This man is brilliant. In the industry we talk of best practice, meaning you sometimes do not need to reinvent the wheel, be aware of what your contemporaries are doing and replicate or adapt to your situation.

You spoke my mind on him. Although people say he was ruthless, I have always admired his brilliance when he speaks. I will have to do personal research to know if he was 'ruthless' at will or based on what needed to be done in a military government.

As much as I may not like a lot of things that this man did under the abacha regime, I believe that he is the only one person speaking the whole truth about all that happened during those times especially as it relates to the death of Chief MKO Abiola, Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, the strike force, the death of Gen Abacha and chief Abiola etc. look at it, where he needed to own up, he did. Where he needed to say who did what, he did. All others have only just par-ambulated and told lies and propaganda. I think major Al Mustapha deserves a National award

I certainly respect the Major as a professional military man who stood by his conviction. One can never fault him on that as a military officer. Nonetheless, he waffles a lot trying to defend the despicable and terrible conduct of the military in governing the country by deception and dictatorship. On the contrary to what he says about the military being disrespected, the Nigerian Army have been notorious for being too ambitious to grab power for selfish aims at the detriment of the country from the 1960s to the 1990s. In a nutshell the impact of the Nigerian army to the country has been more negative than positive, no matter how it is sugar-coated. Nigerian has evolved within the last 25 years of no military rule to become the biggest economy in Africa, which was a far cry from the days of military dictatorships. Finally, the major adopted a patronising tone all through the interview. The lady should have been asking direct questions instead of just allowing him to talk and talk out of topic.

Sometimes when i see people bragging as me majors in the Nigerian Military in this contemprary military situation, i shook my head. This is a real major speaking and you could see every wherewithal, prowess and military intelligence in him.
To be a Major in the world Army, there are criterias for it.
For example, before you become a major, you must have fought a known major war, either in your country or in defence of other nations. Like this man.
This is a major General with a great element of righteousness through his religious affiliation.
Imagine the level of insecurity in Nigeria currently and we have thousands of Major Generals. Shame😢

I have listened to Mustangs, he is a very intelligent and honest man but let me disagree with you on the North and their leadership qualities. The idea of massive corruption and embezzling massive amounts of money without with impunity came when Fulani took over the helm of leadership in Nigeria. Every administration was corrupt but fulanis came with tricks like bringing a plane from Ethiopia and painting Nigerian flag on it and saying it is Nigerian air craft. They brought ethnic strife, they killed without remorse, it was with Buhari that we had of another ethnic group trying to invade and take over another. Yes, if I have opportunity to vote for Hamza Mustapha, I would vote for him but to say Northerns have leadership qualities is a long stretch.

Adesuwa performed exceptionally well during the interview. She displayed an excellent enthusiasm for uncovering ideas that Major Mustapha needed to be more open to sharing. Her approach is a perfect blend of empathy, facts, and a warm smile, which makes it easier for guests to communicate their true intentions.
Although there were a few misunderstandings during the interview, such as when she started the discussion from an unconventional angle by inquiring about the Major's background and why he isn't motivated by money, the Major instead provided a lengthy list of his military missions. Additionally, Adesuwa questioned how the Nigerian Military disrupted Nigeria's democracy, whereas the Major described how every soldier defends our nation and we should be proud of them. Regardless, she skillfully redirected the conversation to other intriguing subjects without holding him back.
During the communication, I couldn't help but notice the regular power struggle between elderly Nigerians and their younger counterparts, where older people dislike being questioned because they believe their experience encompasses every aspect of an idea and the younger one has no new or irrelevant perspective. During conversations, the elderly Nigerians will subtly remind the younger ones of the age gap, as the Major did several times, including when he mentioned traveling to the US in 1987 before Adesuwa was born.
While some, including you, @WW-Crime, may not have enjoyed the interview, many, myself included, appreciate Adesuwa's style of communication and learn from it. She is indeed talented at holding great conversations.
