How many days it take to get money for you

I checked some of my old pins, but they had no views. How can I promote them to make sales?
Hey Mike, That's AWESOME! That's such a great story for beginner success and proving it can actually work, it's not some pipe dream. It all depends on how you strategize and design your pins as to how much traffic/how often they get clicks. Were you using Amazon Associates for your affiliate marketplace? Keep going, you're off to a great start!
If you've already designed/published the pin unfortunately you can't change the pin image itself but you CAN update the Title, Description & Link. So maybe try some prompts on ChatGPT or another AI chat generator to get some brainstorming going and make sure to not only use the AI generated text. You'll want to add some more human elements to the words you say. If you want to promote as in running ads, Pinterest has a fairly easy to use Ads option you can choose how much you want to spend boosting your pins as well as targeting the keywords/audiences. That is always an option if you'd like to test the market with a little cash you have on hand.

Pinterest will ban your account if you use amazon afiliate links or too many of them. Been there…you need a web/blog or at least a landing page to host your affiliate links.

Pinterest has recently approved the use of Affiliate Links from outside marketplaces, however you just need to be smart and strategic about using them. Yes, it's true if you place too many in your pins you'll get banned and that's a huge red flag for both Pinterest and Amazon. Just be smart about it and create high quality professional looking pins that bring value and benefit the viewers and you'll be just fine!

Here's the difference explained directly from Amazon: The Amazon Influencer Program is an extension to the existing online Associates program for qualifying social media influencers. You get similar benefits to the online Associates program, including reporting and online account management. With the Amazon Influencer Program, you also get your own page on Amazon with a URL to showcase the products you recommend to your followers, giving you an additional way to direct traffic to Amazon, which is especially useful when promoted verbally or in an environment where hyper-linking is not possible. You can use your Amazon Associate or Storefront URL links either/or to promote products on Pinterest. Please let me know if you need some more clarification, I'd be happy to go into more detail. Hi LehrerLaurin, I would start with 1-2 high quality pins a day. High quality can mean something different to everyone but in my experience if it's clear/crisp the imagery and text and is able to draw someone in to click the pin that's a win. The combination of solid pin design and Title is something that definitely takes time to learn and gain expertise on, so don't be too hard on yourself if it seems like nobody is clicking on your pins. Testing is your best friend with online business in general especially Pinterest. For niches to get started with, these are the Top 3 in my opinion: Finance (Make Money Online), Health/Wellness/Parenting. Those all do really well, are evergreen niches meaning they are searched for all year long. I hope this helps!

