Love the addition of the 3, 6 and 9 markers. This, along with the textured dial, really adds to the vintage look. The grey dial is my favourite, then black, green and, finally, blue. Keep up the great work and keep well :-)
@@islandwatch Maybe you can hint to squale Marc that they need to upgrade that clasp... Just cheapens the piece in my opinion.. I'd gladly pay more for a really nice push button clasp ..cheers.
Mineral vs sapphire vs acrylic or hesalite is forever going to be argued with WIS. To be honest I have a ceramic bezel diver and an acrylic bezel and crystal gmt, they are both incredible in their own rights and provide a different visual experience. Mineral isn’t currently in my collection but I would venture to say it has its place and gives off a character that I would appreciate. Scratches are a part of a watches journey and even my submarine steel Damasko DS30 has a few scratches (supposed to be impossible to scratch). It’s a story the watch can tell and you like the look and the brand then buy it without worry. Great watch Marc, the version 2 is a home run in my book!
Awesome, Marc! I love my original Montauk with grey Fumoso dial. With the SW200-1, Élaboré-grade (adjusted in 5 positions), that watch was a steal at $429. I bought the bracelet also, which I highly recommend. It changes the character from vintage skin diver to modern diver beautifully. The new one is now calling my name also, especially the green dial.
Really are beautiful dials and just overall a harmonic balancer that is easy on the eye!! That gray, green and blue All amazing looking. Anything associated with Islander is a treat! When an educated enthusiast with good taste is involved it can take things to that level we can appreciate very much which has been the case and the fact that they all are tremendous value imho as well.
Ye gods, the blue and olive are gorgeous! Still mustering the nerve to sidle up to the polished blue 1521 and ask for a dance. Until I saw this, I didn't think I'd have to contemplate jumping two sharks! To say nothing of a few of the Islanders that strike my fancy. Deliciously difficult choices!
Wow! These look absolutely phenomenal! And I can’t think of another dive watch from an established Swiss brand (outside of the Swatch Group) that offers all this for such a comparatively bargain price! I’m sure these will fly off the shelves!
I have a question about the MTK-13 in Grey Sand. In the pictures on your website, the case and bezel appear to have a slightly tan colored finish. Is this just due to the lighting in the photos? Or does it really have that tan/khaki sort of finish on it? Thanks!
Wow! These are fantastic!! Now can I resist buying one? I already have the 20 Atmos 1545 and the Sub-3920 Corso Italiano (Whatawatch colab) that really looks a lot like your new Montauk! That green sand dial is a stunner... Update: OK, who am I kidding? I have 0 willpower when it comes to Squale. I just placed my order for the green dial and a bracelet! (time to sell a few of my other watches to offset the $)
I received my green dial version today and all I can say is WOW! If you are even slightly considering buying this watch, do it now! You will not be disappointed especially if you are a Squale fan. This is a fantastic addition to my other 2 Squale watches.
The Montauk's are really nice. The blue looks amazing on your wrist! I see some skinned up knuckles. Are you trying on way too many watches again!?! 🤣🐶🐕
I can't keep doing this anymore. I think I have a problem. 🙂 I just bought what I thought was my last watch of the year. How can I possibly resist this Squale? Loving the blue dial on the bracelet.
Very nice looking watches. I have the first iteration of the Montauk. Are you selling these rubber straps separately? Will they fit the original Montauk or are there other straps you would recommend?
Hi Marc, love your watches love your content 🙌🏻 I am certain that your brand are one of the best micro brands out there. People do actually love them so much! I am pretty sure that you are probably happy right now.
I know you are proud of everything that you have accomplished so far. I have come across many comments regarding your logo, I know I know that you do not care, but people are talking.
Would you consider to come up with a new logo idea? I think it will expand your customer base even more so. It's just my humble opinion. You can just disregard it totally. But this is my genuine comment. And I really want to see your brand get even bigger. Thanks again for your great contents and your impeccable knowledge. I have learned a lot from your channel.
I have an original Squale Montauk in the rootbeer dial and the optional bracelet and it is phenomenal. In fact the specs. on this watch are very similar to models on the Squale website costing more than 2X the price of the Montauk. I have worn mine regularly for over a year and the bezel being mineral crystal has been of no concern; in fact Squale uses the very same bezel on some of their more expensive models.
Those are nice watches Marc. Not my usual style of watch to purchase but I like it. And I'm not sure I could pick a color since I like them all. But if I were forced to choose, I would go for the olive green color. I love everything about them too. From the face to the bands, they are just well thought out in design. I usually go for something that is all steel in build.
These look awesome, but I gotta disagree with you about the old colors, as I thought they were fantastic! The bordeaux red and the root beer brown were my personal favorites. Maybe every iteration of the Montauk series could feature a unique dial. How about applied indices for series 3? Call it the mini-Matic Montauk LOL
Damn you Marc!!!! you're responsible for for my out of control watch buying weakness........ Kidding of course brother, I'm gonna kick this one around a bit(need to decide on grey or black, then of course there's blue and green, oh God) lol good stuff Marc, thanks again for great customer service and of course, great products..............
Green is my favorite color, but most green dials are a cheap looking emerald hue. Only interesting shades of green like this one make it onto my wrist.
They look nice, but I still prefere my original Montauk. Idk something about the brushed rehaut and 10-60 on the dial doesn't do it for me. Just preference.. I do like the new 1545 though, any video reviews on that? Thanks 👍🏻
As a long time fan and patron (a purchaser of many LIW Watches) of Long Island Watch, let me say how much I dislike most of the recent releases. They used to sell watches "that you actually wear" but have disappointingly strayed from that mission /approach as this is yet another "no date" watch AND with a ghost position at that. Also, like one of the recent Breitling models, it has an oversize chapter ring that is wasted real estate, resulting in a smaller than desired dial; you know, the part that tells you the time. Geeze.
Does the bracelet smells vanilla ? Why not remove the ghost date doesn’t Squale have Watchmakers plus Sellita 200-1 in Squale are all elaborè this is dropping Squale less costs should have Islander logo and TGV logo in the back case
Thanks Jeff! I mean, I think you can still tell the time fairly accurately, maybe not if you're storming a complex, but good enough for what most people use it for.
I figure if you can see the seven and the nine minute markers either side of the minute hand and not the eight then it’s on the eight? I get what you mean about the length but I guess if something is a deal breaker then fair enough. Personally I think it looks awesome!!!
Another re-release of a of a one time release of a "when they're gone that's it.. never to be seen again? 5711 formula wariness . I'll gadly pay you Tuesday for a Squalid watch today. 🥶
38mm, no date, these are a home run. Congrats

