmed it.
I was actually just thinking about this today omg, especially paired with the last page of the guestbook.
Before I was kinda scared of Wally ngl but this makes me feel bad for him and see things more in a different light. Love that.
Maybe I'm just Old, but surely the restoration team's anonymity is just basic Internet safety? It wasn't strange not to know who was running a site of the early 2000s style it emulates.
Exactly! This!
No really I didn't think it was all that surprising
One thing I haven't seen people talking about are the puppet hands in some of the pictures. For example, if you look at the fifth picture in the "What's Welcome Home?" there is a puppet hand, presumably Wally's, in the upper right corner. Maybe the WHRP has a Wally doll they pose in the pictures, or Wally is more closely tied to the WHRP than we assumed, or something else entirely.
I think it meant that he cannot reach the candies, not that he cannot reach the neighbors. On Guestbook page 7 is a cookie that Wally also cannot retrieve.
I think that too because in the other ones he said that he would ask or mail them.
i have something to add. If you have any questions about how I came up with this or have something to add feel free to say something in replies, I'd love to hear y'all's thoughts and opinions
what you just described is the movie "The Endless"
@@griffy9639 haven’t heard of that, what is it?
@@owlspiritpal7559 it's a cosmic horror film about a cult who are all trapped in a time loop by some kind of deity. the deity is a representation of horror movie fans (particularly the ones who like their movies to have unhappy endings), because it just wants to watch them suffer for its own entertainment and/or to see a good story, as you've said here. it's some meta-commentary shit
i feel like, if your take is correct, then we're probably the deity again just like in The Endless, only it's more literal this time, because he's a fictional character even in universe, and a puppet no less
Wall asks, "Sally, is that you?"
Other Guests comment about sharing names with characters, but it was Sally remembering the show that caught Wally's attention.
Love this bahahahah
@@godlysocks Oh! What if Spamton was there too?! Two puppet boys interact!
To whoever made it through to the end of this thing, you’re a trooper!😂❤
ua-cam.com/users/shortsSJRGeKM092M?feature=share
I think the name Wally (in 70’s slang) also means something along the lines of
“Naive & gullible.”
I may be wrong though, so don’t quote me on it 😅
this makes me think that wally could be.... quite literally Home's puppet. i think this ARG might end up addressing the toxicity of blindly loving your "home" above all else and considering an abusive house to be a "home" because its all youve ever known and then realizing too late and feeling trapped. stuck. searching for a way out. searching for a way to be seen and heard and saved. it kind of explains his behavior of always smiling, making eye contact with the viewer, and his off-putting warnings that dont quite carry malicious intent.
if we think about it this way
When a show is shut down for some reason all peices left of it are either kept by those who casted the show or either kept in storage to me Welcome home was likely kept in a hidden storage maybe the colorful files that the website talks about is what led them to the storage and if we think about how welcome home is a puppet show then it was likely that other puppets have either been given away or weren't put with wally which might explain why he's the only one left all his friends are gone and it seems wally was aware of being in a kids tv show before it was even shut down so having only cast members puppeting your friends could have taken a told on him
I refuse to believe that Wally is the antagonist.
Me too
I think that there's a gap between the real world and the welcome home world, Wally is probably stuck in the limbo or getting slowly absorbed by it, the others are already gone, some might even bee in the real world, but lost their memories: there’s a message from someone named Sally in the guestbook that seems to remember some of this show from their childhood, and Wally replies with a png of cute little stars named: Sally is that you.
(I mean, I know that technically, Barnaby is the only ACTUAL puppy among the cast, but the rest of 'em can be metaphorical pups.)
Something that i realized
Since Wally doesn't have eyebrowns we can't have a better clue of what he's thinking, like if he's angry, sad or worried(it doesn't help with his cat-like mouth being always like a smile), and then people have different points of view of what he means with his words and actions
An example is the picture where he's "helping" Eddie, i can see Wally's expression as "Omg, what do i do?" but at the same time as "Hehe, i did that" as if he did something to him
I noticed now that we can't see half of Eddie's body, so either Wally did something or, as you were saying that he's feeling lonely, he was trying to bring him back
The main picture where he's staring at us in the dark, his eyes are trembling, is this just to make us scared? Is HE scared?