I really appreciate your support, thank you! Honestly, I can only share my experience and give you advice based off what I've personally experienced. I know there are A LOT of different opinions, methods and short cuts out there for Affiliate Marketing. In my experience, none of it is true & doesn't work. Let's start with the basics of Amazon Associates, you definitely need to have some sort of a blog/website or active social media following to make consistent sales, however that shouldn't scare you away. What I did in the beginning was create my blog & pinterest account simultaneously, that way I knew I was posting articles and pins together. But you DON'T need a blog to be successful, but you do need an active social media presence online. There's NO guarantees people will click your pins, you'll make money or be successful unless you put in the effort and try, right? Make sure you are consistent in posting pins I would say 3-4 a week if possible, high-quality meaningful pins in your niche (topic). As far as making sales at first, you need 3 sales within 90 days of signing up. You can ask people you are close to to help you out. Amazon doesn't like when OTHER Amazon affiliates purchase from one-another so definitely don't do that, also make sure family with the same last name doesn't buy either. You want to follow their Terms & Conditions so you don't get in hot water with them. I also wouldn't rush into applying if you aren't ready or don't have enough of a following on SM. It looks like you have 3k Subs on YT, so that's MORE than enough for Amazon to approve you.. Have you been putting Amz affiliate links in the descriptions of your videos? Remember to be patient and consistent, this takes time and there's A LOT of ups and downs, nothing is guaranteed and this DEFINITELY is not a make money overnight scheme, it's a business method and takes strategy. I live in New Zealand and Amazon associates isn’t in our country. Would eBay affiliates be as effective ? Or should I look for another affiliate program
Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it. I would say the Top 2 to look at would be Mighty Ape & Clickbank. Mighty Ape looks like it pays a 5% flat rate commission on all 880K products, that would be pretty close to an Amazon Associates program. Next, I would say look into Clickbank and see their rates, since they are a marketplace and have different companies selling different products their commissions will most likely differ depending on the offer you choose. Hey Shahbaz, Yep you definitely can post affiliate links straight to your pins. However there is some common sense that we have to follow in order to stay true/follow Amazon's Terms & Conditions. I would not use Amazon stock photos for products, create your own in Canva or another imaging software. Also, don't spam your audience on Pinterest or any other platform. Try to focus on creating high-quality pins maybe 20-30 before you post any affiliate links. You definitely want the ratio of affiliate links to be a lot lower than your normal/traditional pins or you'll definitely get banned. Please let me know if that helped answer your question. Thank you for your support first off, I really appreciate it. Direct linking within Pinterest is supported but I think some of the misconception is using common sense. Like with all other social platforms if you purposely put too many affiliate links in your pins url without providing value and benefit then you're highly likely to get banned. I've been using Amazon Affiliate links without any landing pages for over a year and haven't had any issues at all. If Pinterest deems the target url suspicious it will let you know and then you can just adjust accordingly. Also, when posting Amazon affiliate links I wouldn't use the direct listing photos from Amazon in your pin, take them for inspiration but change them and make them your own in Canva or another video editor. Hey Amy, great question. I just want to make sure I'm answering correctly. Do you mean how do you get the affiliate link once you have signed up for Amazon Associates? Or how do you create your affiliate link to promote a product on Amazon? Please let me know here and I'd be happy to go into further detail for you. Also, the 2nd part of your question about having to be approved for Amazon's Influencer program, that's actually a separate program but kinda like a "add-on" to Amazon Associates. How soon should we see results after posting on Pinterest
Hi Christine, there's a lot that can go into someone having success with Pinterest Affiliate Marketing. It's hard to say how quickly you'll have success. I know that is a generalize/vague answer but if you choose Best Selling products on Amazon, maybe get inspiration from Pinterest trends and work on creating a professional/intriguing pin design you could see success within weeks to months time. Please make sure you don't put affiliate links in EVERY, there is a high likelihood you'll get banned possibly from the affiliate marketplace as well as Pinterest. Hey Jeffrey, I'm sorry I don't think I fully understand your question. I will do my best to answer but if you need more explanation I'd be happy to provide more info with a little more detail from ya. Okay, so you get paid directly from Amazon themselves, that's who you are an Affiliate for. You can choose how you want to be paid out, for example bank account or another online financial platform where you can receive money. Once you make a sale (commission) you'll get paid the month after so roughly 45 days I think it is after you get the sale. Please don't quote me on exactly 45 days but I think it's something close to that. You'll do all the payment adding in Amazon Associates website/setup. Great question, Yes & No... To make sure you are safe and following Pinterest's guidelines as well as Amazon Associates guidelines, you can't use images directly from Amazon listing, you'll have to create your own in Canva or any other photo editor. Also it's best to put some verbiage in your pin that states it's an affiliate link or paid link, something of that sort. Also, one of the MOST obvious ways to get banned is to spam your links/content. You have to mix it up and make sure NOT every pin has an affiliate link embedded in it. Hope this helps!

That's a good question. I would definitely recommend at first starting with ONE Pinterest account for one niche/sub-niche that way you can get laser focused on creating the highest quality pins that generate intrigue and engagement. It's also important as you are first starting out to stay in one lane so to speak and craft your skills, getting better with each pin you create. I can't wait to hear how your progress goes!!

