Thank you for the feedback. Humidity is starting to climb in our area, so we will be turning it on soon for it second season.

It has been running 24/7 for a week with no issues, except for me having to empty the water tank. And it not part of the recall of dehumidifiers announced today, www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2023/Gree-Recalls-1-56-Million-Dehumidifiers-Due-to-Fire-and-Burn-Hazards-Reports-of-At-Least-23-Fires

This unit is roughly the same model as I am getting delivered in the uk which is rated at 33L which is roughly the same as 70pints, excellent review.
Getting this device to replace my old dehumidifier due to the machine being around 5 to 6 years old and has a musty smell constantly coming out from the machine which is not good for my health.

Regularly clean out the water tank with vinegar or similar solution to avoid odors and bacteria growth.

This was helpful vid. Are you using continuous mode or just emptying the bucket? The price difference is around $50 and contemplating however maybe with a pump it eliminates a broken pump in the future.

Except for a recent trip I just empty the bucket. I discovered the included hose for continuous mode kept curling up so I substituted a short garden hose into a shower drain. Worked nicely for the five days we were gone.

Bought one a couple years ago but I cant get a replacement drain hose. They tell you to go to sulvane, but sulvane says they dont have one

I just attached a short garden hose to my unit when I needed to drain into the shower pan while I was out of town. I found the included hose to be too short and it wouldn't straighten out. Hope this helps.

By reducing humidity, does it warm up the place or does the place become cold?

Max, a by product of a dehumidifier is heat and depending on the size of the room and whether or not it has AC it could make the space feel warmer. In our crawlspace the dehumidifier makes it warmer as there is no AC cooling in there. In our living space the reduction in humidity level allows the body to cool off through perspiration evaporation. Thus a person would feel cooler and comfortable as opposed to warmer and uncomfortable. The AC maintains a constant temp which with the lower humidity can at times feel a bit chilly. Hope this helps answer the question.