I dig the improvements and how the old style was retired. My dad absolutely loves his sunburst green Montauk.
Thanks Ben! Green was cool!
Great watch. It would look amazing with a matching rehaut and matching color bezels.
They look great Marc, my only concern is the potential durability issues going with a mineral crystal bezel insert instead of sapphire.
Valid concern, but it's the same as the original, and I never had a complaint of broken inserts.
Mineral is supposed to be less scratch resistant, but more shatter resistant.
Blue and green dial/strap combos are killer.

That colour set is just spot on ! Great job ! 😎
Beautiful! Bring back the date and I'm in!
First time smitten by a Squale. These are beautiful designs, Marc.

Great work Marc! Dare I say best value Swiss diver out there? What a home run, these will fly off the shelves! Gray is my favorite.
It is possible!
Saw the video, went to your side and bought the black one without consideration! Sir, you created a very tasteful watch!
Wow, that's great. Thank you!
I love this watch! What a beautiful piece, saving up for it🤩
Wearing my Squale Corso Italiano today. On a tropic. Very similar feel to the new Montauk. They look awesome!!
Nice watch!
Love the Arabic numeral dial. Giving a blancpain vibe. Looks great!
Thanks!
I enjoy to look at your watch. Thank you.
That green one is super nice looking.
That green is killer.
Yeah, grenade green!

Now I have to convince the wife!!
Very nice! I like the blue but the green is really unique. Thanks for sharing them and have a great Sunday! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

Squale helped!!!!
Really nice looking with great specs. Minute and second hand are a bit too long. Nice job over-all!!

Another winner Marc. Maybe I should just have my paycheck forwarded directly to you! LOL
I love my OG Montauk. Great update!!
Enjoy, thanks!
I’m interested in getting a reasonable price skin diver. Was thinking Dan Henry but I like that there is a bracelet option for this Squale.
Thanks!
I think they are an improvement. Very nice job 👍🏻
I think so too!
Amazing watch
That Blue is Niiiice!
Very cool . I like the grey best but all are very good .
Thanks so much!
Those are stunningly beautiful. I'm going to have to think long and hard about those.
Okay!
Looks like the Glycine Combat Sub with the 3/6/9 and textured dial
Oh wow that is absolutely stunning
Thanks!
First the Penn, now this. You're costing me some money this month! Great stuff.
Haha, thanks and sorry!
Ever getting the black one back in stock?
I want an orange or a yellow one!
Ha! Two colors we didn't do :(
Same. Orange would be the perfect watch.
TGV overload booop! boop! BOOP!!!!!!
Marc, these are GORGEOUS!
I'm a huge fan of my Montauk 1, and I really need a Montauk 2!
BRAVO!
Right on!
Beautiful watch. Am I seeing it right, that the bezel overhangs the case just a tad? Is it 38mm case, 39-40mm bezel?
I like this version over the original. Will be considering this for Father's Day as the TGV LE is my Xmas present to me.
Thanks! Great grab for holiday!
Do all the dials have the same green color lume?

I'm so happy that you brought this watch back with the changes you made. I just ordered one with the blue dial. Can't wit to get it on my wrist 💙🔥💙🔥💙
Great!
Shame it's sold out, I really like this one. I look forward to the next release.
Love the grey one!!!
Concrete!
You're making it difficult for me to pick out a new Squale. I'm currently stuck between the Montauk and the grey sun burst Super Squale.
I love it! Nlue, nlack, grey, green in my order of preference.❤️
i'm loving these!
Dammit Marc. My paychecks can't keep up with these bangers you keep putting out.

No plans to
Blue Sand? Is a very nice sand dial. But how about Ocean Blue, Seaweed Green, Oyster Shell Grey & Pearl Black. Just a thought since you asked. :)
How would they be for 7.5 inch wrist?
Depends on your taste, mate. On average, it'll be just fine and the same size of the Rolex Submariner Sean Connery wore as James Bond.
How many positions is this movement regulated to?
Standard grade adjusted to 2 positions.