(There's a picture where he was doing a pose of a being that i don't remember the name, and from there people where saying that he's the bad guy, but the picture was in a site where Clown said that some pictures where not canon, so we can't know what is true or not)
When Wally said that he can't reach "them" I thought that he meant that he can't reach the treats because they're emojis
4:24 i personally lean more towards this theory!! it holds up with what we already know, like eddie giving “incorrect” names of where he came from when recalling his hometown!
2:10 I think what he meant when he said he can't reach them he meant the food.
I think you should look at the meaning of the song Beautiful Dreamer and I quote 'the song tells of a lover serenading a "Beautiful Dreamer" who is oblivious to worldly cares and may actually be dead.'
Well, Home isn’t dead because he responded to Wally in that Audio.
@@jareddixon9108 Then maybe it's referring to Barnaby, I don't know?
I think this is a great theroy, however there are of course things that dont add upp, as excpected. But you have some very great points!! I also digged around a bit and found out that spirals means "representing an opening or re-awakening;" or "transpersonal route to that higher level of consciousness"
In a religious prespective, I found this very intresting...
"The septenary spiral has been interpreted as the ‘world centre’ motif employed by Shambhala - in Tibetan Buddhist tradition the mystical kingdom hidden in the Himalayas - to convey its once dominant position as a seat of wisdom and knowledge. where above and below, the sky opening and the underworld, conjoin."
I also remmeber Clown saying eyes are a big thing, and the meaning of eyes in art is "used to ward off variations of evil intentions." which could therefore mean that Wally means good, and is trying to fend off this evil identity.
My guess is that this identity is what cursed Wally from the beggining, making him, and perhaps the other,s consussness, something they never asked for. But the evil identy is now trying with all their power to hide its creation for some reason we dont know.
Wally is aware he is stuck in a child show, and wants to get out and see the real world. That is his true motive.
While I was looking through the guest book I was scrolling through the blank one when my eyes faintly registered letters and after blinking and few times and scrolling back I realized one of the blank boxes actually had white texts that had Wally’s name with the note “You’re looking for me. Silly. Silly.”
So that definitely seems to confirm the white text is also in fact Wally writing.
I think we have two Wally's going on a good and bad trying to connect with the real world!
wally is cute innocent boy, we must protec him at all costs
What if he's looking at you.... Because he's scared, do you see that he look at you through the window in that one photo, looking scared?
The thought of Wally trying to hug home even after all that he has done to him makes me wanna cry
this is the same conclusion I've come to personally but you explained it all so well and laid out all the evidence plus thought of more that I hadn't even realised! of course we're still in very early days and speculation isn't really going to get us anywhere atm, but with what we do have so far I think this is a pretty solid theory. as fun as the idea of evil Wally is, personally I just don't think that's gonna be the case even if he comes off as creepy lol but I guess we'll see!!
also one small note, Clown has stated that a lot of his older art, especially pre- Jan 2022, is now outdated and irrelevant and should be disregarded and details like Wally's cross cufflinks are no longer canon. doesn't detract from the theory, I just thought it would be worth mentioning since you brought it up at the end!
NAW JIT BECAME GAME THEORY 😨 MATPAT SHOULD HIRE YOU FR ‼️‼️
True
Another interesting thing about Home (and probably being aware like Wally) is that when you click on a neighbor’s house and go back the whole neighborhood turns into nothing but white
Except Home…
Maybe this could illustrate on the whole Wally’s friends are gone except for him
When you are trapped within home... Sometimes you create a world within your mind, as escape from the horrors of home...