Yep! My Pinterest account is still active and thriving, it's LoveNatureReviews on Pinterest. I think the majority of the time people get banned from Pinterest/Amazon Associates or both is because they get too greedy and try to spam every pin they have with affiliate links. At the core of this business I think common sense has to come into play a little bit. Keep yourself safe and follow Pinterest & Amazon's Terms & Conditions and you'll be just fine. To your Success!

That's a great question! To be honest, I would start with what you are passionate about, or love talking about. For example, if you've been a lifelong gear head and love hot rods, then that should be your niche, then you could sub-niche/narrow down your niche even further to like Ford Mustangs or something to that effect. If you are passionate about a certain topic and can talk for hours on/about it chances are you won't get burned out and it won't feel like "work or a "chore". That's a great question! Sure thing, so I know a couple months ago Pinterest was pretty strict about specifically WHAT links or WHERE the links went to you placed in your pins. As long as it's a reputable site you'll be fine.. Any well-known Affiliate marketplaces, i.e. Amazon, Clickbank, Walmart etc.. Should be fine to link directly to. Just make sure you have an engaging Title & Description so the person clicking the pin is accurately directed to the product you mentioned. Please let me know if you have any further questions. @@dilipmakwana8750 I would start with making 20-30 high quality pins first to get some traction on Pinterest. I definitely would not put affiliate links in ALL your pins that would look super suspicious to Pinterest and the may flag your account. When you create the images for your pins, make sure they are original, unique and custom. Stay away from using direct product images and also you can mention in the pin description that this is an affiliate link for more transparency. Hope this helps!
Do we need a website for Amazon affiliate marketing
Hi Christine, thank you for the question. The short answer is yes & no. It really depends on what type of online presence you would like to run your business. Traditionally I think when we talk about Affiliate Marketing the first thing that comes to mind is a blog/website writing articles and reviewing products etc.. But since we have so many options for Social Media platforms which you can successfully start/build your affiliate marketing business there you don't 100% need a website. It's really a personal choice and what you would like to do and what you enjoy to be honest. I personally am not that big a fan of writing articles, I didn't do to well in English class so that's kinda a sore subject for me.. But.. If you really love writing and coming up with new & creative ideas to spread the word about products you love then I would say Go For It! I personally do have a blog and social media both at the same time, but I tend to lean more on the social media side of the house. Hope this helps to give a little insight into the thought process.

You CAN do it Maria! Just remember it takes practice & patience to learn new skills. There is a lot of trial and error when it comes to designing pins and being able to create something that is enticing and engaging enough to get people to click. Don't give up!

