- This video was taken when we first took delivery of our new 2020 Grand Design Reflection 295RL. The Husky 5th Wheel Hitch had just been installed in our new 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Custom equipped with the integrated 5th wheel puck system. The hitch is being setup for the turning point pin box at Layzee Acres RV Sale in Orillia Ontario.
The Turning Point Pin Box can be used as a conventional pin box or with a relocated pivot point at the trailer allowing more turning radius in a short bed truck without the need of a slider hitch.

Now that wasn’t cheap. Derek did look into designing a fifth-wheel RV but went with a small unit that sat in the pickup load bed instead. But yours is massive. Nice job 🌈🙏

I have heard a lot of good things about the Turning Point Pim Box. I like the way you have that system setup.
I couldn't be happier with the way that the pin box works, I am able to turn 90 degrees with the setup.

@Brad White we have stepped up to the GD 337RLS, which does not have a Turning Point Pin Box, but on the 295RL, we never experienced any sway.

Here it is classified as a 5th wheel trailer
Nope. When I was in Norway one summer I saw tons and tons of RVs, but almost none of them were of the larger styles you frequently see in the U.S. Mostly what you see would be classified as small class C or "B+" motorhomes running on smaller chassis.
I am not so much into that but it looks like a beast 😊❤️

It so how does it tow the big rig?
Yes the truck has the 6.6L gas engine. The truck tows the trailer with no issues, keep forgetting the the trailer is behind us most of the time.
Was this video taken when you first picked up your RV from the dealer?
Yes we had purchased the rig at the beginning of COVID and a couple days after we went into lockdown and wasn't able to pick up the rig for a few months afterwards.
Which wedge did you use? If any.

I went with the 6.6L gasser.
Is it necessary to use any grease on the hitch plate?
I coat the plate every once and a while with WD40 since I run the pin in the unlocked position.
There is no movement at the plate while the pin is unlocked.
How do you find the towing with that truck?
The 6.6L gasser tows the rig fully loaded without any issues.
Is that the 6.6 gas?
Yes it is.
How does it do towing the trailer? I have a gasser also and looking into this 5th wheel also.
The guy never torqued the last two bolts installed.
Everything was checked over prior to leaving. Good catch!
How do you find the truck pulls that big Rig?
I am very impressed with the trucks performance. The 6.6L pulls it like nothing.