So I noticed in the original destroyed image of Julie and her sister's it's covered in mostly red and blue paint (a little yellow too) and it's held flat by blue fingers, in the image of Wally painting where someone is like asking if they can ask him something he's painting with red and blue and has blue fingers, Idk what that means really but my two (probably wrong) ideas are
1- He's destroying it to protect the WHRP from discovering more, but also then who sent that image so this is probably wrong
2- It got destroyed some other way but he was still trying to send images of the image
Might I add that Wally’s favorite food are Apples, NOT to eat but to Look at. As in the Bible we were told to look and not eat them
Imagine if Wally ate some kind of 'forbidden fruit' in his silly little cartoon world, and the price is that he now suffers with the distorted reality and self-awarness? Would be kinda fun, honestly. This is just a comment, don't take it seriously, lol.
Your videos helped me sleep, thank you.
Wally "eating the forbidden fruit" by seeing something he shouldn't have actually makes sense because apparently he eats by looking at things
(Also I now think that one gif that has Wally getting closer to the camera before everything goes red is just him painting over the camera... which implies he's hiding something... I wonder what.)
++Oop i just remembered that ON the site he also draws in crayons... but that's only ON the site, aka in our(?) world...(or in the "in-between" of his and our world?) This may also be noteworthy!
Go lil yellow Ace I guess? xD
10:38 I am definitely getting some almost... reverse luigi-boad 🧐 vibes.
This whole lil story has definitely trickled my brain as well. ;3
(Expect me to keep adding onto this comment- Okay I'm done now, I think 👍)
(NVM I JUST HAD A THOUGH-)
Welcome Home... Welcome... Home.
Home the 9th neighbor... Home is being welcomed... ARE WE HOME???...
Bye, I'm going to bed-
(Done fr now 👋)
have you tried the numbers on the hopscotch with the phone by click dragging the numbers? to see if we get a speciffic unheard of call? or a speciffic number dialing with barnabuses paw prints with the color coded paws?
Oh and when in one of those secret pages in the website (the one Wally kneeling over Home's window eye???)
It looks like a cross
The only thing I can think of that can interact/ be in both Welcome Home and our reality would be the creator of Welcome Home, like the person that made the show, maybe the creator has powers or something idk💀
When I saw "as below"
it looked like Wally who is as we all know the best painter.
was painting the eye of home in blood.
I think he’s scared of home since sometimes the home locked him up in it and makes him insane and have hunger
2:18 he can’t reach the food
would explain why he sounds so sad while singing
"Wally and his friends live in a time loop, and Wallys the only one aware of it"
Pretty much like Sans and the undertale timelines ?
*Now i understand everything*
Wow love this theory! I haven't noticed the book :0 this is a whole new window of possible theories omg
A game theory
Maybe Wally and the research team are scared of Home (the house 👀)
wally just deserves better
My theory is that why does Eddie have a tie that looks exactly like poppy’s feathers?(my other theory)do you remember when u said in ur last vid that Wally was being controlled maybe Wally is being controlled to smile all the time bye who is controlling him and he’s probably being forced to sabotage his other members
This is only a theory I’m not sure if I’m right or wrong”
2:05 I think he wanted to say that he can't reach emoji of food
i love this theory so much omg
nicole:wally what you want why you need help for?
The way wally and the house eye looks maybe the house possessed wally
Poor Wally...
Did not think of the screen being a literal one way mirror, I love the interpretation!!
2:16 he is propably talking about sweets tho
Mr wally.. I will help you
Btw "home" is evil
Wally really need a hug right now 😔
I wish the website can come back and be famous again like before, but other games are getting more fans , making people forget about the mysteries, and it's ok if they don't watch the mysteries, it's just that i need more videos of him,i just want to know everything, eveb the voice actors
okay, i know this was supposed to be a dark theory BUT THAT PICTURE OF WALLY HAVING A CAKE AS A PILLOW GOT ME WHEEZIN-
Yay, another theory about Welcome Home, 😸 I really liked your previous video. I do believe Wally is a victim
Me: fails to be the other neighbour.
Wally: Your free trail of life has expired.
Hay I got a question where is that wally puppet video at I have been looking for it
Wally…
Wally is Monika confurmed
I got better call saul's vibes from the thumbnail.
Better Call Walls ‼️‼️
Your voice and the cadence with which you speak is very lovely. 😊