Hi Maria, Yes it is allowed to put Affiliate Links in your Pinterest pins. You just have to be smart about it and have some common sense when constructing your pins. Just remember you'll want to limit the number of pins that contain affiliate links, you don't want to flood ALL your pins with links that will just get you banned. It's important to not directly take images from Amazon sellers for example, you can import them into Canva or another photo editor and make some changes so you create an original design. Also, if you want to be extra safe you can mention in your description the link is an affiliate link and you may get a commission. Hope this helps!
How much traffic did you get to make $2000? I want to try this but I don't think there will be enough traffic to make any money.
Since that account I used was a brand new account, no real following I decided to use paid ads, I believe I had somewhere in the ballpark of 50k-75k impressions. Definitely start slow and build up your audience with your Pinterest account, this definitely takes time to perfect and hone in on your audience, unless you want to run paid ads. Hey Robert, yep you'll need to be an approved Amazon Associates affiliate to use the special links to promote products. When you first sign-up Amazon gives you 90 days to get 3 sales or they can close your account down. Not your Amazon account itself just the Affiliate Partner account where you can earn commissions.
Really? Even if they don't buy the tent you can still make a little commission if they buy whatever in their cart within the next 24 hours? WOW. What percent is that? Still 10% of the total of what they both?
Hey Jennifer, This is why I LOVE Amazon's Affiliate Program, it rocks! There is a lot of negative comments online about how Amazon's commissions are so low and it's "not worth your time". Which I couldn't disagree more, I mean free money is free money, right? You are correct, so if someone clicks your link for the tent but has no intention of buying the tent but needs diapers, cleaning items or a fall sweater and have those in their cart, they purchase those items you will get a cut of that. The commission does change based on the category of item purchased. It ranges from 1% - 20% depending on the item. I'm not sure of the categories off the top of my head but if you google search "amazon associates commission rate" you'll see the breakdown of the categories and what percent commission you'll get if someone buys those products. Also is there a strategy for beginners to follow, because i believe no one should be posting amazon links right off the bat as a starter. Should there be a timeframe to this like weeks or days into posting?
You're right, I definitely wouldn't recommend just coming out of the gate blasting a bunch of Amazon links on your pins, that's a super quick way to get banned. I think the common misconception is that you can't EVER post Amazon affiliate links and Pinterest will automatically flag your account, which isn't true. Here's what I would recommend for beginners (in no particular order). Start with a passionate niche, an idea or topic you could talk for hours and hours about, that way you have a less chance of getting burned out when you're creating your pins. Next, I would think about creating a brand for your account, meaning have a similar style to all your pins aka template. That way when you people start coming across your pins they will automatically associate them with you and your account. They don't have to be perfect and probably won't for a while, until you get down a style that you are happy/comfortable with. There's no hard/fast timeframe on when exactly to start posting Amazon or any other affiliate links.. But I would say once you have 30-40 high quality (as best as you can) Pins with engaging Titles/Descriptions then you can start plugging in some affiliate links. I ABSOLUTELY would not put affiliate links in every pin, that's definitely asking for trouble.. So maybe like one affiliate link per 15-20 Pins. Every keeps saying post consistently, i think that's pretty common sense you have to keep posting like 2-3 pins a week to get into the groove and let the Pinterest algorithm start to find you. Here's where patience and consistency really come into play. Don't get discouraged too quickly, these things take time, no matter what anyone says. Great question! Depending on which Affiliate Marketplace you are using, for this example I used Amazon. All payouts will be from Amazon to your PayPal or Bank account. If you used Clickbank or Digistore or some other affiliate marketplace they would send your earnings based on their payout schedule. Hope this helps! Thank you for your support

Hey Pearl, you absolutely can do this with NO website/blog for sure. If you already have a niche in mind that's even better. If you have a Social Media following let's say YT/FB or somewhere else you can use that account/url to get approved for Amazon Associates. When you're creating your pins on Pinterest I would suggest if you are starting a totally new account fresh, create 20-30 high quality pins with NO affiliate links, that way the Pinterest algorithm can start finding your audience who they'll ultimately show your pins to. Also, if you put something at the bottom of your description in your pin that states it's an affiliate link but "helps support me" type of verbiage that's even better to stay on the positive side of Amazon. @@pearlreynaofficial Sounds like a great plan! I think you are doing the right thing starting from zero and really focusing on the home cafe niche. I would personally create a 2nd or separate Pinterest account just for this niche. That way you can be certain once you start gaining traffic/likes/comments etc there won't be any confusion on who Pinterest thinks your audience is. Making pins for sure would be your own content/images/pictures/designs in Canva or anywhere else you'd like to design in. I just like Canva because it's free and it's super simple to use. There's no real high-end features but that's okay if you're just starting out. To clarify on the whether or not you put any affiliate links in your pins.. I would say don't add any affiliate links in any pins until you have 20-30 high quality pins published. You want to build up your trust level with Pinterest and start gaining an audience who engages with your content before you push sales on them. Once you have an established account 20-30 pins then you can apply for Amazon Associates affiliate program. If you DO have another social media account that already has an audience you can use that account to apply for Amazon Associates even if you aren't planning on promoting affiliate links with that platform. It's really just a means to get approved showing Amazon you already have an established social media following. When you are creating your pins and you write your descriptions, at the bottom of the description in the text you can add some words like this pin contains an affiliate link and I may get a commission but it's no extra cost to you and it helps support my channel or pinterest business. It's really just additional layers to keep yourself safe & within both Amazon and Pinterest guidelines for Affiliate Marketing. Does that make sense? My pins aren't showing the link in the bottom left hand corner like yours is, it shows it above the description though. Am I doing something wrong? Also, did you promote your pin or is it just a free regular pin?
No worries, you're doing it right! Sometimes mine show up formatted a little different too. If you followed the steps in the tutorial you're all set! All of mine were from free traffic/regular pins at first, then to spice it up I try paid ads pins. I mostly prefer free pins because the potential for traffic is SO large without spending extra money, it was just for testing purposes 😂

