- Residents in a Kaneohe neighborhood have come together to look out for each other for the past 30 years. The Kaneohe Neighborhood Watch says its helped deter crime especially with many children and kupuna in the area.

I was born and raised in Kaneohe, but I've been in Alaska for a long time. We are a free people up here. We just carry our guns when we want. We don't even have a waiting period, no registrations, and no requirements to have a permit to carry our guns concealed or in the open. We love it. I don't need to be limited to relying on other people to protect me. My protection is with me where ever I am.

If the state would clear up the Unemployment benefits debacle of claims "expiring" we may not have as many radical and brazen crimes....tens of thousands are without benefits that the federal government has approved and funded. The state only needs to process the claims...or at least handle the call volumes and talk to people...gonna get worse soon
