Hardangerfjord [ Eng: The Hardanger Fjord ] is the fifth longest fjord in the world, and the second longest fjord in Norway. In the West part of Norway. The Hardangerfjord starts at the Atlantic Ocean about 80 kilometres (50 miles) south of the city of Bergen. The fjord stretches 179 kilometres and heads in a north-easterly direction between the island of Bømlo and the mainland.