Hey Michael, You can definitely do this either way depending on which you prefer. It maybe easier to design your pins or other graphics on a laptop computer. However there are so many design programs that have mobile capabilities that you can definitely make it work solely on a phone. Also, everything you need to setup would be the same regardless if you were on a phone or the laptop, you just need internet access. Good luck and please keep me posted on your journey!

You actually don't need a website to become an Amazon Associate. However, when you sign-up you'll need to submit some sort of online presence, blog/website, social media page, LinkedIn page etc.. Before you apply for AA I would have your Pinterest banner/logo icon setup and create 20-30 pins on a topic (niche) you are passionate about. Does this kinda make sense? Good question, so Amazon has what is called a 24 hour cookie. That means that for exactly 24 hours after someone clicks your affiliate link Amazon tracks every purchase the customer makes for 24 hours and you get a commission or cut of the total dollar amount the customer spends. No worries at all! You can NEVER have too many questions. For Shein to be 100% honest, I'm not too sure. If you go to the their main page and scroll all the way down you can look for Affiliate Program or Partner Program, something like that is what they put in their footer or bottom of their website. Then you can click on that link and read about their specific Affiliate program (if they have one).
Great question, So for the Fashion Niche, great niche by the way.. Since that's a large niche (nothing wrong with that) but you may want to "niche-down" or sub-niche like pick a smaller sub topic within Fashion to reach more targeted audience. That way you aren't competing directly with the huge companies. I would go to Amazon and search Best Sellers in the Fasion Niche and see what has the highest reviews and ranking, that is definitely a great indiction those products are selling. So, yep you'll have to sign-up for Amazon Associates first, that's their affiliate program. You'll need to provide either a website/blog url or social media account so Amazon can review your site/socials to approve you. Before applying to Amazon Associates I would create your Social Media accounts, Pinterest, FB etc first.. I would first start out coming up with a high quality design. Something you can brand and keep in-line with all your other pins. This way when someone starts to see your pins they will associate all of them with the same account/brand/company etc. Next, I definitely would be strategic about really bring in value in your pins, definitely don't put affiliate links in ALL the pins. If you happen to have a blog/website or YT or some other social media following I would cross promote your links where appropriate. Finally, you can definitely dive into Pinterest Ads if you have some extra money to use towards ads. You want the Title to be engaging, I like to use ChatGPT to get ideas. If you read the Title/Description and it comes off as salesy/spammy to you it probably does to others as well. Hope that gives you a little guidance on where to start.

Anyone with any knowledge in Amazon affiliate will know you are not going to make enough money to make it worth your time. It is to supplement other forms such as a blog. They pay only 1to 6% now I think depending on hwat type of product it bought. You will be lucky to make $10.00 a month ussing this method. Dont believe me ? go ahead waste your time.

Yes, you are correct the commissions range from 1% - 20% depending on the product you're promoting but everyone has to start somewhere with Affiliate Marketing, to me it's more about learning the skill of choosing products right for your niche and learning how to promote them on various social media platforms. Also, imagine if you have 1k, 5k, 50k visitors a month clicking your Amazon links and even those little commissions will start to add up. I've seen many people successful at Amazon Affiliate Marketing it's just a matter of putting in the work, grinding and finding the right strategy that works for you. Hello! Yes, you can definitely use ClickBank for Affiliate Marketing. I've used it in the past and had some great results. I personally tend to utilize Amazon a lot more because you don't have to really "sell" someone on buying from them. Everyone knows & trusts Amazon already.
